humans are naturally stupid and fear change and difference
so most likely they would try to shoot the ships down

I think that even world leaders see a movie from time to time. The military will be on high alert, though.

What about that? It's only the first step on the way to a little painting (oil on canvas). If you like it, i will post the next step tomorrow (than the last stratum will be dry and I can continue - especially with the eyes an the forehead).

Yeah, that looks really great. Very interested in seeing the next few stages.

Oh, I'm very glad that you like this little study. At the moment we have night here in Germany and that's why I have to wait for tomorrow to continue (you need real daylight).

So I make some preparations for other paintings. What do you think - should I try to show N. defending Jake's body after the Tsuh'Teys attack? I think that's one of the best scenes of the hole movie and I'm specialised in such active, scetchy themes.

But I was very very deep impressed by the night scenes, too - all the glowing plants, the hidden lights!

Went to the movie with a friend and said I find Neytiri attractive. He looked at me like I was some sort of creep. Later I found out he went four times in total. Three more times, just for her. LOL

there are indeed wonderful scenes in the movie for us doodlers to exploit:D
to me, the night scenes in the village are technically the best for painting, you have light, shadow, reflected light, contrast, and millions of colors:)

What I would love to see someone paint is that one creature that when touched flies into the air in an almost helicopter motion.
It was beautifully colored and would be a fun picture to look at.

It's the Fan Lizard, isn't it`? Lets try tomorrow! I like the hole scene, when the lizard was starting. It was a beautiful moment!

Quote from: Skai on December 24, 2009, 01:16:16 AMbut as i was trying to say if i was a Na'vi, i'd find her attractive.
Then Cameron set out to do what he hoped to do; back in August io9 reported that Cameron was trying to make the design of the Na'vi "approachable" in the "yeah, I'd be up for some cross-species intimate interaction..." sort of sense. Check out the full article on io9 to see the poll they put to their readers at the time; the current results are that the most popular responses are the two extremes of the question, with "yes, I'm definitely attracted to the Na'vi." coming in first, quickly followed by "The whole idea repulses me!".

It's really good.  But isn't the gauge in her other ear?

Other than that, *thumbs up.
