Home tree.
Ground level, near the fire pit, with the spiral structure used as a stairway in the back ground.
Jake is trying to repair an arrow, and not doing it quickly, it is obvious his mind is elsewhere. He looks sad, depressed and exhausted.
Camera angle shows  Tsu'tey and Peyal walk by in the background, slightly out of focus. They stop at the base of the spiral they look over to Jake for a moment. Then we see them talking together, as Jake heats the resin stick in the fire.
Jake accidentally wipes the hot resin stick onto a finger "Pxasik!"
Jake drops it and the arrow, Tsu'tey and Peyral look round at this, Peyral kisses Tsu'tey and walks over to Jake, who is sucking his burned finger.
She squats next to him, picks up the arrow and resin stick. in the background we see the out of focus Tsu'tey lean his txim casually against the spiral.
Peyral, with subtitles "Kaltxi ma tsmukan" pauses and continues, still in Na'vi "How are you holding up?"
Jake in Na'vi, and with a mouth full of burnt finger looks at it and the at the floor, sighs deeply "I don't want to talk about it."
Peyral turns her attention to the broken arrow, quickly and expertly completes the repair, making it look very easy.
Peyral in Na'vi "It will help."
Jake, takes the finger out of hi mouth, in Na'vi, doubtfully "Will it?"
Peyral puts a hand on Jakes shoulder, he looks at her and she looks deeply into his eyes for a few seconds.
Peyral in Na'vi "You won't know until you try it."
Jake looks back for a few seconds.
Jake in english "OK." he takes a deep in breath, then in Na'vi "I feel like someone tore out my heart and kicked it round the floor."
Long silence between them.
Peyral in Navi "Go on."
Jake in Navi "You know that when I was a human I couldn't walk?"
Peyral in Navi  "Mmm, thats why your human needed the chair with wheels."
Jake now in english "I was shot fighting a war back on Earth, place called Venezuela. They said 'how important it was', and how we were 'fighting for freedom'. It was a stupid war that nobody remembers now, stupid and pointless. We weren't fighting for freedom, that's just what they told us. We were fighting to take away the last piece of rain forrest. How many died? And for what? A few numbers on a balance sheet. We committed genocide, so a few rich share holders could become slightly richer."
Peyral looks at him she can tell there's more.
Jake "The Doctors said I would never walk again, not without an operation and on going treatment I could never afford. I couldn't walk, couldn't be a marine. Prisoner in my own broken body. That was the worst day of my life, nothing can compare to that." sigh looks at Peyral "But this is worse." long pause "Much worse." tears are just starting to well in Jakes eye's "I don't know if I'll ever see her again."
Peyral in english "But the ship. The one you are working on."
Jake "Yeah, that's got to be the worst kept secret on Pandora."
Jake wipes his eyes.
Jake "Outcast doesn't know if it is possible, he tries to hide it," Jake frowns "but I seem to be able to pick things up differently now."
Peyral "You are not human, remember? You're one of the people now."
No reaction from Jake.
Peyral "You know, the blue monkeys?"
Jake laughs very briefly, "Even Mo'at is less confident about it now."
Long pause.
Jake "Even if it is finished, and it all works, and gets us to earth, in time. We still have to rescue her, and that ain't gonna be easy."
Long pause
Jake "Even if we do pull it off, and get back OK, there'll be a war to fight here. Outcast let slip there's well over two thousand troops headed our way. With more and better weapons. They'll know their body armor is useless, so they'll fix that too.
Long pause.
Peyral "Can we win again? So many Omatikaya run with Eywa now." pause "Do we stand any chance?"
Jake pause "Yes, of course."
Peyral annoyed "I am not a child Jake Sully, and I am not skxawng either."
Jake "There is a chance, but it is not a certainty. They will have nukes with them this time. If they use them, then it's all over. No more forest. No more Na'vi. No more Eywa."
Long pause.
Peyral "I saw what happened in the clearing. I do not understand. Why? If they only want to kill us, then why do that?"
Jake looks into the fire "Because it was the right thing to do."
Long pause
Jake "Some times it just needs one person to have the courage to go first, and then others will follow." pause "But it doesn't happen very often." pause "I expected Lewis to be shot with everyone else. I guess miracles really can happen."
Long pause, Jake looks thoughtful.
Jake "Their commanding officer, didn't catch his name. He covered for them, let Pope think they'd been massacred. Why?"
Peyral "Mo'at noticed that too."
Jake "Doesn't miss much, does she?"
Peyral "No. Feel better now?"
Jake "A little."
Peyral "Good, go get some sleep."

