Fair enough, I wasn't really expecting a yes but figured it was worth a shot.  :D

You've certainly got a huge amount better since that first one, I look forward to seeing it revisited.

Skxawng, I loved your videos on YouTube. :D Your Avatarization is the best I've seen. :) Too bad that you didn't show us how you painted the ears and the hair, etc, I always love looking at that. <3 Amazing job on the hair, I guess I should check out the different kind of brush settings Photoshop has to offer more often. XD

I'm glad you enjoyed them!

More important than simply throwing around different brushes is using the right one for the job.  Aim to be more economical with brushstrokes - it'll not only look better but it will be faster.  If you're trying to do a smooth gradient, a sharp, hard brush won't do the job.

When things one day settle down I've been thinking about doing another video on brushes, brush creation, and brush use. Got a lot on my plate right now tho :P

Oh yes - I've also asked a few questions on your YouTube tutorials, as I'm trying to Photoshop the hell out of myself too. Could you answer them, it would help a lot (it's about the eyes). :3

The nose is really troubling... I've tried the liquify option, but the details on my nose would disappear, as I'd really have to make my nose tons bigger for it to look like a Na'vi nose.

That was pretty cool. So the other four are complete non sped up tutorials? Which type of photoshop would I need?

I read somewhere that he used Photoshop CS4 for this but that he normally just uses CS. I have CS2 and the same tools are on it and CS is almost the same as PS7.

I have no photosop tools so I have no idea what those are besides different versions of photoshop.

They're just different versions indeed. ;)  Just get whatever Photoshop version is best available.

It is very expensive to buy.

Photoshop elements is cheaper, but also pretty expensive.

Thanks for the kind comments, all! 11k views! I'm blown away!

I'll have some more time to answer questions in a day or so, frawkxe

can you do it with with elements? Because I got that for free with a graphics card a while ago. Wasn't sure if it was a trial or not but it never had a window pop up saying to upgrade to ful or prohibite me from doing something due to it being a demo version.

You may not be able to do every move that I did in the tutorials, but there are more than enough tools in elements to be able to do it, you just may have to do more painting than photomanipulation.

I guess I'll just ask my friend if I can use his computer since he is in graphic design and computer arts and things like that. How long did it take you to do that?

takes me between 3 and 4 hours, though don't expect to too close to that number, especially if you're learning the program.
