My Na'vi

after i saw everyone was making their own navi, i decided to join in, but i had no idea how to photoshop. two weeks later and i have learned a ton!

so here is my navi. he took a good six hours to finish. all the manips i did before this one had horrible noses. i couldnt figure out how to get it just right. thins time i took my face and cut it up in sections and blew them up.  for me, this was the easiest way to make to nose.

i still have a lot to learn but , here is the best one ive done yet! any tips on improvement it highly appreciated!

not bad for your first one, but very very dark, and kinda angular. Hopefully someone with better advice than I have will come and help you.

they allways turn out dark from some reason, butit was a dark picture to begin with.

i fixed the nose and i brightened up the color a bit. i think i made the dots too bright thou.

any tips is greatly apreciated!

I'd say that your eyes are a bit too high, unless you've got a particularly long face - if I could see the original image I'd be able to help a little bit more.  The eyes feel a little TOO large, as there is not enough skull to the sides of the head to support the sphere that the entire eyeball would take up - try widening the cheekbones and the outer part of the brow just a little more.

Additionally, the dots are not dots anymore, when they should be just dots. Keep it up, looks good!

It looks better after the remake. I think the nose still needs a little work. I would make it wider between the eyes and widen the cheekbones a little. It would make it look more native Navi like. Also the dots seem a bit too big. Keep up the good work