Pandoran Human base.
Room with the holographic table. Jake in an endopack, human Outcast, Max, Stan, an un-named aircraft tech' and, leaning across the table, the hologram of Grace Augustine.
Jake "So we need the submarine to be big enough to contain a link machine."
Hologram of Dr Augustine "Plus life support, heat, lights, and something to power them."
Max "Need enough space for "Outcast, Jake and Neytriri."
Jake "Three Jakes."
Stan "Three?"
Jake "Me, my human avatar, and my human avatar's Na'vi avatar."
Stan "You want to bring them back then?"
Jake "Yep. I can fight to the death, then fight to the death again, and still walk away without a scratch."
Max "OK three Jake Sullies, one Outcast and one Neytiri."
Grace "I hate to bring this up, but there is another Na'vi on earth, Pasha, it is her NVTranscriptase that was used for the avatar's. And before we had researchers based on pandora, we leaned everything we knew about the Na'vi and their world from her. She's been there since she was eight, and it's over thirty years now. If there is any chance at all, could you bring her back too?"
Outcast "Planned to."
Grace "Journey time is fourteen hours.You'll need food and liquids, and therefore a 'rest room'."
Stan "Are we going to fit it with weapons?"
Outcast "Probably not, they'd need developing, and the timetable is tight enough already, plus they'd need space, access hatches, controls, cooling, power, etc, etc." pauses, looks thoughtful, sigh "But it's probably not a bad idea to plan for them, just in case."
Un-nameed technician "Really, we could do with some sort of cloaking device."
Outcast "Already on it."
Stan "Anything else it needs?"
Grace "No one mentioned a door."
Stan laughs, "Good point."
Max "Scanning equipment to locate them."
Outcast "I can provide that."
Jake "Seats, I've been on the floor for long journey's before, not good."
Stan "Seating for six."
Grace "It will operate in atmosphere, so I take it aerodynamics are a consideration too?
Stan "Sure are, pandora's atmosphere particulary, it's denser, and deeper than earth's."
Un-named technician "What material do we use for the skin?"
Outcast "Got it covered."
Everyone looks at outcast.
He looks up, "Sorry. Pun not intended"
Jake "It needs a name."
Stan "Yes, she does."
Grace "How about Riti?"
Max "Why not Toruk?"
Jake "Last shadow, not sure about that."
Stan "How about PTESC."
Every one looks at stan like he's slightly nuts.
Stan "Pandora To Earth Shuttle Craft."
Outcast "Planing on a one way trip?"
Grace "Deliverance."
Jake "Mmm."
Stan "Works for me."
Max "Ticks all the right boxes."
Outcast "Mmm, yeah."
Stan "OK, Deliverance it is.
Un-named technician "We should have a look in mind, something sleek, and stylish."
Stan "Why?"
Grace "I think he's right, I don't want something so hideous I'm embarrassed to be part of it's inception."
Max "Agreed."
Others "Mmm."
Jake "Did you have something in mind?"
The tech holds out a piece of paper with a pencil sketch on it for every one to see.
Domed at the front (helpfully marked "Fore"), widening gently to a quarter the length, before tapering off to a flattened point, (Helpfully marked "Aft")
Looking something like a cross between a bloated Na'vi arrow head and the nose of a Blackbird SR71.
Jake "Like it."
Camera zooms in on it slowly.
Outcast "I could go with that."
Stan "Needs to be quite large, to fit everything in."
Piece of paper now fills the screen.

Again, dialogue all believeable, good style, grammar is flawless, very captivating storyline, easier to follow than the previous one - one of the best on the forum.

Scene 7

Another six years pass.

Montage, with voice over by Norm.

