Good day everyone, after months of lurking I have finally decided to join this community.
I will probably be posting often in this section of the forums. I work for the Sierra club and as such see this site as a great opportunity to spread the word about various environmental events that we need public support on.

Saturday June 25th is the Hands Across the Sand event. This is an event that shows our conviction and opposition to off shore oil drilling. It started last year after the horrific events of the Deep Water Horizon incident. Turn out last year was fantastic, and we hope to repeat the success this year. I am Floridian so this event is very close to my heart.

Here is a link to the Hands website

You can search by state or country to find events local to you, or you can create an event. Encourage friends and family to attend, and support we can gather is fantastic.

Probably going to be sharing quite a bit more here in the coming month. There is a massive anti-ozone pollution campaign coming down the pipes and we really need all the support we can muster.

Please feel welcome to post about any environmental issues or campaigns you wish. As you suspected, there are a lot of environmental supporters here.

wow, it sounds really cool, too bad there is no event in Croatia, even if there is I can't join because I'm far away from sea and beaches :(
