srry im confused. how is Grace there? i no they somehow got to her in one of the past scenes, but how is she there? some sort of projection or something?

Grace Augustine is leaning across and into the table. .....

..... The camera passes behind one of the Eastern sea tribe and as it passes beyond them, we see Grace side on. She stops at the edge of the table. .....

..... Grace pulls back and stands up right, she disappears as she passes beyond the table's edge.

Her physical form is part of the projection. But that's her spirit, within Eywa, they managed to network into Eywa's tree root transduction network in scene 11.

I'm not sure what Eywa thinks about it, ask tsahìk.


Scene 30

Spoiler

Forest.
The Na'vi are in retreat,  a collection of blue stripy's fleeing from the on coming human troopers' assault. A hail storm of bullets follow them, but the warriors are out of Arrows.
Na'vi are falling one by one, they are a good distance from the humans and out running them but not their bullets.
An Ikran swoops down from above the tree tops, its rider lets fly an arrow and a trooper is felled. the humans all turn but suddenly it is not one Ikran, but hundreds. Well aimed arrows rain down. Troopers fall at all points along their line. The out cast does his backward roll off his Ikran as it catches, and carries off an amp suit. Its a struggle, but it manages.
Outcast lands on his feet in a crouch close to a pair of humans. He touches his wrist pad and rises to stand. The two humans aim at him, point blank.
Close up on outcasts finger, tapping his wrist device once in slow motion.
As it contacts we cut to a view down from high above, we can just barely make out the people on the ground. A shock wave emanates from the outcasts position. We see it spread out maybe five hundred feet in all directions before dissipating.
Back on the forest floor the human guns have fallen silent. For a split second no one moves or makes a sound. A moment of realization for all involved, and the humans turn and run from the sudden Na'vi onslaught.

Elsewere in the forest.
Troopers, roughly twenty, moving forwards, they are well spread out in a line that disappears in the trees and undergrowth.
They advance for some time. They are jumpy, flinching at every unfamiliar sound. Suddenly and with no warning they come under fire.
Samson door guns, the weapon of choice for avatars.
Two troopers are immediately taken down in the first salvo, the rest return fire. Avatar Norm and Avatar Bill are tucked up in good cover, both duck a little as bullets fly over there heads, the broad spread shows the humans do not know where they are exactly. Bill and Norm open fire again, the journeys of another three troopers end. The humans have spotted Bills position and concentrate fire on it. Bill duck out, gives Norm the thumbs up, Norm gives Bill the thumbs up.
Bill cries out loudly as if in pain, and retreats to a second position.
Norm opens fire, another two troops go down, a bush moves all the human troopers fire on it at once. All is calm for a moment before Norm opens fire again, and this time four go to meet the ancestors. The responding machine gun fire destroys the bush completely. We see Norm, flat on is front, lying behind rocks and sand bags, a piece of string is tied to the bush at one end, the other end to Norms tail. The string breaks. Norm slips his end off his tail.
We see a close up of a trip wire as we hear Norm open up again and see another trooper fall in the back ground a troopers shin takes the wire.
we see Norm move to Bills original position, and as we hear the sound of a large explosion that rattles the leaves Norm instinctively ducks.
Norm uses a hand held screen and a camera on a stick to look over the top. We see camera's perspective, now only 4 troopers left. Norm takes one out, then click, magazine empty.
a hail of bullets comes his way as all three survivors return fire. Norm ducks out, most of the way to join Bill, he gives a blood curdling cry. He joins Bill.
Bill whispers "Have you ever considered a career in acting?"
Norm gives him a look.
Bill whispers "How many left?"
Norm holds up three fingers.
The three human troopers advance on the previous positions of Bill and Norm. Between the trees they see the shack in the distance.
They  move forwards one tree at a time, one moving, while two keep them covered.
One trooper to another "Do you think we got them?"
It is his turn to move, he moves forward. after a moment he is rejoined and gets his answer.
2nd trooper "No I think we scared them off, they're tree huggers, not trained soldiers. Except Sully."
They continue, unopposed, they reach the shack.
It still has the dent in the roof made by Quaritch in Avatar1, the broken window has had a large metal plate welded over the top to make it airtight again.
Two guard outwards, behind convenient sandbag emplacements. The third opens the shacks outer airlock door, very cautiously.
No booby traps, he enters cautiously, hits the button to change the air. The light changes, the trooper takes off his exopack. Then looks scared, he takes the smallest sniff of the air, seems OK. A larger sniff, still OK. A lung full, Still OK.
He opens the inner airlock door cautiously, still no booby traps. He steps inside and closes the door, he looks around. There are two link machines running, and a large, link machine shaped, plate on the floor. The screens show the human face of Jake Sully in the link machine one. 'Beulah' is just visible where it was written in marker pen on the top of the lid, long, long ago.
Trooper into his throat mike "Sully is here, and another one. Seems safe."
He presses another button on his throat mike, "Ecco to base, have located Sully."
We hear the airlock used as he calls this in.
Voice over comms "Roger that. Will send transport."
A second trooper steps in. They look at each other, the first one nods to link machine three. They hit the emergency stop button.

