I like to mess around in Zbrush quite often. Usually its not for a serious project, as I just sculpt from an existing figure...I haven't gotten the finer parts of the program yet. But as a sculptor, its much more fun and less messy than using clay. :3

This is just something I was playing with. Its supposed to be a female Na'vi...slightly more feral looking than normal.

This was my first try...She came out looking a little too feral...less like a Na'vi and more like something from Thundercats (panthro anyone?)

after some tweaking, I think I've got the right idea. The eyes were enlarged and the nose was fixed. I'm not going for perfection, just playing around and trying to come up with my own Na'vi character....

Hope you like. :3
So what if I'm a furry?

The first one looks a lot like Eytukan but the second, I think, is a wonderful step forward.
"If there are self-made purgatories, then we shall all have to live in them."

I would ...

- Soften the brow - its a little sharp, particularly on the bridge, it would seem
- narrow the tip of the nose - female na'vi nosetips (including nostrils) are ALWAYS thinner than the bridge
- make the jawline much more smooth from the front view

looks pretty good .. I've been waiting to get my hands on zbrush for a while now, hopefully in the next two weeks or so I'll it :D

Still playing with her features and trying to get the eyes just right.

About the nose...all of my characters seem to develop large noses...no matter the gender...and since each individual Na'vi is as different as each individual human, I can see a female having somewhat more masculine features sometimes.

Actually, with the exception of Augustine's Avatar, every avatar or na'vi I've seen has a smaller tip to the nose by comparison to the bridge and brow area.

no need to use bold for emphasiss....like I said, this is a work in progress, it still needs quite a bit of work.

forgive me, I can be a proportion-nazi literalist when it comes to representational art :P

The rest of it looks good I simply could not bear to not point out that the nose felt out of place!

Simply awesome, but the nose should be less sharp at the point.
Keep going and keep us updated, can't wait to see this develop.
+1 from me
Pasha, an Avatar story, my most recent fanfic, Avatar related, now complete.

The Dragon Affair my last fanfic, non Avatar related.

Does anybody here use poser? Looking for Na'vi morps and skins but can not find anything.
Very strange, might be because of copyright reasons as your are not allowed to call it a Na'vi, making it hard to seach for.
