There is currently a street exhibition in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, made by French photograph Yann Arthus Bertrand.

From his photographs of remarkable places of our planet, from so many countries, he is one of the popular people who really contributed to sensibilize ourselves not only to the notion of the Earth being our home, but of being a precious and fragile place that we love through his photos and that we should protect.

His exhibition started the day following the adoption of a new law allowing a much wider deforestation of the Amazon rainforest, that has not yet been ratified by President Dilma Roussef. No doubt it will though, sadly.

You certainly can't see the exhibition from your eyes if you aren't in Rio right now, but there are many of his photos on his website, classified in 108 different countries. As we all come from very diverse areas, I thought you would like to have a look to our beautiful home, even in our own country. ;)

Each photo comes with a description.