In the clearing, the hospital is once more open for business, one of the avatars goes straight down. Max and Cindy look at each other, they and they alone here, know what that means.

Back in the shack the only Sec-For trooper to have stayed behind after the venture star left, is woken rudely.
"Hey what the hell do you..."
He receives a vicious left hook, he rolls with it, and kicks the guy in the head, which he's not expecting, it knocks him off balance, he goes down. The second one points a pistol in his face. Avatar trooper put's his hands up, and slowly sits up, his feet uncomfortably over the side of the machine.
Sec-for trooper looks down at his colleague for a split second, Avatar trooper brings something out from the roof, garbs the gun and brings down a slim but heavy flight case on his head, he goes straight down.
The first trooper is up again, his gun ready, avatar trooper grabs it and points it at the wall, as he head butts him in the face, the gun fires, making a bullet hole in the wall. 
Avatar trooper "Now look what you've done." as the alarms go off he bites the wrist of the hand holding the gun, really hard, resulting in a scream of pain that makes Norm and Bill look at each other.
Norm to Bill, quietly "You did tell him, he was meant to get captured?"
Bill, quietly "Well, he did say he'd try and make it look, authentic."
The third trooper is half in the door when his still conscious colleague is slammed hard against it, then dropped hard to the floor with a knee brought up hard into his face on the way.
Avatar trooper grabs a roll of duct tape and pulls off a length and smashing the sole of his foot hard into the face of the trooper he'd just hit over the head with the flight case, as he tries to get up again, and slams the tape over the hole.
The trooper with the bitten wrist is rolling away from the door and the third trooper is having another go at coming in to help. He gets a flight case hard in the face for his effort.
Avatar trooper slips a foot into a boot, pulls the velcro bindings tight, and repeats the foot hard in the face of the first trooper to be flight cased. Alarms go silent again. Second boot, as soon as it is done up it is stamps on a hand reaching for a pistol on the floor. The owner is the guy slammed into the door, he cries out in pain, but he'd expected this, he brings round his other hand with a medi syringe/ampule, and slams it into the calf muscle, and gets a damn good kick in the face for his trouble from the other foot.
The third, now inside the door, has the fight case above his head to bring down on the avatar troopers head, he gets the sole of a boot, full force in the family jewels, he crumples and goes down.
Avatar trooper is back up, the first trooper to be flight cased is too, Avatar trooper takes a step, and is OK, another step and his injected leg starts to give way, he catches the roof conduit support bar above his head to hold himself up and, with his good leg, kicks the guy in the family jewels too.
Last trooper not to get the family jewels treatment comes at him from behind with another ampule, his reflection giving him away, and has the heel of a boot catch him in the stomach hard, but he did get the ampule in the calf muscle.
The third trooper gives him two more in the butt, he hangs on for a moment more, then drops to the floor. He manages to grab hold of somebody's leg and bite the calf muscle hard, getting another loud cry of pain, before loosing consciousness.
The pretty beat up sec-for troopers give his unconscious body a damn good kicking.
We hear a C21 approaching outside.
The Sec-for troopers retrieve their pistols and re-group, they stand round the clam shell weapons aimed. The stop button is is hit.