"The six years where tough on Jake, he spent most of his time working on the new ship, it was about the only thing that seemed to take his mind off the pain he felt."
We see Jake and Outcast taking large diameter tubes out of the stereo lithograph plant, a large machine in the background travels very slowly thirty or forty feet backwards and forward. Then Jake taking six seats on a pallet from a room with a sign above the door "Trim shop", the pallet truck is uncomfortably small for him, but he doesn't seem concerned.
"Everyone could see Neytiri's absence tore at his heart."
We see Jake sitting on Neytiri's fishing rock in the river, bow by his side, head in his hands.
"The construction team extended the human base,"
We see the construction team excavating. Then the newcomers being shown their new rooms, thirty two single rooms, each fifteen feet square.
"and for the fist time it was given a name, Heavens Gate."
We see a small sign being unveiled by Esperanza, next to the airlock entrance from the main aircraft chamber, into the complex.

Heaven's Gate
Population 95

Crowd of all the humans, Trudy looking pregnant, Outcast and a few Na'vi. Including Jake, Mo'at, Tsu'tey and Peyral.
In the back ground we see four completed and part completed C21's.
"It took nearly a year, and a whole lot of surgery to fix Janice and Ralf's avatars."
We see a montage, Two operating tables, each with an avatar each having bullets dug out, human surgeons in white exopacks.
Then the two in Amino tanks, next to a whole row of other amino tanks, with baby avatars, some double occupied.
Then Ralf and Janice hoping into link machines, looking very excited.
Then both 'waking up' in their avatar bodies, both with a lot of scars, Ralf's with by far the most.
Max hands each a present, they unwrap them. It's the RDA backpacks with their names on, with the RDA logo's removed.
"Esparanza gained a brother, Tommy."
We see Trudy giving birth, her and Norm cooing, Esperanza aged seven, wide eyed, and looking stunned."
Cut to the Heaven's Gate sign, someone with their back to the camera is blocking our view of it, they finish working on it, stand back to admire their work for just a moment, then someone calls them and the walk off, we see sign now reads Population 96, then camera pans round to reveal four completed C21's parked at the back of the chamber, and another four recently started.
"Tsu'tey and Peyral had a son _____, and two years later a daughter _____."
We see Mo'at acting as midwife to Peyral, Na'vi births are just the same as human births.
Then we see Peyral with a new born in an iveh k'nivi s'dir and Tsu'tey carrying a two year old.
"Though we got on with the preparations,"
We see human Bill and a couple of the newcomers doing one armed push ups in a large fitness gym. Trudy and the Air Traffic Control woman doing pull ups in the back ground and Ty using Quaritch's weights bench.
"everyone tried not to dwell too much on the coming war."
Cut to fleet of four ISV's, well spread out, then a cryo vault, the camera passing over the names of M Quaritch and P Selfridge among others, Then the cargo hold with several pallets of the same nukes as used in Avatar2.
Cut to a torpedo tube, pan across to see several others, and more of these same nukes, ready and waiting to be loaded and fired.
Cut to the deuterium station, out side shot, then an inside shot of the line of occupied and empty Cryo units, the camera passing over the names of M Pettersen and L Pope, among others.
"We had another wedding Phil and Clarissa tied the knot."
We see a virtual rerun of Norm and Trudy's wedding, but it's the site maintenance woman who caught the bouquet, and her man.
"They didn't waste any time."
Cut to the Heaven's Gate sign, someone with their back to the camera is blocking our view of it, they finish working on it, stand back to admire their work for just a moment, then enter the airlock, we see sign now reads Population 97, then camera pans round to reveal sixteen completed C21's parked at the back of the chamber, twelve in a huge rack, four wide, and three high. Another four are part completed in the centre of the chamber.
"Twenty would be fliers signed up."
Trudy is talking a group of ten humans over one of these. In the background, Bill has another group of another ten.
"And to every ones surprise they all went on to make excellent pilots. Both in person."
Cut to a view from way above the forest, looking down. We see five neat groups of four C21's, plus one out in front and one bringing up the rear."
"And by remote control."
Cut to a row of twenty two remote control booths. Bill, Trudy and the other twenty pilots talking among themselves around them.
Cut to the ISV fleet, they flip over, end for end, then engage main engines.
Cut to the panel where Outcast emerged from, linger on it for a couple of seconds, it remains firmly closed.
Cut to the aft emergency airlock for a few seconds, this one has not had any upgrades. A very gentle light snow of dislodged frost settles on it.
Cut to the outside of Venture star's aft emergency airlock, linger for a full ten seconds, it also remains firmly closed.

