Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

162)~Ateyo wondered how many of the ayeveng would be curious to know about their dead parents, after seeing her reaction.  She decided that there was plenty of time to explore that in the future.  She also worried that tonight would be many nightmares.  She now understood why ayfyeyntu had been unwilling to tell her about her mother, Pxelani.  It was saddening to consider reopening their pain.  She decided that they could explore these histories later. She asked in a loud voice:
"Did you enjoy riding with the kind hunters?"
This got the kids sufficiently diverted.  They each chattered excitely about the power and the strength of the various ikrans they each had ridden.  Ateyo was pleased to see the bonding occurring between the ayfyeyntu and her ayorfan.  She was even more excited to see the hapxitu of her olo' placing the children on their shoulders.  Although each child had thoroughly enjoyed their ikran rides, their true bonds were with her clan members.
Meykir'ite and her young hunter, who was nicknamed Kxetsaw, each had a child upon their shoulders. Ka'alani and Taifa'  had been chosen by the 'evan Kofi, who was seated upon Taifa's broad shoulders. Ikxeru had lifted a young lad, Kamlau, onto his shoulders, Meykir chose the oldest girl, Tsunu, though she removed her beaded fxile' first, before allowing the child to clamber up.  And the girl named Tanìs climbed onto Captain Janet Henderson's shoulders.    The Captains  Wade and Daniels were satisfied to remain uncles. Each child was on the shoulders of their favorite uniltìrantokx or Na'vi.
A spontaneous rendition of IKRAN FLYER ensued, with other parents bringing their children upon their shoulders.  But the ayfyeyntu truly bonded with the ayorfan when they committed tsaheylu,  during the dance. Of all the times the ayfyeyntu had played with the children, Ateyo had never witnessed the BOND occurring between pairs.  It was even more stunning to realize that the ayfyeyntu  had adopted that child as his or her own.  Suddenly, Ateyo was struck with a sudden personal loss.
Tai could sense Ateyo's loss as they watched each new family walk off towards the campfire of Olo'Zongsteng Alor.  She wrapped her arms around the child-sized Na'vi woman and kissed Ateyo's neck and shoulder.  "It looks like you have performed your duties well!  You have provided a chance for tute to find an 'evi for themselves. Look at all the new soaias that have formed.  Do you know what that makes you?"
Ateyo pushed away her sadness and said, " Kehe, keomum."
"That makes you their AUNTIE!"  this got Ateyo's attention.
"Tsalì'uri alu AUNTIE, ral lu 'upe.
Ka'alani and Taifa' had joined up with Tai and Ateyo.  Ka'lani was quick to explain. "AUNTIE is BETTER than a Mom or Dad. Auntie gets to play alla time wit da kids. It's dakina Sa'nok, but not!"
Ateyo was somewhat mollified to hear this but hers eyes were anxiously scanning the crowd.  She couldn't see Pxepxi.  Where was her little Pxepxi? But she felt a tiny scratching feeling on her wrist.  "THERE YOU ARE!  Pxepxi I thought you found a sayrìpa taronyu to stay with!"
The child crossed her arms across her chest, stuck out her petulant lip and shook her head. "Kehe."
"Pelun? Ma Pxepxi? Didn't anyone offer...?"
"Srane! Ketxsaw wanted to take me."
"Ketxtsaw si Meykir'ite!  They would make a txantsana soaia!"
"Kxawm! Slä oe new nga lu oeyä Sa'nu ulte Ma Tai lu oeyä Taronyu!"
"Au PxePxi! That makes me so happy!  I would love to be your Mommy!"
"Slä, Ma Pxepxi!  I don't have an ikran!" wailed Tai in mock dismay.
"Don't worry, Ma Tai! You will soon! Ma Eyktan Ikxeru said so! Make it a red one!"
"If Ma Oeyä Pxepxi, says that I will have an ikran atumpin, then I guess he will choose me like you choose me!"
Tai got down on one knee and Pxepxi vaulted upon her shoulders. "You are my Ikran and we are bonded for life!"  With that the child took meswin  and joined them together.  Tai was immediately struck with themind melding intensity of the child's entire BEING, past and present, and was nearly overwhelmed with the intensity of the tsaheylu with this little one.  "Oeru meuia, Ma Pxepxi."
Tai immediately shuffled in a dance step towards the campfire of Eyktan Ikxeru and Tsahik Meykir. who welcomed them joyfully, as did Meykir'Ite and Kxetxsaw, with Istaw and Tsa'pra upon their shoulders.  "We've added vol ayevi to the families of our olo' today!" cried Tsahik Meykir. " Ulte mrrfyeyntu corrected Ateyo, as the three pilots and the two techs stood up.  Exuberance filled the wide common area under the Omatikaya Kelutral, as the ayolo'eyktan ulte ayolo'sahik welcomed their new familiy members hapxitu soaia.  Spontaneous dances occured with children laughing and saying KALTXI CUZ to each other, and the adults saying KALTXI CUZ to the new ayhumon who had been approved by Ewya. This expanded to the children of the Omatikaya clan and their families. It started getting messy when Ateyo passed Pxepxi a piece of food.  The children decided to pass around morsels of food, feeding each other and their riders, and unfortunately, getting grease and crumbs in everyone's hair.
Pxepxi suddenly announced in a loud voice, "Stop Everyone! Listen! Ma Tai and Ma Taifa' are going to do the Fire Knife Dance with me sitting up here!"
"Iìììììììììì, KEHE!!! " said Tai, looking in astonishment at the child's wild suggestion. "Are you crazy!? No 'evi on top when we throw fire knives.   But FIRST, YOM YOM KO!    Pxepxi was giggling too hard to complain.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

163)~   While they were eating, the great Mo'at descended the steps made of roots that led down the interior of the colossal Tree, under which they celebrated.  Voices called out to greet her, and some even inquired about the health of the Stranger.  "We have been watching you celebrate from up above.  It seems that Ewya has smiled upon our peoples, joining them into one enormous family! We no longer have ayorfan! We no longer have Strangers."  With his she glanced pointedly at Ateyo, who had forgotten her animosity.  Txett is awake but very weak.  He needs to eat, but Ma Krekori recommends only broth. Ma Meykir, could you offer us some? Meykir, of course, already had some marrow bones simmering for tomorrow's meals.  She ladled out a generous portion into a wooden bowl and offered it to Mo'at. But Mo'at did not extend her hand toward the bowl.  Instead she turned to Ateyo and said,  "Ma Ateyo, would you bring this up to Txett."
It was stated as a question, but was most assuredly a command.  Ateyo took the bowl cautiously, not because the broth was hot, but because the situation was.  Her eyes glanced nervously towards Tai and Ikxeru. But she knew no one could rescue her from this task. She turned her eyes toward Mo'at.  "What should I say?"
"Say what Eywa would have you say." was her simple reply.
As she followed Mo'at up the steps, she thought she could hear, JakeSully say, " No one argues with the Dragon Lady!   quote It Has Been Decided!" unquote." He ignored Neytiri's scowl.
Ateyo was stepping carefully so as not to spill the hot broth on herself.  She carefully composed her face so as not to reveal her contempt for the man who was reclining on a bench.  She tried not to meet his eyes, as she held the bowl.  She stared at it and blew on it gently until it was cool enough for her to take a sip.  She then presented it to him with an explanation.  "We met on rather unhappy terms. I drank some broth first, to show you that it is not poisoned." Ted sort of guffawed and tried to meet her eyes but said, "Irayo, Ma Tsmuk." Meanwhile Mendllzong let out a hoot.
"HOO HAW! Vat did I tell you about dis kid! She's a riot!"
"Yeah. A regular barrel of monkeys." said Ted with a wry grin. "Irayo, Ma Tsmuke." He tried feminizing the word.
  "Nìprrte'," Ateyo said reflexively.
"Do you understand some English?"  She nodded.
"Look, Ma Tsmuk.  I am very sorry to learn that your mother was murdered by a human when you were little.  That must have been a terrible thing for you to have witnessed.  But you know it wasn't me, right?  I mean, I was just a baby at the time, on 'Rrta. In fact, you and I are probably the same age. And you know that not all humons are bad. Kehe kawng, srak?  I mean Krekori, is part human, your pilot friend is half human. Don't hate me because I was born on the same planet with the bad guys. I HATE the RDA. I HATE what they did to you Na'vi people, and I HATE what they did to this planet. I was NOT an RDA soldier.  I only worked on their Talk Machines."
   "You not RDA soldier."
"Kehe. NOT RDA. I left. I came to find Eywa. I came to the Big Tree, The Well of Souls.  But I came when you had learned that your mother was murdered.  I wish I hadn't showed up just then. But I can't undo it.  I am very very sad for you. Do you believe me?"
Ateyo took the courage to look him in the eye. "Srane, Oel ngati omum." she murmured.
Ted rushed on, he had had hours to think of what to say. "Look, we don't have to be friends. Just don't hate me."
Ateyo realized that hatred was entirely irrational.  "Eywa saying you having Blue Heart.  Must to being true. I am very sad, and very angry at RDA.  You are not RDA. I not hate." Ateyo looked at the man once more.  Her had some hair on his face, but not as much as Krekori once had.  You want more PeyPay? PeyPay, PxePxi.  She smiled to think of her new Daughter.
"Irayo, slä , kehe. Maybe later." Ted Demaria was grateful to see a tiny smile on the corner of her mouth as he handed her the empty bowl.
She looked into his eyes deeply for the first time and said,"Oel ngati Kame." And as she turned to leave she saw that Mo'at was smiling approvingly at her.

