As i can see, win 8 is only a win7 based OS with some minor differences on the folder appearance. I can't find the reason why do i have to install it? (So far. We have a long way until the final version comes to the shelves of the computer stores).
As for the year 2012 i guess, nothing will happend. It's all in the head of the Hollywood's scriptwriters.

Windows 8.... hmm....

I finally switched to Windows 7 from XP in late 2010, mainly just because I needed DirectX11 and 64bit functionality.   ;D
