Well I was going to wait till we set a date before I started looking for that, but hostelworld.com is a useful site for finding hostels. I'm not that good at finding cheap hotels because I pretty much always stay at hostels (at least when I'm the one paying, haha). And did we decide on a date yet?
I don't think there have been any objections to 28-29, so how about we make that the preliminary date?
We learn from our mistakes only if we are made aware of them.

O.o didn't see that someone has revived this sub board :)

I would be interested in an euro meet up for sure, there are lots of you who i really wanna meet :)

Time window for me would be 27dec to 10jan.

Copenhagen would rock i would definitely be there, bc it would be a very short way for me ;)
Gothenburg will be a bit more difficult i would have to check the ferries costs, but its still possible.

How about a summer meetup at the beach in Croatia? I'd say that'd be epic

if you could come to croatia, i would invite you in my house at seaside... 7 people can sleep in it, and the rest will be camping in the woods next to the house (a lot of people do it) ;D
i love that idea... croatian sea is the best, trust me ;D

I can try if it is definitely going ahead... Croatia is a bit further and harder to get to, but if there's a real chance of a meetup... :)

Is that the ferry from Germany or from Denmark? I think the one from Denmark should be cheaper, but I'm not sure. Also, if you're going that way, there is also a bridge.. but it costs a bit too.

was from germany, because from denmark there would also add some "drive to ferry" costs so iam not sure if its much cheaper,
but anyway, before i can plan travel we will need a fix date and location ;)

the summer Croatia idea is nice too ;)

Well, it seems like it'll be December 28th-29th. We also said Gothenburg but it doesn't matter to me if it's changed, we should just decide something so people who need to book stuff can do that.

This is the route I will go if I can make it. Hopefully my parents let me borrow their car :) In that case I should be able to pick up up to 4 aytsmuk on the way.

Also, on 28th December it's exactly 1 year since I saw Avatar for the first time! Win!

I don't know, but it seems possible to find a hostel for ~200:- (€20).

I am going to have to pull out. I've been reviewing my finances, and I don't think I'll be able to pull together £100 for a three day trip. I may be able to do something in the summer, but not this christmas.

Sorry guys. :(

And no, that wasn't a request for help, if anyone takes it as such. To be honest, I also want to get all of my thesis background work done by new years, and I'm already overbooked on projects as it is.

Sorry guys.