164) Pxepxi was waiting impatiently for San'u Ateyo to come down the steps.  From her perch upon Tai's shoulders, she could  see Ateyo's feet.  "Did Mo'at drink all her soup?!"  Ateyo used that as a likely explanation, and displayed the empty bowl upside down.  "Where is Ma Txett? My Sa'nu?"  She grinned at being referred to as Sa'nu and at the fact that she had been caught. This child let nothing slip past her!
"Ma Txett drank the soup. But he said he doesn't want anymore."
The others were incredulous. Tai spoke first, "You actually talked to him?"
"Nìlun!   As Eywa would have me do."  Ateyo felt like she was being tested, but decided to come clean.  "I drinking some first and tell, It Not Poison!"
Ka'alani blurted out, "What did he say?"
"Him laugh and say, I being pxarrll monkis. Ma Krekori say I riot.  What is Pxarrll Monkis?"
Once Taifa' heard the word RIOT he realized that SHE had heard Barrel of Monkeys.  "He said you are like many aysyaksyuk. 'o'.  prolemurs. entertaining
"SYAKSYUK SYAKSYUK" cried little PxePxi and Kofi.   Pxepxi, stretched all the way over to Ateyo and transferred nimbly from Tai's shoulders to hers, and announced, "MaTai sì Ma Taifa' siyrew hu txep-aytstal."   "Makto Ko!"  Ateyo dipped and turned and made Pxepxi squeal in delight. Taifa' and Kofi followed suit until they reached the chopper.  Kofi clambered onto Ka'alani's shoulders while Tai and Taifa'  retrieved their Nifo Oti and some fuel.  Suddenly it occurred to Tai' that this might NOT be the safest activity to demonstrate to me'evi.  She stood between Ka'alani and Ateyo and reached up to both little heads and brought them close to her.  Taifai' sì Oe promise to teach you this dance, but not with Txep.  You have to promise not to play with Txep. Ever.  Hrrap!  Promise to us and to Eywa that you won't play with Txep unless we are teaching you."
Each child said,  "Kawkrr uvan sì hu Txep. Oe Pänutìng!"
"Set, kä hu Ka'alani ko. Kxawm poel lu kar ngati pamptseo si au." said Taifa' "  " Ateyo and Ka'alani, with the me'evi   on their shoulders  preceded the dancers to the clearing within the cavernous Kelutral. But the me'evi were anxiously watching to see the dance begin.  They shouted and cheered at the top of their little lungs.  But then so was everyone else.  In the excitement of the dance, no one had noticed that Krekori was escorting Txett Demaria down the steps.  Which was just as well, because he was escorted lu uo utral  on the other side of the Tree, to attend to personal matters.  When he had finished, Krekori saw the fire knives appoaching. He sat Txett upon the lower steps, which were designed for ten foot tall Na'vi and took a lot of energy for Ted to climb and descend. Mo'at came and sat on a step above them.  They were very proud to show off the talents of their me'eylan, Tai and Taifa'.
"Mefo work magic with Txep!" boasted Mo'at.
"Aw the fire dance!  I saw this performed when I was stationed in Hawaii."
"You was Army or Air Force?"
"Army.  I was at Scofield Barracks, before joining RDA.  I saw both the Samoans and Tongans do it, You are right Ma Mo'at.  It IS magic!"
"So you vas a soldier?" asked Mendelson.
"Electronics Specialist.  That's how I learned radio communications."  replied Ted.
At that point, Ka'alani started the rhythm on the hard-wood sounding-block.  The high pitched tone made it sound more Tahitian than Samoan.  The drums were different too.  The music wan't necessarily Samoan, but it was theirs, it was Na'vi!   She smiled to Kofi and Pxepxi who were trying to imitate  Tai and Taifa'.  Smiles were exchanged between the drummers as mesrewyu  the two dancers were tossing their flaming knives to each other. Leaping, twirling, deftly catching the blades.  Twirling with two hands while laying on their backs and sitting up again. Precision, power, elegance, mastery.  The dance ended precisely with the mesrewyu/mesamsiyu taking a fiercesome pose.  Cheers broke out among the Na'vi.
Ted leaned over to Mendelson and said, "Krekori! I want to meet them.  Can you introduce us?"
"Sure thing! Are you stronk enough?"
"Yeah.  I think so!"  Mendelson pulled him to his feet and the helped Mo'at up.  Together the three walked over to the dancers.

165)~Mo'at waded easily into the mob scene. Na'vi parted to the left and right as she approached. She took her seat on her favorite log, which was immediately vacated before her.  Mendelson found  his seat and one suitable for Txett, with a footstool/mounting step to climb up, to compensate for his human stature. The exertion of climbing to his perch made Ted catch his breath.  Mendelson figured that he would probably have to carry the yumon upstairs afterwards. Moa't motioned for Tai and Taifa' to come near. When Ateyo saw Txett sitting in a position of honor, she felt the gall rise in herself.  She stared at her toes and forced herself to remember the earlier conversation.  Pxepsi patted her mom's head consolingly, knowing from her tswin that her mother felt conflicted and confused. for a moment.  But Kofi  was the first one to address the tutetsyìp.
"Ma oeyä Taifa' sì Ma Oeyì Tai being for teach us Dance Fire Knife" he said enthusiastically.  Pxepxi had sensed Ateyo's cautiousness.  She wanted to hiss at the Stranger, but Ateyo was maintaining self discipline for both of them.  Ka'alani was also trying to encourage courtesy.   "Kaltxi sivi, Ma Pxepxi!"  Yet the child remained sullen.
Ted wanted to reach for the child to demonstrate his harmlessness, but thought better of it when he sensed Ateyo's cautiousness and protectiveness.  "It's alright," he demurred.  "Don't force the child to trust humans.  It's probably for her own good.  We can be a pretty nasty lot, as a whole."  He glanced nervously and very quickly at Ateyo. Ateyo nodded grimly at Ted, and looked to Mo'at for approval. A small smile was all that was needed for Ateyo to regain her composure. "I being Barrll Monkis! AySyaksyuk!"  Me'evi then started shouting SYAKSYUK SYAKSYUK in their high pitched voices.   Ateyo used that as a good excuse to run away from the tense situation, shouting SYAKSYUK SYAKSYUK in her high pitched voice. Together with Ka'alani and Kofi, they ran to join the Olo'Zongsteng Alor campfire.
Ted was goggle-eyed and had his right hand spread out protectively over his heart.  "Wow.  That was intense!  For a moment there, I thought she was going to bite my head off. And the little kid, too!"
"Ma Txett," observed Mo'at. "Considering what she has been through today, I am surprised that she even met your eyes.  I think she will be fine in a few days. Pelu ngaru tìmweypey a pivey vay ngeyä tsewtxa pay piak livu?" *
  "Ke tslolam"
"Do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear?" *
"Oh. OH! Yes.YES. SRANE. Time is all I have."
Major Tai interjected.  And you have Txe'lan Aean a Blue Heart."  When you are stronger and I don't have to get back to link, I'd like to pick your brain about what you remember of the RDA base."
Ted involuntarily shuddered. "I'll help if I don't roll up into a ball, like she did."  He indicated Ateyo with his chin.  "But you know, there is information that is pertinent to your muntxatu over there. I've been thinking about the murder of her mother, and I've linked it to the stories that one of the commanders tells. I think I know who killed her mother."
At that point they were interrupted by Patricia Fenwick, of the Blue Heart Gate Facilitee.
"Oel ngati kameie." She addressed Mo'at first.  "Tsun miväkxu hìkrr srak?"    'Major Tai, Colonel Schroeder, I don't know if you have heard yet, but we need to run down to Blue Heart Gate tomorrow"
"All of us? Why?"  asked Colonel Schroeder.
"No, eight of you specifically.  Our new wing can now accommodate another four avatars, making a total of eight. The techs were running the final tests on all the equipment when I left this morning." said Patty,
"May I ask who?" Colonel Schroeder was trying to play down his enthusiasm to maintain military decorum.
Patty smiled broadly, "Let's just say that I am glad that your cockpit has been altered."
She started counting on her fingertips.  "You and me, Alexandra and Kirby, Tobi and Tweety, and two from the Mipa tsray, the New Village, whose names I can't recall at the moment.  We'll have to ask Max.  I'm surprised the shuttle pilots didn't let the cat out of the bag!"
"We thought we would allow you the pleasure, but we were about to blow our carotids, just holding it in."  laughed Major Warwick, who had joined the conversation.
"Nìprrte', " My pleasure  remarked Patty, "But you all need to think about getting horizontal pretty soon. Isn't it about time for you all to turn into pumpkins?"
Tai glanced at her watch.  "Holy Moly! I forgot to check the time!  We'd all better lay down before we fall down!"  She glanced around at all her pilots in Blue Skin.  "Where's Lt. Wade?"  Immediately grins spread out over all their faces.  Daniels offered, "Have you checked the Remote Link Site?  Alexandra is on duty and I believe there are romantic inclinations where those two are concerned!"
Major Tai was pleased to hear this, because actually she had long believed that her two good friends would make a sweet couple.  "Well, we better make a lot of noise as we approach the RLS."
Patricia Fenwick, ever the literature buff, immediately wondered what Robert Louis Stevenson had to do with the Remote Link Site.  She laughed aloud when she realized her gaff.
Mendelson offered to tell Ateyo and Ka'alani and then said to Tai. "We will show you all where our Avatar Sleeping Lounge is situated for your safety and comfort.  Hurry along, "Kä!"

