This is a bit of a work in progress...  You can all figure out what tune it's sung to.   I'm going to try to do this for Karaoke in 2 weeks at a local Science Fiction convention.

But I still have no idea what song it is.  Even so, it's still a good song

Yeah, the tune sounds familiar but I can't pin it down to the song of origin.  I loved the rolled Rs....  They were great.
If I could make a small request:
Could you tell us the tune the lyrics go with, and also put the lyrics into syllables that go along with the beat?  I'd like to take a crack at singing this!