Scene 8

Spoiler

Cut to a piece of paper, it fills the screen, on it the sketch, a domed front end, widening gently, before tapering off to a flattened point, a blend of bloated Na'vi arrow head and Blackbird SR71 nose cone.
Sketch lingers filling the screen for about a second, then is lowered down by the first person holder of it.
Revealing the now completed Deliverance. Taking up much of the chamber nick named 'Area 51'.
A touch over forty five feet long, twenty two feet wide at the widest and fifteen feet high at the highest.
It sits low on four pad feet, it is dark gray, almost black, long flowing, streamer like pattens in various shades of mid gray run the full length. The upper side is slightly darker than the lower side, a gradual fade from one to the other, no defined edges.
There is a small gathering, Stan and the other technicians, aircraft, and construction, Max, Jake, Outcast and Mo'at.
Mo'at is standing by the front, a bottle of champagne in one hand.
Mo'at, in subtitled Na'vi, except the english words 'human' and 'Deliverance' .....
"Despite some initial doubts, she is now ready. So, in keeping with human tradition."
Opens the bottle with a loud pop.
"I name her Deliverance."
Mo'at liberally pore's Champagne over the nose of Deliverance.
"May Eywa watch over her and those who fly with her."

Cut to the river, fishing location.
Jake is standing on Neytiri's fishing rock. Bow, with arrow ready. Jake wholly focused on his prey. After some moments, almost motionless, he see's something. Arrow, drawn gently, released. Fish caught, he hauls it in. It's a good size.
Jake opens the lid of his basket, it's pretty full. He slips in the fish, and closes the lid. Lifts the basket and slings its strap across his shoulder.

Cut to new home tree.
This scene is in Na'vi, with subtitles.
Jake is preparing the fish, two other Na'vi are also prepping fish. Jake is smiling to himself.
Out of focus, Peyral and Tsu'tey walk past in the background, camera follows them but still focusing on Jake, who remains in shot.
Peyral and Tsu'tey stop by the base of the spiral, the fire pit over to one side bathing them in a warm light. Peyral kisses Tsu'tey, then they touch foreheads and noses together affectionately. After several seconds they part, Peyral comes over to Jake, and touches him on the shoulder, opposite side to herself. Jake glances in that direction, then quickly looks round to her, and smiles broadly. She smiles back.
Peyral "I have not see you this happy in too long."
Jake "I'm going back to earth, and Neytiri."
Long pause. Peyral squats next to Jake.
Peyral "How do you plan to rescue her?"
Jake "Wait for the right moment, and move in fast."
Peyral "And if the moment does not come?"
Jake "Can't risk frontal assault, we'd need to creep up, some how."
Peyral "Nothing specific then."
Jake "I don't know how or where they'd hold her. And I'd need some good, usable intel before I started planning."
Peyral "You know how they think Jake, Where might they put her? Where would you put her?"
Jake "Wouldn't be a prison, might be hard to control the other inmates, unless it was a closed prison. They wouldn't expect her to escape, without a mask she couldn't get far, not on one lungful. So maybe a military base. Or an RDA site. I heard a rumor there's a Na'vi kept in a lab somewhere on earth, it would be set up to hold one, it might be used to hold two, at least short term. And earth may have changed a lot , I haven't seen it in twelve years."
Peyral "Eighteen, you spent six in cryo coming here. When do you go?"
Jake "We start trials tomorrow, if there are no problems, we want to leave in eight to ten days time."
Peral "Eywa Ngahu, ma tsmukan."
Jake "Irayo, ma tsmuke."
Peyral stands, then rejoins Tsu'tey.

I wouldn't worry too much about soft skin, it has to keep the vacuum of space and a thousand psi water separate. It's pretty tough.
Plus the outcast's avatar thing, and his fake ikran are both bullet proof.

This scene is kind of necessary padding, I needed to put something in to separate the last scene from what comes next.
It's taken me ages, I have written, and rewritten this scene, and hated all the earlier versions, which were very different.
This one suddenly came to me, while I was talking to a customer, don't know why, not the best time for fanfic inspiration.
Plus I planned to throw in a touch more Trudy back story sooner or later anyways.
Anyone who fails to spot the trek reference will be fed to the aynantang.


