Today, August 19, is the approximate day humanity's demand on nature exceeds Earth's annual capacity to regenerate the resources. This day is called Earth Overshoot Day or Ecological Debt Day. This day is expected to happen earlier as the years go. What happens during the rest of the year? We draw down our ecological assets. So each year, we are destroying our nature and our ressources. Even if some efforts are made, it's not enough yet, so the Earth Overshoot day continues to happen earlier each year.