166)~Lt.Wade was seated outside on the Remote Link Site steps.  He was locked in a tender embrace with Alexandra.  His tall blue body was enfolded around her human size tokx and she was enjoying the shelter of his love.  She wished that she could share a deep kiss with him, but with her mask on, it was too awkward, if not impossible.  And they were expecting that Wade would soon be in his human tokx.   "Once I get Norm and Max back into their ayhumontokx, I'll come lie down next to you. I wish your yumon tokx was here instead of at the Hidden Base. Then we could enjoy ourselves 'round the clock!"
"Tse, txrray   we will have to coordinate our schedules like Taifa' and Ka'alani do.  We will get it figured out."  They had met only briefly at the Blue Heart Gate last week while waiting for Mo'at to return from her ISV adventure in the stars.
When the noisy crowd arrived outside the RLS, they found the two in a sweet embrace. Alexandra was blushing as Tai said, "Hate to break this up, kids, but it's pumpkin time."
"What is pumpkin, Ma Tai?" Asked Ateyo and Pxepxi simultaneously.
"Txan Rum ftu Rum Utral, rumat " , explained Tai.
Pxepxi considered this idea hilarious and her laughter caused the others to grin.  Alekxsi was going to offer to tell the Fairy Tale to the children and decided against it for lack of contextual parallels. A Prince at a Ball? Fairy God Mothers? Magic? GLASS SLIPPERS? She shook her head to herself and smiled at Lt.Wade. Her own Prince.
Mendelson will show you the "Avatar Sleeping Lounge."  she said mischievously.
Wade spotted Ateyo and couldn't resist telling her, "Oeru txoa livu fpi yerom ngya tsawke!"   Wade was the culprit who had eaten the fruit that Ateyo was using to represent Alpha Centauri in her mobile, last week. "Oe lu Pxrus Weit, sla oeru syaw Weit."    "Ngaru zerok?"
"Ngaru mowan fpi Ma Oeya Alekxsi." stated Pxepxi exuberantly.    It was a simple fact and she was pleased to announce the obvious. She had already claimed Aleksi as her own because she had slept in her arms a few nights ago. Alekxsi laughed in spite of herself. From the top step she was able to kiss the child and little Kofi as well. " Mefo kä hu Unkle Weit" ,I'll join you soon."  She watched the group follow Krekori and realized that she was now part of an extended family that included avatar pilots, and Na'vi children.  She was excited to think about the possibilities and wondered what the future might hold. She sighed to herself and hoped that Norm and Max wouldn't party too long.
Krekori led the pilots and their mipa aysoaia   through the interior of the colossal Kelutral to the newly developed Avatar Sleeping Lounge, which Mendelson displayed with a proud florish.
"TA-DA!!! We made dis place so's all the Avatars can sleep with dere partners and families and be safe while elsewhere,  in ayhumontokx."  The area was a huge mat woven like a trampoline between the branches of the monstrous tree.  There were a variety of sleeping mats and sleep leafs and hammocks draped around. The children were giggling and bouncing on the trampoline.  Ateyo found herself playing Mom.  If you kids break these vines we will ALL get hurt. KRR HIVAHAW KO! Za'u Ma 'Evi.   Lie down next to Ma Tai  with me."
"Srane Sa'nu!"  Pxepxi and Kofi lay down side by side.  Kofi lay down straight like a lance and Pxepxi lay down next to him.  He said. "Nìn, Ma Taifa'!  Oe lu uniltirantokx!"  Taifa' and Ka'alani laughed and stretched out next to the kids but Kofi immediately climbed on top of him.  He had a look of contentment as he quickly dozed of on his new dad's stomach. Pxepxi smiled to him from atop her Ikran Tai.
Mendelson was showing off the super duper extra long bed he had fashioned for Tai and Ateyo.  He had used many cushions from the lounge brought from the Mipa Tsray for this occasion, and had covered them with a woven cloth that reminded Tai of brocade. "Wow! Mendelson, this looks like a luxurious Turkish harem room.  Where's the hookah?"  The other avatars caught the reference to the exotic smoking machine with the many flexible tubes extended from it.  Ateyo laughed too, because THEY were and said, "Ma Tai what is HOOKAH?"
"PRRKXENTRRKRR!" daytime smoking pleasure.
Norm laughed loudest.  "Leave it you to use the most obscure word in the language!  Hivahaw niltsan."  The children had stopped bouncing, the avatars lay still, and the Penghrrap,  stopped glowing as the energy level dropped.  And didn't start glowing again until Alekxsi crept quietly up the steps to crawl next to the silent form of her Prince.  She smiled to herself to think of the reversal.  The Handsome Prince could awaken Sleeping Beauty with a kiss.  But all the kisses in the world wouldn't awaken Wade from his slumber. She drifted off to dream of floating in a canoe and being kissed by a glowing purple man named Wade.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

167)~"Major Tai, am I ever glad to see you!"  Tweety was a bit apprehensive when Tai came out of link.  "Were you OK this morning?"
Major TaiTaeAo wracked her brain.  "Got up as usual, flew to the Well of Souls. Had some interesting visions and experiences."
"Wait."  Tweety put up her hand.  "Visions!  That's it!  Visions! Alpha state.  I thought you were in deep sleep but you were having some other kind of experience. WHEW!  I am so glad that we didn't bring you out of link!  I thought that you might have been tired and returned to alpha. I'm glad I didn't bring you out of link! Were you at the Well of Souls then?  Tobi reminded me.  Boy, I was nervous all day because of that!"
"So what's next?  You guys are having all the fun. At least fill us in!" said Tobi.  A steaming bowl of ham and lima beans were placed in front of her.  As they came out of link, all the other pilots joined them at the break table.
"OK! THING ONE: You are now Aunty Kristy and Uncle Tobi.  Pxepxi adopted Ateyo as her Mom and me as her second Mom or her hunter, or her ikran.  I  never figured on this, but who knows?  We all might settle in and become family instead of rebel fighters.
Which brings me to THING TWO: We found an RDA escapee.  Or he found US at the Well of Souls.  Crawled in begging for mercy.  Eywa seems to approve of his intentions.  Right now, Mo'at and Mendelson are tending to him.  He has been in country for six months, without rations, or much gear.  I didn't have time to talk with him for very long. But he is willing to share what ever information he can about them, their whereabouts, their leadership.  He claims to have been a communications tech, not a soldier.
THING THREE: My Ateyo has been shaken up pretty bad because she finally found out who her mother was, and then she heard or saw her mother get murdered.  Her Mom was the sister to Eyxtan Ikxeru, so they are actually cousins.  She was about two years old when she was found, and raised with his family. Having little Pxepxi around has been a good distraction, but she is going to need a lot of support from time to time. So who knows how her first two years of life were spent.  Tweety, Ka'alani, she's taken a shine to both of you.  So do what you can to help her out please. (Major Tai actually looked choked-up at this.) The RDA deserter, Ted DeMaria, is pretty sure he knows who the perp is. We'll get him.
THING FOUR: Progress has been going on swimmingly at the Blue Heart Gate.  Four more gestation tanks have been installed, and that means a total of EIGHT Avatars are in suspension right now.  You two, of course, (Tobi and Tweety said HIGH FOUR and slapped each others' hands.) Colonel Schroeder, and Patricia Fenwick of  Blue Heart, Alexandra and Kirby and two other techs that have been here since the Battle for the Tree of Souls.
Now both of me are pretty wrung out and tired.  I need to hit the gym and hit the showers.  I'm sorry that I didn't learn about your Avatars until half an hour ago.  If there is time, we will pick you up tomorrow morning and get you switched out with Diana and Melvin for a few hours.  And we will get your Avatars out here. So be ready for anything tomorrow. Let's get some exercise in.  We can't be neglecting our human set of clothes.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

168)~ Kristy Castillo was grateful that all the human counterparts of the Avatars were now sleeping safely in their respective quarters.  She would sleep much better without worrying about them.  She was doubly assured to learn that all the Avatars were sleeping together in the "Lounge" at the Omatikaya Kelutral.  She knew that she could safely dose off because Tobi-san had rigged the monitors to alarms. The lights would flash brightly over the cot in her quarters if any anomalies occured in their EKGS and vitals.
She dreamt of being in blue skin, vaulting from branch to branch in the treetops. She was aware of all her sisters with her, Ateyo, Tai, Ka'alani and her brothers, tossing fruit to each other and laughing in the branches.  She woke up several times from this dream, each time with a smile on her face. Each time she returned to sleep, only to find the dream reoccuring or developing.  She finally woke up and got out of bed. Long before daybreak, she had a cup of coffee and awaited the time for revellie.  Today was the day that she would get her Blue Body.  Or tomorrow, at the very least. Her tummy did a flip-flop to experience the excitement of the idea.  Maybe Diana and Melvin would give her an extra day just to stretch out and play in her new skin.
Across the Pandoran landscape within the safety of the Remote Link Site, Alekxsi lay beside Wade and dreamt of paddling a canoe into a sparkling, bioluminescent lagoon. She was in blue skin, and had a nice overall purple "suntan". And so did her "Mate".  He helped her pull the canoe onto the sandy beach, and before long they were face to face on sand entangled in a sweet embrace.  He shone from within and without with a luminescent violet glow.  He seemed both diaphanous and solid from moment to moment. He was telling her "I've been waiting for you for so long, where have you been? Don't go away, don't disappear again!"  Breathlessly, she pulled away from his kiss and gazed into his golden eyes. Quietly she murmured, "I don't know your name, but I am certain that I am your Mate and I will always and have always loved you."   They smiled deeply into each others eyes and joined their meswin.  The sudden jolt of that experience brought Alekxsi out of her dream.  She gazed at the features of her silent prince, her Sleeping Beauty, in the moonlight, certain of their eternal bond.  She stroked his arm and sleeping face and lay back down, wondering at the surreal experience.  As she drifted off to sleep once more she recalled hearing Tai say, "I traveled across the Universe for six light years to find my own true love in a Blue Body!"  Then a line from the song Ateyo had created came to her. Tìyawnìl run fya'oti, ma yawnetu akalin. Tìyawnìl run fya'oti!
She smiled to herself,  knowing that she would soon be in Blue Skin.

