Tribute to James Horner (replacement post)

<< < (3/3)

Tstewa Ikrantsyìp:
I know it doesn't rhyme like I intended it too, and I know I could've done so much better, but I wanted to do something because it was making me feel bad, and I felt I was owed to do something.
Here is my poem written about James Horner, to honour his memory.

Birth of music

In a place not seen by human eyes
In a clutch of silver trees
There stands a tree that sings a song
This song will set you free.

This song is filled with gladness
With longing and with pain
A song made up of endless years
Whose beauty can’t be tamed

Now very few have heard this song
Or know the trees long past
Of a man whose spirit lingers there
A spirit with a singing heart

The spirits name was known as James
Whose wish in life was clear
To spread his music, ‘round the world
For anyone to hear.

The sadness felt by many
Of those who knew this man
Received a gift from this tree of music
A gift that they then shared

A thousand years would pass this tree
And it’s spirit companion too
But one thing that will stay the same
Is the music in its roots.

The gift these many people shared
That was given by this tree
Was the gift of James’ music
To honour the man’s memory

And to this day James’ music
Echoes softly on the wind
With the whistles of the birds
The natural family of the wing

You see my fellow readers
This tree was unlike any type
It sang his songs to the birds
of music found in James life.

And so his music flew on the wind
And straight into a persons heart
Despite not knowing from where it came
Or where the music starts.

It is clear to me this tree had a gift
Of which is your own choices
But many a’ person knew this tree
By its name, The tree of voices. [/size]
