Film Studies is fascinating. Honestly. People say it's a soft subject, but we've been doing a Mexican cinema theme, so we've been doing Amores Perros, etc, and for that we've had to learn the history of Mexican politics, and analyse how it could've affected the films made during the eras of various political reigns. :) It's so interesting.

I actually went to West Buckland School, my parents were into the whole private education system, north Devon College 9(Or PETROC :P) was still an option

I'm more on the outskirts of Bristol since I'm at Frenchay Campus of Bristol University West of England, studying games technology \o/ but yeah, about half an hour from Temple Meads, made a few mess ups on bus journeys and got off there instead of other bus stops, so I officially hate public transport now. I probably live nearer to Bristol Parkway at the moment.

What was work experience like at Temple Meads? :O

I hate the name PETROC why did they even name it its stupid. Few of my mates went to West Buckland they used to gloat to me because they had longer breaks than us haha. Well it was like this, I got lost every 2 minutes and the traffic is unbelievable, thats the problem with Bristol really its impossible to know where your going its horrible! Maybe you get used to it?

I wanted to do I.T but the courses were pack full so I couldn't get in its amazing no one has dropped out yet, going to wait for more options hopefully A Level or Diploma awards at least. Haha work experience was really a joke it was for only a day though so I was quite relieved, but getting out the City is so hard! And i thought getting in was even harder haha. Studying Games Technology? Woah apparently you need good Maths for that?

When I found out they were renaming it PETROC I just laughed. And we did have longer breaks at West Buckland, but then again we worked 9-4 every day and couldnt leave until 5 if we used the buses, so blergh! Who were your friends? I may have heard of their names at one point :P

Bristol traffic is apparently the main reason not to go to university there, and I'm pretty sure it's due to awkward junctions and stuff like that. A while back we were dropping my sister off at uni (she also goes to Bristol UWE) and the traffic across the entire city was pretty much at a standstill due to a Bon Jovi concert or something coupled with rush hour >.<

Luckily, with the course I'm on, lots of knowledge about maths isnt required, which is lucky becuase I kinda struggled at GCSE due to slacking, still trying to get my mind around programming though since this is the very first time I've ever done something serious. I personally love using the 3D modelling software we get our hands on, when I got back from actually seeing Avatar I decided I would recreate the Scorpion gunship, and when the basic thing is done I'll probably post it up here on the fanart/creations pages.

As farn as my work experience ever went, I worked in a solicitors when I thought I wanted to do law, my A Levels really had nothing to do with videogames :P Spanish, History and Philosophy!

This forum doesn't encourage people to deny Cameron and Frommer of money that is rightfully theirs, do not request pirate/other-wise-acquired copies of the film even for educational purposes. As it's your first post, I won't do anything, just don't do it again.

As for helping you learn the language, I'd be glad to, I'd send a request but I can't work out which one you are, my facebook is tìkawngä mungeyu btw.

Edit: just releasised, I think I've already got you *embarassed*

Heh, Ben and I were in the same year, but we never really talked.

As far as real jobs go, I'm not sure. I'm seeing how this Games Technology course turns out, if I really enjoy it, I may try and take a masters in it to get a job in the industry, or I may try and go down the 3d animation route, either way I'll be trying to enter into an industry which is quite picky with who it employs, which kinda sucks :P

how about you?