169)~Tweety Castillo walked down the hallway just before daybreak, shouting RISE AND SHINE,  BABIES!  HOP TO IT!  She opened everyone's doors to let in the bright light from the corridor.  As she returned to the kitchen, she could hear the taps running in the shower room.  She scrambled up some powdered eggs mixed with Spxam and a fkxen that tasty and smelled sort of like garlic and sort of like onions.  "Hey, Tobi'san!  Come help me get breakfast going.  We need these bodies to be well nourished!"
"Ha!  The BLUE Bodies need nourishment.  You are going to constipate their humantokx by feeding them so much!  If it was me making the decisions, they would each get a protein shake and be done with it!"
"OH WHAT SMELLS SO GOOD? TWEETY!  YOU DOLL!"  Daniels came in towel drying his hair.
Lt. Bruce Wade was right behind him. "REWON LEFPOM! YUM, YOM! Can I have some toast?"
"Hey Lt. Wade, you know what is confusing?" said Daniels.  "There is a guy at Mipa Tsray called Wade, and it appears that he has mowan for the Tech named Alexandra. I though we were going to find her in your Blue Arms."
"Yeah I was there, I met him. (the lucky bloke)Nope, Not me. Still single." Wade laughed in relief.
"COFFEE, COFFEE!  Start me an IV drip," groused Tai.
"What are we going to drink when the coffee runs out?" wondered Janet Henderson.
Taifa' strode into the tiny kitchenette.  "Horrors of horrors!  We are going to have to get Ateyo to find us a likely substitute."
"Um, Major?" Tweety was anxious about the day's proceedings,
"Don't worry Tweet." Tai had thought about this in the shower,  "As soon as I get some food in my Avatar self, I'll bring Diana and Melvin back and pick-up you and Tobi-san! We should be back here in six hours or so.  That should get us back to the Omatikaya Clan by noon.  From there we head off to Blue Heart Gate."
Tweety could no longer contain herself.  "OH MY EYWA!  It's finally happening!  I'm so excited that I could, I could,"
"...spill your coffee!" said three people at once.  Tweety had indeed, knocked over her cup.  Tobi was quick with the dish sponges and towels.
"OK FOLKS!  Finish up and brush your teeth, we have another big day ahead of us!" Tai was in her usual commanding self, except that she was wearing a huge grin.  She was imagining a day when it would no longer be necessary to use a link.  But she had no idea how that was to be accomplished.
It wasn't soon enough for Tweety and Tobi to have each of the avatars in their respective link chambers.  The magnetrons whirled up to speed and chambers were sealed, but not before she and Tobi wished them each, "Eywa ngahu.  "

170)~ "T!ng Pom! * T!ng Pom* T!ng Pom!!!"  Tai awakened and immediately gave her cuckoo clock style awakening kiss to Ateyo.  Tai and Ateyo barely had time to enjoy their hug, when one sleepy child crawled in between them, TING POM * TING POM* TING POM!!!! The happy family woke up togeher giggling and soon Taifa' and Ka'alani were also awakened in similar fashion by BOTH Kofi and Pxepxi, who were already bouncing around on the "trampoline." No one was safe.  Mevi (two kids) had scrambled and bounced over to their uncle and auntie. "Rewon lefpom! Ma mevi!"
Tai took Ateyo in her arms and said, "I need to get Tobi and Tweety to switch places with Diana and Melvin, just for one day.  But this has to happen BEFORE we go to Blue Heart Gate.  Can I leave you here with the Taifa' and Ka'alani and the kids until noontime?  I'm just playing taxicab today. OK?"
"OK. What is Takxsi Kab?" said Ateyo between kisses.
"Not stay, I go and comeback. OK?"
"Tam Tam.  Za'u ma mevi! Zene yur menga mekey ko. Come You Two Kids, you must wash your faces."  Ateyo started to herd up the children, not stopping to realize that one now belonged to Ka'alani. "Ni'A frIp, KO!" Let's Grab a BITE!  They all trooped down to the area where all the cooking occured, greeting the various families and helping all the ayeveng get their faces washed.  Meykir'ite and Kxetsaw greeted them with "yerik burritos", as the yumons called the leftovers rolled into an edible wrapper. Diana and Melvin showed up on schedule laughing about giving Tobi-san and Tweety a one day reprieve from their duties. But all in all favorable to the idea of the one day sacrifice.  As Tai kissed the Da Cuz and Da Kids, at the helicopter door, she had a wild intrusion of an idea of a 1950's sterotypical family TV show like Father Knows Best, or Leave it to Beaver, where the Mom says to the Dad, HAVE A NICE DAY AT THE OFFICE DEAR! As the engines spooled up and the family crouched from the prop wash, Taifa' cupped his hands to his mouth and shouted, HAVE A NICE DAY AT THE OFFICE DEAR!  Tai couldn't actually hear what her Cuz had shouted, but she did see Ka'alani give him a good natured whack on his shoulder.
The trip to the Hidden Base was uneventful. The kids were disappointed not to get an immediate ride, MAKTO KO LEFNGAPA YAYO, RUTXE! Let's ride the metal bird, PLEASE!  They were mollified with the promise that they would all fly later, and went for a group swim instead. There was another round of Ikran Flyer/chicken fight  and Ateyo was floating around remembering her experience in the ISV Gestation Chamber transport room.  By noontime, everyone was refreshed and seated on the rocks to dry.   It seemed like Alekxsi had heard the phrase Alaksi, Alekxsi? a million times.    Timidly, Kirby came up to where she and Wade were sitting hand and hand.  "Excuse me.  Can I talk to you guys?Um, you two."  He was extremely shy and offered only a millisecond of eye contact. But he got his consent and stumbled on.  I joined on with RDA because it gave me a great chance to play with electronics.  And I'm not too good with social stuff, and I noticed that you two are in a nice relationship.  So, I want more time to play with the electronics equipment and I'd be willing to spell for Alekxsi any time you two need to be, um, together."
"Oh that is so kind of you, Kirby!  But you know, once you try on your new skin, you might feel a lot differently. Let me know at the end of the day, how you feel,  OK? You just might get a new chance at a social life."
Norm joined in on the conversation. Yeah, having an Avatar gives you a whole new lease on life. with a new god-like body! Did you hear, Mary is getting her uniltirantokx today!"  The human woman snuggled close to the lanky blue tutan.  "It has been a long time coming.  These past two weeks have been so awkward between us."  Mary found herself blushing at her understatement.  But Norm only pulled her in tighter.
"OK! I can monitor you two also!"
"Kirby! are you trying to evade the possibility of being blue?" asked Alekxsi.
"What would I do? Being Blue isn't going to automatically make me more socially skilled!"
"Maybe it will, Kirby.  This is the most you have ever said to any of us,  And you are only THINKING about being Blue." Wade grinned at the awkward young man. "Just ask Eywa to help you replace all your fears with joy and confidence and then assume it will be so!  Eywa has already looked into your Blue Heart.  You will be fine! Trust herself and trust yourself." Wade gave Kirby a good natured clap on the shoulder.  "Come on, I hear the rotor blades.  Chopper will be here soon."
Tobi and Tweety had barely hopped out the door when they were nearly tackled first by Ateyo and the ayevi.  "Tweety! I missing of you! You be getting Blue Skin today. ALL bodies now more tall from ATEYO! ALAKSI ALEKXSI?!? MAKTO KO!

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

 171)  Everyone who was going on this trip had gathered in the clearing, eagerly awaiting to climb aboard.  They were all disappointed to hear the rotor blades slowing down to a stop.  A very tall Avatar unfolded herself from the cockpit with a simple request; "Are there any leftovers to eat? I'm starving!"  Ever the people pleaser, Kirby jumped to his feet with an offer to get something, and unfortunately, launched himself headlong into Norm.  The two of them ended up in an ungodly heap on the ground. As Mary helped him regain his feet, she gave him a kiss and giggled, "God-like maybe, but you are still a loveable klutz!"  She gave Kirby an encouraging squeeze and said, "You might be incurably shy, but you will be incurably shy in a gorgeous Blue Body! You'll be fine!"
At about the same time, Meykir'ite handed a few "yerik burritos" to Tai.  "Mother said to give you these because you are probably still hungry!"  And Kxetsaw handed her a few skewers of roasted teylu, "And she said I should insure that you get these!"  Ateyo's eyes glittered in anticipation, but as she reached for the skewers, Tai snatched them from her grasp and laughingly said, "DENIED!"  She gave up only one to Ateyo and one to Pxepxi.  As they were all taking their seats in the choppers, Tobi leaned over to Kxetsaw and asked the question that had been puzzling him.  "I hope I'm not being rude, but I thought that Kxetsaw meant TAIL?"
Kxetsaw was laughing. "Oe lu Tokrry, slä oeru syaw  Kxetsaw!  Kxetse means Tail, Asawl means big. I am called BIG TAIL since I child being."
Tobi pointedly looked at Tokrry's tail. "It looks like a regular sized tail to me."
"It is!  But I was alla time knocking things over hu oeyä kxetse, so ayevi calling me Kxetsaw!"
Kirby was pleased not to be the only awkward person in the group.  "Well I've got clumsy feet, maybe I should be called Hanusawl!"
"Don't feel bad, Kirby", said Norm, "You should have seen Jake learning to ride Pa'li!"
As the chopper lifted off the ground, everyone laughed and shouted "MAKTO KO!"
Within an hour, the chopper was setting down at the Blue Heart Gate with many happy and expectant blue hearts.

