Na’vi lessons in the forest during EA3
« on: January 31, 2013, 06:11:37 am »
This is an idea excluded from whatever K. Pawl has planned (if he has planned something :P )

As last year, I’d like to establish a daily Na’vi lesson. We did this shortly after breakfast each morning at a theatre-like place (see below). I think last year we did roughly an hour each day dealing with pronunciation, grammar and of course speaking practices.

I’d like to continue there.
Now, I realise that there may be reservations as to your ‘proficiency’ or your ability to take in vocabulary and new information early in the morning after a short night ;) :P
But I think and hope we’ll manage.

If there is a need for a devision between beginners and intermediate, I’m sure we’ll find a way.
But I would really like to see that we could all learn together, actually just having a plunge at speaking the language and having fun.

Ideas and what to cover (besides just speaking pracitices ;) ) are more than welcome.

Sìlpey oe, awnga fìtsap tsäpìyeve’a tsatseng ;)
hope we’ll see each other there

Definitely good idea. I have no big practice in speaking, so in bigger group will be harder to hear mistakes  ;D

And, yes, that's what I say every year, don't I?

This is kind of what we should have done here in the 'States. A time each day to really concentrate on Na'vi, in a place where we are with people who are at our level. Well, maybe next summer!

I’m not really comfortable with this … I don’t like being filmed. Audio is fine, though.

Okay, that shall be respected.
 - so we'll need a wireless headset for that. Recording audio in the open space of the forest is quite difficult, anyway.

I gather that there’s the idea of a trr leNa’vi Nì’aw :P
Talis and I succeeded in doing this back in October 2010 with a lot less words than we have now.

As part of the preparation, how about a regular meet-up on TS? ’Eveng te Atan, Tanri and I had a wonderful chat nìNa’vi nì’aw last Wednesday. If we get to know each other a bit better and overcome the first shyness of speaking Na’vi in fron of each other (I know, I have this ‘problem’ ;) ) then it will be easier at the meet up in Berlin :D

How about that?

Not bad idea, time is becoming short. What days you suggest - is it Wednesday?

Monday, Wednesday … I could also try to convince my study group to join NgayNume with Xelloss (on Thursday?)

Even better idea. I'm coming usually on Tuesdays only.

Also possible, of course ;)
Although I’m not sure whether I’ll be there tomorrow evening… :-\
