Awesome. I wish I could read french haha, they did some fantastic blending work around the edges of that prosthetic to make it disappear like that.

How does a man choose between fresh and fly?

Don't thank! You don't thank for this! This is sad... VERY sad only!

Great looking stuff.  Naturally, there's something about the mask that doesn't look right which I figured out was the spacing and shape of the eyes and the shape of the mouth region.  That's okay though, since us humans can't move our eyes around on our face!

Some of the edges could be smoothed out more, but overall a good job.  Prosthetics seem to be a very good choice for going blue!

Personally I'm not much of a fan of the built up cheeks and brow bone.  This looks TOO much like a lion face for me.  But then, I'm obviously going to go for a softer, feminine look.  This WOULD work great for some one trying to look like Eytukan I think. :)

yeah, im not really digging it either. looks like its from star trek. if they worked on the color then meybe it would have been better.

It's too jowl-y.  I put my finger over the point where the cheek and make up draws downward, close to the lips, and it becomes MUCH more Na'vi-like if you imagine the make up and prosthetic smooth around that area. It lessens the "muzzle" look of the piece.

Now that everyone has nickpicked it to death. It's cool when you consider it's make up on a human head not. Computer generated one. I personly would have just done the nose only rest in colors but each make up artist have their favorit ways of doing things. Sure needs work but beats the heck out of rubber mask. I see this as version 1 I bet you in time it will get better and better. But I look at this as a base to work from, yea Col Q likes the possbilitys I can see here

It's definitely a great find! And it wouldn't be difficult to snip away the unwanted portions of the prosthetic and use Isoproply Alcohol to thin out the edges and blend them into the skin where you want them to go. :)

For anyone who wants to take a stab at ordering it, the website is: http://www.atelier-du-grimeur.com/ (as visible on the images, but I'm makin' it easy. ;) ) and in the forum he mentions this item isn't shown on the website, but can be ordered by contacting him and stipulating you want the "grande prothèse Na'vi".

It may be the route I end up going.  I think this would work a sight better than the kind of flimsy Woochie prosthesis.

Hello Na'vi fans...I saw this post and just wanted to add that I am now selling professional Na'vi prosthetics.  They are cast in foam latex, very detailed, and have feather thin edges for blending.  Here are a few photos:

You can purchase them here on my webstore:
http://www.reelmagik.com/REELMAGIK/STORE.html

and here on Ebay:

If you have any questions, you can email me here... [email protected]

Please check them out!

Well... I was wondering if someone bought the two of them an which one is the best looking. Does anyone tried this?

I can't say anything about the one from France, but I just bought the one from REELMAGIK, prepainted, along with the ears.  Fantastic!  Fits me perfectly.  It's so soft and stretchy, and it's painted beautifully.  The veins in the ears look so real.  I can't wait to actually wear it for something so I can show it off.  My girlfriend now wants one also, and the REELMAGIK guy told me he is working on a female version that should be done soon.

Wow, these are all pretty impressive. They look a little out of proportion though with the human face but maybe that's just me. Obviously it's hard to find the balance of matching the Na'vi and keeping the nose from dwarfing the human face.

Perhaps a nose not as wide to help make the human head look bigger by comparison (and perhaps this nose would work better for the female costume/cosplay people).
