Here is the place for our forum users, young and old alike, to post a little something green they did today.  This can fall into any sub-category, just so long as it's green.

The one small rule that could get us many posts for this thread: you have to honestly mention a little something you did to help save our 'Rrtan planet.

(This idea was inspired from ACE, where they collect these so-called "dots" for the same thing ;D)

Example: Today I saved electricity by leaving my energy-efficient computer off ½ the day.

NB: I always turn my monitor off whenever I leave the computer for long periods of time
Hopes that this thread can live long and prosper where it's at!

Nice idea!   :)

Let's see.... this afternoon I went through my large junk mail pile, shredded the sensitive info like all those &$%# credit card offers, and and put everything else in the recycle bin.  Shredded paper goes on the compost pile for my flowers to love next spring.  :D

80+% of the food I have eaten this weekend has either been something grown (or in the case of last night's venison procured) locally, or has come out of my own garden, which means a lot less fossil fuels were needed to transport it to me.   8)

Seeing as how I live on an island, transportation of foodstuffs is even more of a concern than for people who live on the mainland

me and my 3 friends (who i usually carpool with) all rode our bikes to school *45 minutes by car 2hours 15mins by bike.* everyday this week. saving about 6+ gallons of fuel on transportation.

I patched my air mattress instead of throwing it away and getting a new one.  Of course that was mostly because it was so dang expensive.