Scene 9

Outcast's niche, bellow Hell's Gate.
Jake, Mo'at and Outcast are inside. We look in. from the men's room. The cement wall is no longer translucent, there is simply a hole.
All three are loading the contents of the niche onto three hand carts.
Female voice "Do you really think the humans will return, to Hell's Gate, if they know its bugged, why would they?"
Outcast "They probably don't know, their plan was to retrieve and thaw the people that do know, only after setting up here. In the original plan, those left behind where relatively unimportant."
Female voice "But they know ..... "
Outcast "Mmm. Exactly."
Jake "Why not use the Deliverance and trash their cryo units."
Mo'at "He doesn't think like that, he is not a murderer."
Jake "The needs of the many?"
Outcast "Out way the inalienable human rights of the few, Venezuela all over again. No. Besides they may be useful."
Long silence
Jake "Useful, how?"
Mo'at "You where at the 'field hospital', you saw. Only a few stepped out, but all knew it was right. They will talk."
Female voice "And spread decent."
Jake "Maybe, but you can't depend on it."
Outcast "No, true, but I can be reasonably sure word will get round. A shadow of doubt in two thousand plus mercenaries is well worth the few extra in numbers."
Jake "True, and they'll know the last shah'tel out ditched the rearguard."
Mo'at "The six left behind, they did not choose to stay, they know why they were left behind?"
Jake "Yeah, if the shuttle waited thirty seconds for them, Trudy would've taken it out, they know that. Actually she wouldn't have, she couldn't use missiles as it was."
Outcast "Trudy hung back, because you and Neytiri were on board. It would've been wasted on the pan, if you three weren't there."
Mo'at "How far can we trust those six, where do their loyalties lie?"
Jake "Good question, it was an issue in Venzuela too."
Last of the loose items are piled onto a forth hand truck. They stand back and, taking a moments break, they look at the four heaped up trucks.
Jake "So much stuff."
Outcast "I'll show you the one on earth."
Female voice "Go on."
Jake "It was common knowledge there was a leak at the heart of the presidents regime. Supposedly the first lady."
Outcast "I'd be careful who you said that in front of."
Jake gives Outcast an enquiring expression.
Outcast sighs "One: You didn't here this from me. Two: This conversation never happened."
Jake "OK?"
Outcast "What was the name of the Venezuelan president?"
Jake "President Raúl, Carlo or Carlos." pause "Carlo, I think."
Outcast "Correct."
Mo'at pats the table "How will we move this."
Outcast "Easy, remember Hegner's avatar floating above it? We turn it over, and the table floats. But first ..... " points up at the unit on the roof.
Female voice, slightly hurt "You want to disconnect me, don't you."
Outcast, climbs onto the table "Sorry."
Female voice "Don't leave it too long."
Outcast "I promise."
Femle voice "I'll hold you to it. Bye."
Outcast takes down the unit.
Jake "Why disconnect her."
Outcast "Won't come off the ceiling if it's switched on."
They turn the table over, it flaots, the unit is placed on it.
Outcast "So, can you name Carlo's first lady?"
Jake "Not sure, was she a Trudy?"
Outcast "She was, she was miss Venezuela too. Which is how they met. Remember how many kids did they had?"
Chair and previous outcast's wrist device on to the table. along with a few other odd bits.
Jake looks in deep thought, then unsure "Three." much surer "Pretty sure there was three kids, Miguel was much older, previous wife. He was a general in the army. Considered a bit of a joke, but they say he died bravely, saving lives. Umm, I think there were two more."
Outcast "Spot on, but can you name them."
Jake looks in deep thought for a moment, then "No, back then I probably could, but it's too long ago. A different life." Jake frowns "Hell, I was a different species back then!"
Outcast smiles, "Miguel was named after Carlo's father. His second child was a daughter and as Carlo's first wife and mother where both Mary, that was out of the question, so they named her after her mother, Trudy. Third child was another boy, named Carlo after his father."
Jake "That's a coincidence, Trudy's brother's name is Carlo, we just call him Sensei." sudden look of shock "No. I don't believe it."
Outcast "Believe it, and that's the real reason neither saw front line active combat." places his own canister on the table.
Jake "That can't be true."
Long pause. Jake is motionless as he takes it in.
Jake "So where dose the 'Chaccon' come from?"
Outcast "Their mothers maiden name."
Jake "Does Norm know?"
Outcast shrugs, and hold's his palms out, in a 'who knows' kind of way. Reaches down for the second canister.
Cut to close up of the last canister, Outcast reaches into shot and removes it, camera remains for a moment to see there are roots starting to push out of the wall just behind it.