172)~Although, eight people would have fit easily in one chopper, the additional compliment of spouses and sponsors made it quite crowded.  Colonel Schroeder flew the empty "Dragon", knowing that he would be transporting recumbent Avatars to the Omatikaya and Zongsteng Alor clans later in the day.  He was surprised that everyone had crowded into Major Tai's chopper.  "Must be the herding instinct" he though to himself.  Patricia Fenwick rode together with him in the "convertible" cockpit of the DRAGON.  I am so excited that we have eight gestation chambers set up, now!  Soon we will have the entire human population of Pandora, provided with their own Avatars!"
Colonel Schroeder had been trying to imagine his features in Blue.  He wondered if he would have the distinctive brow structure of the Na'vi, or his own snub nose. So he asked Patricia how much "sculpting" of the DNA wa practiced.  Patricia was surprised to be asked such a technical question from the Colonel.
"I'll give the best explanation that I can.  The most important features are the internal organs and skeletal structure.  Those aspects were first developed in our labs from the outset, and I am including RDA research in this statement  The super computer keeps track of the sequencing and alerts for anomalies.  The sequencing for the ayswin, the braids, is idiomatic to the Na'vi DNA, for example. So the computer assigns that as dominant, the structure of the Na'vi face is also idiomatic for size of the eyes and the breathing passage at the bridge of the nose.  That was once left to chance DNA recombination, but was later assigned dominance because that is how the Na'vi filter the high carbon dioxide out of the air. Why do you ask? Wondering at your appearance?"
Schroeders' only response was a stupid grin.
Patricia's response was playful.  She responded in a childlike sing-song voice. " I already KNOW-O! I've already SEEN you!"
"Oh that's not fair! You've seen me naked!"
"And you're not bad looking in Blue!"  What was she THINKING!  How could she have let that slip?!
"And YOU are absolutely charming in red!"  It had occurred to the Colonel that he was finding himself attracted to Patricia. She caught the twinkle in his eye, which only made them both blush and laugh together. But quickly she changed the subject.
"I would like to study the Major's muntxate, her DNA anyways."
"Who? Ateyo?"  The Colonel allowed the conversation to shift, knowing that it would be explored later.
"Yes! Ateyo is living proof that Na'vi DNA and Human DNA are naturally recombinant.  The species might be even more compatible than we originally thought.  Do you know the odds of combining two different species, without lab assistance, truly are?"
"Doesn't it happen all the time?" asked Schroeder.
"Among species, yes, but not across species.  Ateyo is something special." responded Patricia.
"Could you trace her human genes? Find out who her human father was?" he asked.
"That's what I'm talking about.  Her father was an exploratory geologist for the RDA.  I know where to find his genetic records.  He's in the earliest databank." Patricia's lips hardened into a resolute line. "I'd like to find that son-of-a-b**** and use his testicles for golf balls." Schroeder could admire that in a woman.
"Make the punishment fit the crime?!" he said flatly.
Patricia glanced at the pilot from the corner of her eye. "No.  If Ateyo's vision was correct, that bastard murdered her mother by cutting off her tswin and letting her bleed out.  I saw that too at the Tree of Souls. If the punishment were to fit the crime, HE should have something removed and let him die the same way."  Patricia watched for Schroeder's reaction, but he was staring out the windscreen of the chopper.  "That new guy, says that there is an RDA commander hiding somewhere that was bragging about his Na'vi sex slave and her little brat. I say we find him and turn him over to Ateyo."
Patricia couldn't help but to momentarily grimace.  "It's hard to imagine Sweet Ateyo being vicious."
"It's hard to think of Sweet Patricia being vicious, too.  But a while ago you were talking about using testicles as golf balls.  Tell me that's not vicious!"  Patricia was grinning at Schroeder, but it wasn't easy to decipher what was going on in that lovely brain.
There was radio traffic."Blue Heart Gate in sight.  Five clicks at your Eleven."
"Copy that. I have visual. Out."
"Patrica, I could go on with this conversation for a long while, but right now, I've got to bring in this bird."
"Pxatxi, call me Pxatxi," she said spitting out the P sound as in Na'vi.
He gave her a sidelong glance. "Hans. Oeru syaw Hans." he said with a smile.
"Copy that, Hansel!" She gave him a devilish grin that he couldn't help but love.
On the ground, she accosted Major Tai and drew her away from Ateyo as they were walking into the New Earth/Blue Heart Facility.  Pxatxi told her of her plan to check Ateyo's genetics to learn the identity of Ateyo's male progenitor.
"Don't let anyone know of the results except me and Schroeder.  That way we can tell if Ted has fingered the right guy and figure out if his word can be trusted."
"Copy that.  Do you want me to erase the file?"
"Um, NO! Can you erase his name ad use a code name? Use Joe Fosdick."
"I'm not sure why you want to protect his name, but I'll make sure there aren't any other Fosdicks on the record." agree Patricia.   Ateyo, Tweety and Alekxsi had stopped and were waiting for Tai to catch up with them.  "Pxefo, you three, are practically running!  A little excited, are we?" asked patti.
Alekxsi told her, "Well the rest of us haven't been watching ourselves in VITRO!"
"Mi vitro, slä ke vitral!"  In glass, but without a spirit!  "SRANE! I'm excited too!"
They were all admitted to the "recovery" rooms where the eight Avatars were lain on gurneys awaiting "animation."  Schroeder was grateful for at least a meager hospital gown over his nakedness.
Patricia Fenwick and Colonel Schroeder were side by side, as were Tobi and Tweety. Norm's Mary was next to Alexi and Kirby. And the eighth Avatar was none other than Alekxsi's Wade. The eight Avatar drivers were escorted to their link terminals.  Each couple kissed each other and said their Hayalovays.  Norm slapped Kirby on his shoulder and said to him in a confidential tone, "You are going to LOVE this!"
"Tai gave a silly salute and said, "We will see you all by the picnic tables." Within fifteen minutes, the avatars were trotting outdoors to test run their new blue legs.
Tweety was skipping around saying, "Look at me, I'm tall and thin!  Instant weight loss!" Norm and Mary were locked in an embrace as were Alekxsi and Wade.  Tobi and Kirby, were the two singles of the bunch, but soon they were joking about new Personal ads where SBM meant Single Blue Male instead of Single Black Male. Kirby was saying, "I don't know how I got these toned pecs and a six pack by floating around in a pickle jar, but I sure am liking this!"
Hans and Pxatxi were deep in conversation.  It hardly registered that a sonic boom was heard in the distance, or that all eyes had shifted towards the landing field nearby.  But as the shuttle flew in and positioned itself, the engine blast provided a severe updraft that left them all scrambling to modestly cover themselves.  Norm was laughing at Colonel Schroeder, "Hans! Your cover's been blown!"  Hans didn't realize that his natural reaction towards modesty made an oddly similar pose to that of Marilyn Monroe, of 'Rrta cinematic history. So much for military decorum!

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

 173)  Pxepxi stated in a loud voice, "Ma Colonel have mowan for Ma Pxatxi!"
Tweety responded with an embarrassed grin, "Ma Pxepxi, you are tsufätu of understatement!"  Ateyo tried to think of something snappy to say relating to understatement and undergarment but she was too busying trying to admonish Pxepxi for stating the obvious.  Wade was grateful that Alekxsi was holding him close, for obvious reasons. "Couldn't we be provided with adequate attire, before they let us prance around in public?!"
"Now where's the fun in that?" said Major Tai. "Colonel, you can be in the reviewing stand for the next batch!"
"OhHO!  I'm ONTO you!  That was a SET UP!"
"Oh HELL YAH!" laughed the Major.  "We timed it with the shuttle pilots and Ma Pxatxi!"
Hans pulled her in for another embrace but said to Pxatxi in a playfully wicked whisper,  "You KNOW what they say about PAYBACKS!"
"I say ve move avay from the landing field!"  Mendelson offered.
Patti, with her electronic clipboard in hand, motioned toward the Avatar Bunkhouse.  "I'll meet you all in there once we get this next shipment off=loaded."  The shuttle's loading ramp was being lowered.  From within, one could glimpse more gestation capsules in their respective ground transport units, and four men in AMP suits were setting up the anti-grav mobilization pads.   Kofi was excited to see the lefngapa tutan,  and was begging to drive one.
Tobi-San scooped him up in his arms and said, "I'll be your lefngapa tutan!" They all walked to the Avatar bunkhouse with Tobi walking stiff-legged and singing an obscure 'Rrta song: DOMO ARIGATO MISTER ROBOTO.  Kofi was giggling and trying to maintain his balance on Tobi's shoulders.  Pxepxi did not want to miss out on the fun, so Auntie Tweety offered to be lefngapa tutan for Pxepxi.
"Ma Tobi si Ma Tweety."  said Mo'at sternly.  The two froze in their tracks, immediately aware that the 'Dragon Lady' was about to admonish them.  "I have something that I need to reveal to all of you, but we will need to explore this quietly.  "Ma Pxepxi si Ma Kofi."  The children were in awestruck wonder to be addressed by the Great Mo'at.  "Ayoengä new mefo alu fnu tengrr plltxe. Srak?
"Srane Ma Mo'at.  Moel omum ngati.."
Ateyo was pleased that her mevi had remembered their manners. She asked Mo'at if she thought the mevi could join them if they remained quiet.  Mo'at addressed Ateyo gravely.
"We will be exploring family relations. If we were at the Well of Souls, or even the Tree of Voices, you might not be able to shelter them from this pain. We need not speak directly of your mother. You and I should explore that later Ma Ateyo.  But here, we will not be in tsaheylu with the Great Mother. But there is something I must share. With all of you."

