Mine hasn't changed much in the past year and a half...I posted it on page 8. Only differences:

* GTS450 replaced with GTX470 (it was free): Can't justify buying since I only use it for mining dogecoin and playing minecraft...
* 550w PSU replaced with 850w PSU: Old one barely carried the load and kept shutting off.

My next upgrade will probably be an SSD or video card.

I did however build another server called Prometheus since I got the MoBo and CPU for $110. Copied from another site I posted it to:
Quote* MoBo: MSI MS-7680
* CPU: Core i3-2100 @ 3.1Ghz
* RAM: 16GB DDR3 1333Mhz
* HDD: Seagate 80GB HDD (From a dead Dell, holds the OS)
* HDD: WDC 500GB HDD (From Pandora, storage)
* ODD: None
* VGA: Headless
* Fans: 3
* PSU: Generic 500w
* OS: VmWare ESXi 5.5, VMs: 2x Windows Server 2003, 1x Windows Home Server v1, 1x Linux, 1x vAppliance (Linux-based)
* Plain Rosewill mATX case

Have decided now to upgrade my computer. Tomorrow i am gonna uprade my PSU. Gonna buy a Corsair with 750W PSU, and then i am gonna upgrade my graphics card. I have already a Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 with 3GB VRAM, but i am gonna buy a MSI GeForce GTX 970 with 4GB VRAM. I have to upgrade the PSU on the computer because 500W is too low for a GTX 970. My processor will stay the same, it is good enough. I have plenty of RAM already. I have 12GB RAM, and then a Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz

New graphics card and PSU finally installed to my computer :D

Upgrading my computer next week. More upgrades. I am gonna have a new CPU, CPU cooler, new motherboard and a new chassi.

Chassi: Corsair Carbide 200R Midi Tower Black
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz
CPU cooler: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-PRO GAMER, Socket-1150

That 4790K is really going to help you out.

I am planning to build a new PC, because my GTX 570 want to refuse work more and more. I have it since 2012 and it did a good job, though.
I want to buy a new PSU and a GTX 1070 (or 1080 if really worth it) in june. So I can still use my current system with the new card for a while. Two or three months later I want to buy a new platform (new CPU, Mainboard and DDR4 Ram). I consider to get the 6850K or 6900K, just because I really need some extra cores.

Nice upgrade path you have planned. Those new processors would have been considered a supercomputer not too many years ago.

Yeah, I've originally planned to get a six-core CPU but it is just too expensive for me. :/

*dust*

I have built a new rig few weeks ago...
...because I wanted more RAM and a few extra CPU cores for more power. :)

current:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core CPU 3,8GHz (Boost 4,85GHz)
MSI MEG X570 Ace
2x 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600MHz
1TB M.2 Samsung SSD 980 Pro (OS)
1TB M.2 Samsung SSD 970 EVO (Games)
1TB SATA Samsung SSD 860 EVO (Music and often-used stuff)
512GB M.2 Samsung SSD 960 Pro (VMs and databases) (reused from my previous PC)
2x 4TB HDDs for various data stuff and backups
bequiet! Dark Power Pro 11 750 Watt (My previous PSU died and so RMA... they send a new 750 Watt PSU instead ;D :D)
CPU cooled by a Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black double-tower cooler with two fans
All installed inside a Fractal Design Define 7 case

I planned to get a new GPU, too. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get one with an acceptable price. And if one is available, the get out of stock within minutes! So I still use the GTX 1080.