Scene 10

Heavens Gate.
Main aircraft chamber.
Jake and Outcast, both heavily loaded with bags, and equipment, walk across the camber, toward the main door to 'Area 51'. Wide shot. Behind them there are many racks containing C21's. Plus a few Scorpions too.
Jake, looking at the fleet of parked aircraft, "I still can't believe they managed to build so many."
Outcast "We'll need every last one of them, and they need to make each one really count."
Jake "I know everyone else has asked themselves: Do we stand a chance of winning? If we do win this time, what about next time? And the time after that? ..... "
Outcast "I don't know what the future holds, any more than anyone else. You know as well as I, Earth want's Pandora back under it's control. They'd send more and more fleets, getting bigger and more powerful each time. But Earth is not in good shape, the global economy is slowly failing. Food production is stretched to breaking point. Wasting their dwindling resources on ever larger invasion fleets, can't continue indefinitely."
Long silence broken only by the sound of their foot steps.
Outcast "They've put everything into this one Jake. And I mean everything. Maybe they could scrape enough together for one more, and maybe they couldn't."
Jake "It's really that bad?"
Outcast "It was going that way when I left."
They reach the door, Outcast presses the open button on the control panel, the doors open, to reveal Deliverance.
Outcast "Got every thing? Packed lunch? Toiletries? Shaving kit? Sun block? Spare Pants? Change for the fone?"
Jake interrupts "Who'd I call?"
Outcast "You still have human friends and family on earth."
Jake "Family maybe, but no one I'm close to. And I doubt I have any friends left, not anymore."
Outcast "You really going to bring the bow and arrows?"
Jake "It's quiet, doesn't attract attention like a gun shot."
Outcast "How are the shoes?"
Jake "Strange. Haven't worn shoes in, twelve years? Not on these feet anyway."
Jake taps the bracelet he is wearing a doorway in the side of deliverance becomes translucent, Jake steps aboard.
The interior is basic. Three seats, a view screen and a small control console in the front. Behind these, lockers for equipment, two dispensers for water, a simplistic picture of a pink human on one, on the other a similar pic, but cyan, taller, and with a tail. Opposite these three more seats, facing inwards. Further aft the door on one side, the stretched link machine the other, with lockers for equipment beneath, alongside the feet end, the can.
Outcast joins Jake, who is still looking at the door to the can, looking slightly worried.
Outcast, kind of awkward "Err ..... Umm ..... Is, err, is Neytiri .....  OK ..... with ..... those?"
Jake, kind of awkward "Err, I'm, ah ..... She'll manage .....  I expect."
They look at each other with slightly concerned expressions for a moment, then break off and stow their bags and equipment.
Outcast "Ready?"

Jake taps the view screen to select Earth. Then more taps to make the doorway opaque, and raise the undercarriage.
Outcast sits on one of the three side facing seats looking at the water dispensers. takes out of a pocket three light gray balaclavas. Thick, padded looking, the right size for Na'vi or avatars. Peels the velcro seam at the back of one open.
Cut to outside of Deliverance, it lifts slightly, then moves forward, past the C21's and Scorpions, and out into the night.
Stan, in an exopack steps out from between the parked aircraft "Eywa ngahu, ..... and good luck."


ISV Venture Star.
Cryo vault. All is dark, lit only by the small view ports and the power on lights on the machines. Sound of heating system kicking in, lights come on, a warm blast from the ventilation ducts. After a couple of moments the first few cryo's open, ships crew, among them the guy who helped Jake out of his unit in Avatar1.
We follow a crew member as she floats off, to the artificial gravity capsule's hub, flicks a few switches, we hear deep mechanical noises, as the units unlock.
Cut to outside of ISV, we see the capsules start to rotate. Camera pans across the other three, much larger ships, their equivalent sections start to rotate also, Camera continues to pan round, and comes to rest on a still distant, but recognizable Polyphemus, and a small blue green dot, Pandora.
