Fellow Na'vi enthusiasts, Comic Con is fast approaching. From the time of this post, all 4 day passes are sold out and all Saturday (July 24) passes are sold out, so if you want to go to Comic Con, now is the time to purchase your pass. One Day Passes are $35 for adult and $17 for Juniors (12-17) and Seniors (60+).  Days available are Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Friday is almost sold out, so it is important that purchase your tickets as soon as possible.

If you are interested or already have purchased your tickets. Reply to this thread. Let's try and at least get organized prior to entering the convention hall so that we may meet each other face to face. While in the convention hall, it is highly recommended that you stay in groups as well. If you want to go by yourself, you will be at the mercy of the crowds and where they want to go, so please stick with friends.

If you have any questions about Comic Con or how to get there, here is there website. http://www.comic-con.org/cci/
I also live in San Diego, so if you need information outside of Comic Con or perhaps tips of where to go, what road to drive, etc, just ask here or PM me.

Motxokxen

sadly i live across the country, (Florida) so driving to San Diego is not an option.

:(

If I get sent there, if I have some time, I'd happily get together with some people from 'round here.

That is, however, unlikely. :-(

Kaltxi!

I already have my passes for Friday and Saturday. :)

Like Reronsem Si already mentioned, get your pass ASAP, they're almost all gone!

Even if you don't get into the Con, if you live in Southern California or close enough to drive to it, we can make a meet up! Let's roll this plan!

Eywa ngahu,
Txen Seri Unil

Old name: Rawveggie. Upgraded to Na'vi name.

Txen Seri Unil = Awake + Make (present continuing tense) + Dream = Waking Dream

I have my four day passes, been monitoring since July of last year, haha. I'm pretty sure for most of the days I'll be on my own; stupid friends don't listen to me when I tell them this event is massive. Keep me updated, yeah?

I could not get the time off from work.

I will have to plan for next year.  :'(

Another way to get into the con is volunteering. If you volunteer for one day, you get a day pass for the day you're volunteering, and one for a day of your choosing. It's also always a great idea to give back to the convention - I had a blast last year, despite missing all the panels due to lines the lenght of 17 city blocks.

Taronyu Ayunilyä Alahe

it is sadly, unlikely to go all the way to San Diego. I'm farr away... *sighs*

Just got accepted for volunteering. I'm pretty excited as this is my first Comic Con (or any convention, really). Hopefully by July I'll be, in the least, passable at Na'vi.

Swok Txon

wow awesome

if only i lived in America...the place of dreams...and conventions

i can only hope  ::)

I am absolutely going to Comic Con, for at least Friday and Saturday, so count me in for the get together.  I already have plans for a wicked Na'vi costume. :D

Hey guys, in talking with Paul Frommer about ComiCon I asked him if he would like to appear at the Phoenix ComiCon panel that we're going to have. He unfortunately said that he was probably too busy for that (prior engagement) but that he would be delighted to come if he was able.

He did however mention that he would be interesting in coming/speaking at the San Diego ComiCon and could probably make that. So, are you guys doing any sort of panel or booth or something like that? Even if not, I could ask Karyu Pawl if he would like to just come and meet you guys or something along those lines.

Let me know what you want me to tell him.

Bump on this question.

Karyu Pawl has gotten back to me today about the Phoenix ComiCon panel which I posted in that one. He also implied that he was going to keep his schedule clear for the San Diego ComiCon and will likely make an appearance for whatever we're doing here. Please keep me updated and I will pass the information onto him.

Anyone got hotel space? I manage to forget booking one :)

Skxawng

I'm probably going

From what my coworker says, a hostel is also a pretty good option in SF.

I may end up being a vagrant for a night or two though :P

I'm looking at plane tickets ... looks like I'm going to try to get there Wednesday night, and depart Saturday at noon or so.  Those who are going ... do you all have travel/time plans? I'd like to maximize the experience and spend the least ...

It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to go to the con, but I'll be quasi in the area, so if y'all are planning on hanging out before or after, I'd like to join in.
