Kaltxì ma smuk!

tse, I was curious how some of my favorite screenshots would look in UHD (3840x2160) but as far as I know there are very rar images who are in UHD avaliable, so what one can do?
My first idea was just to take my favorite screenschot and up-scale it to UHD, but it looks blurred, so I tryed to test with some various filters, but it can't fix the blurred images.
Well then, there is only one way to reach the target: using the tablet and "repaint" it (or better said, try to make that image even better).

Yesterday, I just started with that images from the Pa'li clan landscape, but I started with the moons and stars:

I'm curious if my experiment will be successful. :)

OK, look, it is possible, but as someone who's been at this kinda thing a long time I can honestly say it's a lot of hard work and the end results are not always that impressive.

My tip would be to upscale past where you want to get to, work on that over scale file and when you are 100% happy, reduce the scale to where you want it to be.

Photoshop has 'sharpen', 'sharpen more' and 'unsharp mask' filters, they're good up to a point. There's the sharpen tool and a whole mass of other techniques too, all have limitations as well.
Used in combination by someone with a lot of practice the results will moderately successful, if they really care and they have unlimited time, the results can be fairly good.

Bottom line, you are right you can't filter data into an image that's just not there, you have to draw it in. That's where some real skill is involved to make it look seamless.
Working at overscale helps, as you loose a good few minor flaws when you shrink it back down.