174) The bunkhouse was dim. Mo'at expressed disappointment at the linear arrangment of the beds.  Tobi, Tweety and Alekxsi shrugged at each other and quickly shoved all the beds to the edges of the large room. Soon the mattresses were arranged on the floor in a rough circle.
"Fiu lu aoengya fitsenge." said Tweety, and she used the word in a collective sense.  "We should use it how we need it." She was speaking to her own orderly mind, actually.  It was uncommon for her to leave things out of place.  It was her strength as a technician.
They were all seated in a circle. The couples nestled one in front of the other, and the children nestled in front of their parents. Alekxsi had the impression of Russian nesting dolls, each enfolded within the other. A collective sigh went up as everyone relaxed.
Mo'at waited for them to settle down. "Oel ayoengati Kameie I wanted to share with you all a wonderful revelation that Eywa has placed upon my heart.  A vision was shared with me at the Well of Souls.  It was given to me as a gift from Eywa when I asked myself why I felt so close to Ma Alekxsi, since the first time I met her in yumontokx. It seems that Eywa has revealed to me an image of our direct connections. Each person is connected to another with many threads of light. These threads are the relations to our aypizayu and to each other.  At first I understood this to be true of only the Na'vi.  I could see many generations of oeya aypizayu,  I could follow those threads of light to my grandfather's grandfather, and beyond. I could see my thread of light connecting with Neytiri from me and Ma Ekutan.  I could even see Ma Sylvanin. and next to her, Ma Alexksi.  I asked Eywa how this could be. But slowly, I have come to realize how closely we are related.
"Ma Pxatxi has explained to me how an uniltìrantokx is grown in "Glass" rather than a mother's womb.  At first I was horrified by this idea and practice.  But having met JakeSully and Toktor Grace, I have come to respect and admire ayuniltìrantokx as one of the people. Not that they are LIKE Na'vi, but are TRULY Na'vi by half their lineage.  Long before Jake Sully arrived, Toktor Grace ran her numsteng, em, school.  It did not occur to me why each of the aynumeyu  and we, aysa'sem  were asked to give a swab from inside their mouths", she glanced at Pxatxi to verify the word, swab.  "This was to collect our secret code that Eywa has created for each of us.  From this we have learned that ayuniltìrantokx were formed by combination of yumon and Na'vi codes. In this way, I have learned that Ma Mendelson was created from Ma Ekutan. I have been rewarded in this manner having my muntxatu also as my former muntxatu's half  brother!  And Ma Oeyä Sylvanin lives on as half Ma Oeyä Alekxsi! Alekxsi is as much oeyä 'ite as Neytiri or Slyvanin.
"Eywa has created this vision for me, a web made of threads of light.  I can open this web anytime I wish to explore it.  I am able to trace the Na'vi lineage of all ayuniltìrantokx, and I wish to do that with all of the clan members who have been drawn to me.  In this way we can explore HOW they are Na'vi and help them each learn their families and aypizayu .  I have learned that my mother's mother was a woman from the Eastern Sea Clan.  I had often wondered why Ma Oeyä Sylvanin had Oma Ta'leng.  And now I know why Ma Oeyä 'Ite Alekxsi also has Oma Ta'leng.  When I was in the tanhi-sìp  I saw many, many Oma'aytokx.  Know I am curious to know how many of my children are yet to come!
"I wondered also why I recognized Alekxsi, even when she was in her yumon Tokx.  Sylvanin only laughed.  And I understood that it was Eywa's will. Only.  Eywa has a plan that she has revealed only a corner to me. When I was on the tanhi-sip, I could see the vastness of Eywa's creation, but I was told that I was seeing only one corner of her Creation. I stand in awe of her all-knowing and her plan. I look forward to exploring with each of you how we are related and fit in her plan. And how you each are truly one of the people.

175)~Tears of happiness were smudged on their faces as Neytiri and Alekxsi embraced like the long lost sisters that they truly were.  Everyone looked upon each other with wonderment and curiosity.  Eyktan Ikxeru looked at Major Tai with a new look of expectation.  Tweety and Ateyo leaned towards each other so eagerly, that they nearly bopped heads, causing Pxepxi to quickly suppress a giggle.  Tweety spoke first. "Ma Mo'at! I am anxious to know more about my Na'vi heritage, also.  But when will you show us more?"
Mo'at smiled and got to her feet.  "If I recall, there is a Tree of Voices near the encampment that we were at a time ago. We could walk there in an hour."
"Or less, Ma Mo'at.  We can fly to the edge of Blue Heart Gate in the choppers." suggested Tai.
"Kosmana Samok, Ma Tai!" good suggestion Tai! Blurted Eyktan Ikxeru.  Without further discussion, the group got to their feet.  Alekxsi started handing out clothing properly suited to people with tails.  "Wait!" said Hans incredulously. "These were here the whole time?"  Everyone was too giddy with excitement to worry much about timing.  The new Avatars quickly donned their new apparrel.  Tweety was pleased to see a plethora of shower clogs.  Wade was giving Alexandra an accusatory grin.  She shrugged her shoulders.  "No one asked about clothing at first.  We were just happy to be dressed in Blue and Purple Skins!"  The group left the Bunkhouse and quickly walked across the compound to where the choppers were sitting. They didn't need an invitation to find their seats.  Needless to say, there were more tall blue bodies in the Colonel's Bird this time.
Pxepxi was allowed the co-pilot seat.  She dutifully held her kxetse with two hands, though the tip of it was twitching with excitement.  Kofi was promised the honor seat for the return fight, but he queued up with his little Cuz, Pxepxi, so that he too could enjoy the experience.  Mevi  the two kids were mesmerized by all the buttons and switches used in the start up procedure.  When Ateyo placed Pxepxi's hand upon Tai's, Pxepxi proudly announced, Ma Tail kerar tìtswusayon oeru! And yet when they achieved  low hover and transitioned to forward flight, she almost forgot to shout MAKTO KO.  The flight was over in three minutes, but it moved many people at once to within a ten minute walk of the Tree of Voices. Hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder they walked together along the soft mossy path.  The further from the clearing they walked, the more hushed they became, and the more intense became the syuratan,  of the jungle.   The Tree of Voices beckoned to them with it's softly glowing tendrils.  The new Avatars imitated the more seasoned ones and allowed their ayswin to interconnect with the tendrils of the Tree.  It was almost amusing to see the looks of shock and wonder upon their faces.  It was a good thing that Colonel Schroeder was flanked by Tai and Taifa' because he literally went weak at the knees.  The two steadied the Older Warrior and nodded at him.  He regained his composure and returned their nod reassuringly.
They each sat upon the moss and allowed themselves to relax. Mo'at didn't  need to chant aloud, but her voice was echoed with those of her mother and her mother's mother, and the aysahik of many clans from all times before.  Oe'ia Eywa ~ Oe'ia Eywa ~ Oe'ia Eywa~  Oe'ia Eywa ~ Oe'ia Eywa ~ Oe'ia Eywa~

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

176)~ It almost didn't surprise her when she began to see ribbons of light dancing around her. She understood that she was SEEING the sunlight dancing through the water of a shallow lagoon.  She enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her back and the play of sunlight on the sandy bottom below her.  She was unconcerned about breathing underwater. Which was good because a friendly sea creature approached and offered its tswin toward her.  She committed tsayhelu and bonded with the creature which swam her down deeper and deeper to serene buoyancy.  But even at these depths she was seeing ribbons of light. But now they were forming a three dimensional spiderweb.  Her Mother's mother welcomed her with a gentle embrace. Everyone in Eastern Sea clan and related to this clan were revealed to her.  Joyfully, she beckoned to Alekxsi and Wade and presented them to their aypizayu.  In the depths, they all radiated purple light. Mo'at was reminded of floating in the starship, gazing upon the purplish hue of the blue bodies.  She had only been dimly aware of her Eastern Sea clan heritage, before this time. She beckoned to Ka'alani and Taifa' and Tai. And this new one named Tobi-San.  All had Oma' Tirea, purple spirits. Tweety and Ateyo had some purple.  But Tai was brightly attached to Ikxeru.  Who wasn't purple at all. But they were related strongly! She noticed other strong glimmers among those with her under the Tree of Voices.  She turned her attention to Ateyo and watched the glowing connections between her and Eyktan Ikxeru and Tsahik Meykir.  The threads of light were bright between Eyktan Ikxeru and Ateyo.  She could sense the blunt loss of Ikxeru's aunt, who was Ateyo's mother. She could sense the groping energy of Ikxeru and Ateyo, searching for a way to reconnect. She mourned the disconnectedness.  That would be the worse thing, not to connect with the people.  Somehow she knew that these ribbons of light were the solution.
As she gazed at Ateyo in her mind's eye, she saw that the ribbons of light were especially strong between the one called Tweety and Ateyo.  These two were connected like Sylvanin and Alekxsi and Neytiri! Tweety was SISTER to Ateyo.  She smiled to herself, thinking of the closeness these two had exhibited towards each other, and almost laughed to think of them bumping heads a few minutes ago. She knew that Tweety would have to return to her duties tomorrow morning and mourned the fact that these two would have to wait to explore their sisterhood until later.  She trusted Ateyo to find a creative solution.  She noticed all the orphans sitting with their respective new sa'sem .  The ribbons of light bound them closely together.  Could it be that Ewya devised  a plan to place the orphans with people to whom they were truly related ?!  Her heart filled with contentment and joy. Did Eywa intend for yumons and Na'vi to meet?  How was it possible that these distant beings could share the secret codes of their aytokä and their innermost beings, and communicate without ayswin? She wondered if the Na'vi would soon be erased by the introduction of yumon blood and yumon codes.  BUT the Avatars, could not produce children, apparently.  Jake and Neytiri had yet to produce a grandchild for her.  Yet there was Ateyo, child of a yumon tutan and a Na'vi sa'nok. What would become of the Na'vi?  Was this Eywa's will? What impact would one hundred yumons have upon the race of Na'vi? Upon the Eywa 'Eveng?
She seemed to have more questions than answers, but she sensed the the tugging of the sea creature.  Gradually, she was returned  to the surface of consciousness, where she met the other Na'vi and ayuniltìrantok all gasping for air. Suddenly, there were exclamations of joy as the people under the Tree all reached for each others' embrace.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

