Jim Cameron is teaming up with Schwarznegger to produce a documentary series about global warming.

Director James Cameron is teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger to produce a docu-series about global warming.

The New Zealand-based Avatar filmmaker and veteran action man will air the project, Years of Living Dangerously, in six to eight hour-long episodes on US network Showtime next year.

Longtime environmental champions Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Alec Baldwin have signed up to serve as narrators, with climate expert Daniel Abbasi also lending his support.

"We'll make it exciting. We'll make it investigative. We'll bring people the truth, and people are always hungry for the truth," Cameron told industry publication Variety.

Executive producer David Nevins insists the development of the series couldn't come at a better time since America's North East is still reelling from superstorm Sandy.

"The recent devastation on the East Coast is a tragic reminder of the direct link between our daily lives and climate change. This will make for a thought-provoking television event," Nevins said.

Cameron recently bought a tract of land in Wairarapa.

He attended the premiere of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in Wellington.

GREAT!  Perhaps people will finally en-masse,  see that "Sandy" was a TASTE. Of what is to come,  if we continue to murderer our Mother. If the masses can be made to truly KAME the way things REALLY are,  they,  by their sheer numbers will bring whatever needs to be brought to bear,  to END this insanity.
