Making Your Own Atokirina

I've been working on making my own Atokirina, i only have pictures of my first few failed attempts, but I'm working on it day by day

please feel free to post any ideas about how to improve it, but I should have some more up tomorrow!

Lots of people have been showing interest in making their own, or purchasing my final product, so with everyone's help, I'm hoping to make all this possible!

Well, this is one of the options our "leader" said was acceptable, so I guess this is where it can go for now.

Here are my pictures of one way to make them. Very simple, fast, but not super effective. They generally have the shape you need, but not the exact quality I was looking for. A good first attempt, but the final product will be much different

(all of these ones are orange because I didn't have the "plain" glow in the dark materials to use yet, but that problem's been solved as of today!)

. I think you need a mod to do it.

Well, we'll see if one stumbles on this! lol

I made a few others that weren't as good, and they have the piece in the middle, so I know for sure how to make those, so I figured I'd work on their outer shape first, and do that later, since that's the easiest part of it!!

Well I bought some very thin wire, and I'm hoping to mold it to just the shape I want, then use the glow material I have to cover it, and then make the inner part. Taking it a step at a time though, and as always, open to helpful information!

maybe if you take a bunch of those glow in the dark stars and melt them down and then form the hot plastic over the wire frame of the Atokirina. It should still glow in the dark right? Plus it would be fairly skinny and hard ish to break.

Oh! my Atokirina glow in the dark! the orange ones don't glow as much, but the new ones I'm making glow MUCH brighter, and they're white and pretty transparent in the day light. I'm making one just like the one I posted with that material, so I can see if I can take a picture of it glowing

For sure! i'm hoping to make two kinds for purchasing, but right now these are just the prototypes.

The final product will come in two sizes:
to Human scale (about 3 inches tall)
and
to Na'vi scale (about 5 1/2 inches tall)

If we're trying to make the same ones as the movie, they would be very large, because they can fit in the palm of Neytiri's hand easily, and she is much larger then I am, or any humans are, so they would be much larger.