177)~"Apparently, you were all able to experience the interconnectedness that Eywa has revealed. Perhaps it is now more apparent why you have felt drawn to particular Na'vi, and also why particular Na'vi have been drawn to particular ayhumon.  And it seems that all the ayorfan among us have been drawn to those ayuniltìrantokx who are related to their birth parents.  It is a mystery how you were drawn to each other BEFORE you each have been presented with ayuniltìrantokx. Only Ewya knows these things.  Kxawm,  we must regard all ayhumon as part of the People, but, like JakeSully, like a baby, who must be taught the ways as any baby would."
The atmosphere under the Tree of Voices was again soothing.  Hona ayeveng  had drifted off to sleep.  Perhaps because each parent was stroking their heads and helping them relax.  Mo'at was watching them sleep, thinking of children.   "Ma Ateyo." she said quietly. "At some point in their lives, each of the ayorfan that you have raised, and all of the ayorfan at the Omatikaya Kelutral, will wish to know about their parents."
"Well, they SHOULD know. I suppose it is up to Eywa to choose when to reveal the details of their deaths.  But they should know about their lives.  Ayevihu set  aysa'sam.   They have many who will help them face their terrors, but I am always Ateyo for Ma Oeyä Ayevi. They are ma oeyä ayprrnen, but so are ma oeyä ayuniltìrantokx. Even the ayorfans know more than they. Slä, what if we find more RDA? if the RDA ayhumon also have ayuniltìrantokx, how can we be certain that they are related to us?  I don't wish to be related to kawnga sawtute."  Mo'at knew that this had been troubling Ateyo. She also noticed the sympathetic hands of Tweety, Ka'alani, Alekxsi, reaching out to her as Tai held her protectively against the perceived intrusion. Tai was quick to point out; "Tuteo some people, have BLACK hearts, which cannot KAME, cannot be taught to SEE.  Their ayuniltìrantokx would also have black hearts. There were two who had kidnapped mevi from a clan once before.  But we cannot judge who's heart may change. Only Ewya can see who could grow to have Blue Hearts."  She was, of course, thinking of their recent encounter with Ted Demaria.
"Slä, what if that tutan had raped your mother and left her to die?  THAT person would not deserve to live!"  Ateyo was pressing her point and was not censoring her deepest and darkest desires.  She was grateful that all the children were sleeping soundly. Tai quickly answered from a warriors' perspective.  "Oeyä muntxate, that person, who could derive pleasure from killing and raping, would never learn to see. That person should never be allowed to be one of the People."
"Tse, you KNOW the will of Eywa?  You can see into the future, Ma Tai?" asked Mo'at.
"Ma Ateyo," interjected Alekxsi, "if you seek revenge, are you not also experiencing the pleasure of someone's death?"
"It is sad, very sad only, that we must even consider these questions. I agree that evil must not be tolerated among us." Stated Neytiri in her sweet melodic voice. "Slä. But. I agree also that it is dangerous to assume that we know who deserves to die. We don't know if this person's mind has been tortured by his evil actions. Or if he would beg forgiveness for the lives he has destroyed."
Ateyo shuddered to even consider extending mercy to the one responsible for the rape and murder of her mother. Would that not be tacitly condoning that evil act? Would he then not rape and murder someone else in the future?  She forced herself to listen to this conversation.
"Ma tsahik Mo'at? If Eywa were to show us that this person had an  kawnga txe'lan, would it be wrong for me to to still that heart and feel no remorse?"
Mo'at replied, "Ma Tai, it is ALWAYS very sad to take a life.  Even if that person had the darkest of hearts, it might have been turned to beauty in other circumstances.  His choices towards evil are very sad. IF Eywa deems that he must be removed, or killed, that would be sad."
Jake interjected, "How will we protect our families if we allow evil to reside among us? Ted heard the man boasting about his actions, long after the fact. In our mercy, would we be allowing him to harm someone else?"
The clan leader of the Dark Lake People was truly perplexed, as were the other ayeyktan sì aysahik. "These things are puzzling to us.  We cannot even conceive of harming another Na'vi.  How is it possible for ayhumon to do such evil things to another?" He voiced his original fears.  But if it were not for the friendships of Ma Tai sì Ma Jake, it would be easy to dismiss the entire race of ayhumon."
Mo'at spoke in her calm authoritative voice; "It is easy for us all to agree, that not all ayhumon are evil."  She looked pointedly at Jake. I think it is especially important, if and when we find this man, to bring him before Eywa and allow her to decide for us.  But there was a time, that we all were convinced that JakeSully had betrayed us." Mo'at was reminded of the time that he and Toktor Grace were lashed to stakes to be executed, just minutes before the Omatikaya Kelutral was attacked.  "Only Eywa knew what was truly in his heart, but he had said enough to make me think that he was one of the People. He had made the statement, THESE WORDS ARE LIKE STONES IN MY HEART... He never had a chance to tell us what he meant, but it was enough for me to have heard him say this."
JakeSully pointed out, "I realized at that point that I was being used as an RDA pawn for the destruction of the Na'vi and of Ewya 'Eveng Pandora.  But I wasn't taking delight in the destructive plans, nor was I raping and murdering anyone for my own pleasure."
"Ma Tsahik Mo'at.  With your permission, I will address ma oeyä samsiyu."  Tai waited for her nod before she contiued. "I think that all of us, are wrestling with a difficult idea about what to do if and when we confront RDA who have a very violent past.  I am so very happy to have been accepted and adopted by the People, the Na'vi, who can discuss such a question peacefully and with reason.  It is my belief, as a warrior, that I do not have the ability to read another's heart. And definitely not to SEE in the future.  I can only state, that it is my belief that it is nìNavi to trust Eywa completely to read the hearts and determine the futures of these people.  I would ask the aysamsiyu to ask peaceful surrender of any RDA, so that we can bring them before Eywa." She got determined nods from all her pilots and from Colonel Schroeder, even Pxatxi.  She met the eyes of each eyktan and tsahik, and then from Mo'at.
"It is well for me to hear these things from you, Ma Tsamsiyu Tai.  You have proven yourself worthy among the People in the words you have spoken and in your dealings with Ma Txetx Txemaria. BUT.  I need to hear from Ma Ateyo, whether she is willing to sit quietly and allow Eywa to deal with this person?"
Ateyo felt all eyes turn upon her.  She felt the heat of anger, of rage course in her veins.  She would love nothing more than to disarm the rapist, and watch him bleed out.  She wasn't happy about these ugly feelings inside her. But they were hers. She realized that she hadn't answered Mo'at.  Slowly she nodded, before she could find her tongue.  "Srane, Ma Mo'at.  I will wait to hear the word of Eywa, and I will abide by her decision."  She felt somehow that she was being robbed of revenge, but more importantly, she felt relieved to think that Ewya would remove the necessity for her to bloody her own hands. Tai  felt a sigh of relief envelope the small frame that she held between her knees.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

178)~  Mo'ats voice was both stern and soothing.  "Ma Ateyo, I am pleased to hear you make this decision.  I know it is difficult for you to even think about this, but you may need this experience to help you deal with the sorrows of ayoengä ayorfan  in the future."
"But we came here today to introduce the mipa ayuniltìrantokx to the people.  And they have been inducted  from the outset, into the successful resolution of a terrible situation that we will ALL face in the future.  If I am not mistaken, nìwotx aytsahik sì ayeyktan have brought kava with them for this event.  Ma Alekxsi, rutxe kllkxem! Alekxsi's legs had nearly fallen asleep, but she stood and faced Mo'at.  Mo'at glanced her up and down and stalked quietly around her as she had once done for Ma Jake.
"Ngenga lu tupe,"   Alekxsi was taken aback.  She realized that Mo'at had chosen her first to be formally incorporated into the Omatikaya clan this day.
"Oe lu Alexandra. Slä oeru syaw Alekxsi!" she was pleased to adopt the nickname that Mo'at herself had given her.
"Why are you here?"
"I am here because I have found my way home."  It was the truest answer she could give.  It must have pleased Mo'at because out came her little ceremonial knife.  The prick of the knife was immediate but temporary. She was about to say that she would willingly bleed for the people, but Mo'at was carefully licking the tiny blade.
"Hm,"  said Mo'at with a sly smile, "tastes familiar!"
Wade jumped to his feet to embrace Alekxsi, but immediately, Mo'at took him by his arm, "What are you called? and Why are you here?"
"Oe lu Weit. And I am here to serve the People. OW!" Mo'at was enjoying this a little too much. "I was going to ask Neytiri to initiate me."  With a wicked grin Neytiri displayed her none-too-small knife, and Jake intervened.  "Wait, Weit! Be careful what you ask for!"
Nìwotx aysahik  were drawing their mipa ayuniltìrantokx new DreamWalkerBodies to their feet and drawing their ceremonial daggers.  Tweety was trying to examine her puncture wound. "Boy Tsahik Meykir really must think I need tenderizing. I mean, Look at this SIS!".  Ateyo dabbed at the little pinprick and made a big scene of slurping it up.  "MMM! Tastes just like me!"  Tai and Tweety laughed in relief to see that Ateyo had regained her sense of humor.  Once everyone had been initiated, the sleepy children were gathered up and the aysahik picked up the jugs of Kava that they had left at the edge of the Tree of Voices. Together they all walked to the encampment where they had gathered last week. It was nearly twilight and the question was whether to mount a hunting party now or fly back to the Omatikaya Kelutral. Neytiri warned that the feast was being prepared all day awaiting their arrival.
While they were seated around the campfire, sipping their Kava, Eyktan Ikxeru pointed out that their reserves were falling low.  "Ma Ateyo, we should teach the New Ones to climb and get the fruits needed to brew up another batch of Kava.  And you should teach how it is made so that we may always celebrate with Kava!"  This suggestion was applauded all around and promised for the future.
It was then that Pxatxi reminded them that eight new avatars would be decanted in two days.  She produced her electronic clipboard from her woven bag and read off the names.  The two Filipino couples were assigned to the Eastern Sea Clan and the other four were names that shy Kirby recognized, including the name of a girl whom he was certain would not recognize him.  These four were assigned to the Pa'li clan that Txim was assigned to.  It was decided that the Eastern Sea clan leaders and Txìkxìtxìpxen clan would be invited here in four days time with their ayhumon and sponsors, and anyone else who wished to attend their initiation.
"Blood letting and Kava!  Who could resist such an occasion!" grinned Tai.  "Let's SKY UP people."  Together they walked to the chopper.  Well, not Kofi.  HE RAN to the chopper!  "I get to fly up front with Ma Tai!"

179) "Fyape fko syaw ngar?"   Tsahik Meykir grasped Colonel Schroeder by the elbow.  In his yumontokx he was broad shouldered and stocky, but as a Na'vi he was taller even than Tai.
"Tsahik Meykir! You know me!  I'm Colonel Schroeder, you know, Schroeder's Raider's.  Slä syaw Hans."
"Metsyokä fu aysyokä?" Meykir knew enough English to play word games.
Pxatxi joined in the game, "Oh Many Hands! Let me assure you Ma Tsahik!" The Kava was making everone a little silly.
"Nga za'u ftu peseng?"
"Rrta! Ngaru fwa omum!"  Hans pretended not to know that he was being initiated.
"Pefnel olo'?"
"I'm at the Hidden Base. So I belong to your clan. Olo' Zongsteng Alor."
"Aha! Why haven't I initiated you?"
"Tse, , because Mo'at initiated me into the Omatikaya!"
"Tse Ma Mo'at cannot have ALL the fun. Ngeyä kxetse lu oeru!"
And with that she gave him a quick prick on the shoulder.
[descLook=]"Nìn,[/desc] you even TASTE like mine!"  She turned to Pxatxi. "Ngaru tut?"
"Oe lu Patricia Fenwick ta Txe'lan Aean Gate. Ulte oeru syaw Pxatxi! Oel keomum pefnel olo'.
"Tse ngahu Hans. Tafral ngeyä kxetse nìteng lu oeru!"  Patricia too, was blooded.  Yet although they were being light-hearted, Tsahik Mekir looked them both in the eye and pronounced quite soberly, "Oel Mefoti Kameie."  Amid welcoming smiles, everyone in the clan followed the slightly inebriated Tsahik in search of the other pilots.
Throughout the Omatikaya Kelutral, aysahik were claiming and blooding the mipa Na'vi into their ayolo'.  Mendllzong was sitting next to the yumon known as Ted Demaria. Ted sighed and spoke to Mendllzong. "Mendelson," he corrected himself, "Ma Mendllzong.  I am feeling left out of htis celebration.  Do you think that I will ever be accepted like this?
"Tse. Ewya has seen your Blue Heart. So it is only a matter of time. But it takes six years to grow an avatar.  You will have to be patient."
Ted was thoughtful and replied earnestly, "You know, even if I were never to receive an Avatar, I would hope to be included in this big family. I feel so much happier to be here instead of with the RDA forces."
"Then ve are sitting too far away. Let's get into it, but take it easy on the Kava.  It packs a whallop and you ain't dat stronk yet!" Mendelson lead the way towards the party and took a yumon sized cup of the potent drink. He took a big swallow and handed the rest to Ted, who took a cautious sip and then drank down the rest. He gave his head one shake to let his eyeballs realign themselves.
Gregory took his muntxate by the hand.  "Ma Oeyä kalina Mo'at!  You have been so very involved, Ngaru lu fpom, srak?" You are well, yes/no?
"Oeru 'efu lefpom, srane, Ma Krekori." They exchanged a sweet little kiss before she turned to Ted and said, "Oel ngati Kameie!" and gestured from her forehead in greeting.  It did not escape Ted the level of acceptance in her greeting. "Ngaru lu fpom, srak? I see that Krekori has graduated your meals from broth to something more, substantial.  Don't over do it!"  She gave each of them a stern gaze and then a wide smile. JakeSully and Neytiri were standing close enough to have overheard the exchange.  He leaned close to Neytiri's ear and whispered, "Where's the Dragon Lady of old?"

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

180)~The Ayevi weren't far away, playing tag and shouting,NGEYÄ KxETSE LU OER!   Ayfeynyu  let them tire themselves out before sleep time. Ateyo settled back with her yumon sized tsngal of Kava, grinning stupidly to herself as she watched the ayevi play. "PrrFkenTrrKrr" she announced aloud.
"This stuff is like Schnapps or Brandy!  It's nothing like the Kava we used to drink in Samoa.  We used to make it from the root of a pepper plant. Not fruit." said Tai.
"That's OK Cuz." said Taifa. "I don't gotta fly in the morning, I'll drink your portion!"
"I thought Kava meant coffee." muttered Ka'alani.
"No, no, that's JAVA!" corrected Ted, momentarily unaware that he was enjoying himself.
"No, no. That's an island on 'Rrta." joked Pxatxi.
"Nope. It's a computer script." boasted Kirby, who was not shy at the moment.
"Well, it tastes like Saki to me, and I want to learn how to make it!" offered Tobi.
"Tse, I can't even walk let alone climb a tree!" moaned Ateyo. "Trray ha'angir"
"Tse, do you think you can crawl up to the Avatar Sleeping Lounge without killing yourself?" Tai was somewhat annoyed at her yawnetu. She wanted to spend her last waking hours meaningfully, but Ateyo was far beyond focus.
Pxepxi and Kofi came bounding up. Ma Sa'nok Oe ru lu väng. May I have a drink of water?"
"Tam Tam, Ma oeya 'Ite.  Slä tsal krr nik'ong alaksi a hahaw"
"Au, sanoktsyìp!  Nìwotx aylapo ayevi mi uvan sì!"
"Slä, aylapo ayevi ke makto mi oeyä lefngapa ikran, trray."   Said Tai.
Kofi caught on very quickly, "Txon lefpom, ma oeyä ayeylan." , he called out loudly. And sat down between Taifa' and Ka'alani.  Ka'alani produced warm wet towels. She handed one to Tai and said, "Hey Cuz! Did you ever think that you would have your own family?!"
"Never in a million years, and not in blue!  It is wonderous how Eywa has worked in our lives!" and to Pxepxi she said, "Ma Evi! You are SWEATY!" And began washing her.
"Za'u ma evi. Krr a hahaw." And Ateyo wobbled to her feet.
"Oel zamunge Pxepxi." "You need a head start." said Tai.
"Ma sa'nok noläk nìhawng Kava!"
Ateyo knew she would  have a hard time living that down! She crawled up to the sleeping area, grateful that that she didn't have to climb into a sleep-leaf hammock tonight.  Tweety was hugging her and helping her up the steps. In her uniltìrantokx she was even taller than Ateyo than in her yumontokx.  Still it was a challenge.  "Ma Ateyo! You are such a light weight! That Kava isn't very strong.  You are a cheap date!"
"Pivawm oe tsal ral, Slä ke new Ivomum."
Tai soon brought up the children. "Ke serpä, mevi.  Sa'nur leru hahaw. Tsivurokx ko."
"Hivahaw sìltsan ma Sa'nok!" the mevi shouted.
"h'haw mev." muttered Ateyo.
"Hey are you going to sleep before ngaru pom oeti?
Ateyo rotated to a seated position and puckered her lips, causing the mevenge to giggle."Zamunge oeru oeyä meseyrì Kava!   The couple made a show of kissing each other loudly, which caused the mevi even more laughter.
"Get a room, you two!" laughed Taifa'.
"Not in front of the children!" cried Tai in mock-Victorian morality.
Mevi  laughed even louder, knowing they were included or excluded from this joke. They gave one final bounce and lay down between both sets of parents, and drifted off in slumber.

Ateyo Te Syaksyuk

181)~Alekxsi and Wade found a relatively quiet corner in the Avatar Sleeping Lounge.  They had cordoned off their area with the colorful vanes of the 'angstip  beast.  Not that they were making love, but they wanted to be in their blue bodies for as long as possible.  Kirby, true to his word, took the overnight shift., though he mingled with the crowd from time to time. Yet now his unmoving Blue form was stretched out not far from where they lay. Alekxsi and Wade were wondering how and where couples found privacy in the communal living society of the Na'vi.  Alekxsi couldn't imagine being safe in the jungle, with all one's defenses down, so to speak, prey to aynantang ulte ayfalulukan. But she and Wade had avoided the partying to spend some significant time together in tsaheylu.  The sleeping quarters in the Remote Link Site had no double beds, not even for humans, so they enjoyed their company in this manner, even though the others had come in noisy and inebriated.  They also knew that Kirby was being transferred to one of the Pa'li clans in about four days.  Who knew what would happen then for their scheduling?  They each noticed that their energy had drifted towards worry. So they embraced each other instead. Together they each grabbed a ride upon a sea creature and swam to the depths of the twinkling ocean.