Hells gate, aircraft bay.
A large cage has been constructed, Jake, Neytiri, and Mo'at are loaded into the door clangs shut behind them, as it does so Jake drops to the floor unconscious.
Mo'at shrieks and recils from him.
Neytiri, bends down, and cradles him in her arms.
Neytiri, shouts in Na'vi with subtitles "Jake, Jake, Jakesully, wake up, we need you, I need you, wake up."
She shakes him, but there is no sign of consciousness. She strokes Jakes right pectoral, lower out side corner delicately with a finger.
There is a long pause, while she caresses him.
Neytiri wails in accented english "Jake Sully please wake up, I need you," now in Na'vi "pay attention" now in english again "I need you to wake up. Right now."
One of the guards comes too close "He ain't gonna. He's not in there."
Neytiri lowers Jake's unconscious body to the floor, quickly but gently, then leaps and grabs at the guard out side the bars. She reaches out to where he had been, but he's jumped back and is out of range.
Neytiri, enraged, in Na'vi, no subtitles "What have you disgusting little sky people done to Jakesully? I will tear out your hearts and feed them to worms if you have hurt him."
She darts back to cradle Jake again tenderly. After a couple of moments a tear rolls down her cheek. We watch her fold herself over him, and cry her eyes out.
We hear a fast approaching C21.
Neytiri wails to Jake in Na'vi, no subtitles "I do not understand, how can this be? I know what happened at the tree of souls, I was there, I saw with my own two eyes."
As Mo'at squats down to comfort her daughter, and places her hand on Neytiri's shoulder.
The C21 lands in front of the cage, side on.
Neytiri pulls Jakes face to her body to protect him from the down wash and blown debris with one hand, and holds the other up to protect her own face. Mo'at, one hand not leaving Neytiri, the other shielding her own face.
Engines are shut off and begin to spool down, a door in the sides immediately opens.
An uninjured trooper and a crewman exit, they help unload a stretcher, the unconscious trooper lying on it. He is carried to the nearest airlock and disappears.
Someone is helped out who seems to have no use of his legs, a wheelchair appears from inside and is placed under the man.
The man is placed in it.
It is Jake Sully.
He looks at the floor.
Moat and Neytiri both look on, frozen in shock, eyes wide, mouths slightly open.
Jake, with guns pointed at him, wheels away to the air lock not taking eyes off the floor. he reaches the still closed airlock door, He looks back at the two indigenous tribes women, for a moment and we see tears in his eye's.
The airlock door opens and the group enter.
Cut to inside of airlock looking out, as Jake enters the airlock we hear Neytiri screaming hysterically, for a moment, then nothing as the airlock closes.
Jake droops, and screws up his face as if in pain, at this and the silence that follows.
Cut to inside of detention area. Hegner, Ralf and Janice are already there each has there own cell. Jake is loaded into the cell with Ralf, Hegner gets the now snoring trooper.

Scene 31

Spoiler

Administrators office hells gate.
Lars sits at his desk, Magnus and Promethius's first officer stand opposite. the office doors are closed.
First officer "You do realize that we are well over weight now?"
Lars "We will disembark all the troopers, apart from the wounded, at the deuterium station. Where they will remain in cryo until Selfridge arrives. Any vacant cryo's can be parked there also. Miles and parker will appreciate the extra numbers I'm sure. And I don't doubt the men will relish a second round with the locals."
Magnus "I'm not so sure, I feel that a lot of the men have had the fight knocked out of them, especially those who where at the field hospital."
Lars "Yes, tell me, how did that go?"
Magnus "I didn't see what happened personally, but I saw enough."
Lars looks at hum with a 'go on' expression.
Magnus hesitates and sighs deeply "I think the Narvee got a pretty darn good look, at exactly what humanity is capable of."
Lars "Excellent, the two avatar drivers are superfluous, they will remain at Hell's gate."
First officer "Three sir, three."
Lars smiles in a nasty way "Of course, I meant three." now sarcastically and with menace "I do hope nothing happens to their avatars, we wouldn't want to spoil there fun in the mean time, would we?"

Cut to the lab, there is very little equipment, mostly bare benches, but here are Janice and Ralf's avatars, still floating in there amino tanks.
Some crates have been piled up next to one of the tanks, also two brand new avatar size back packs, we see the name on one 'J. Prophet'.
Camera pans around them, they are still twitching randomly, the tanks are still fully functioning. We see two troopers enter the lab on the far side of the tanks, they are colored blue and distorted by their fluid and walls. Camera pans round to where the two troopers have taken up position to fire.
First "Twenty million each."
Second "Well that's the official figure, I heard it's actually more like a hundred and twenty mill. And that's before they're shipped here. At a million dollars a pound? What d'you reckon a full tank weighs?"
First "Couple of tons, easy."
Second "Exactly." he takes his gun's safety off, "Shall we?"
First trooper takes his safety off, and grins back, all tooth and no humor "Hell yeah!"
They open fire, and hose down the two tanks from there position, each emptying a hole magazine. The tanks leak, then rupture one avatar is beached sideways across the tank floor on its back.
The other on is out of the tank, draped over the crates.
The floor is awash with blue amino fluid
Satisfied at a job well done, they clench fists, one brings his upright fist down gently onto the upright fist of the other, who then copies the action back.
First trooper, as they put the safeties back on "Bevy?"
Second "Hell yeah!"

Cut to Avatar barack room shack. Another two troopers are are looking at a large hole torn out of the front of the shack, everything inside is smashed.
They climb the steps, one hand rail is torn almost completely off.
First trooper "What the hell did this?"
They enter cautiously, guns ready.
First trooper again, stunned at the damage "Thanator?"
Second trooper "We should report this right away."
First "We have a job to do."
They move aside and turn over a part of a smashed bed, there is a pool of dried blood, and a trail that leads over to the perimiter fence.
They look at each other.
Second trooper "Banshee."
They walk back toward the complex.
They divert to look at the mangled wreck of an amp suit. Buried head first in the soft soil. Buckled and busted castings. Limbs twisted, contorted and flattened. Torso crushed.
It looks like it was dropped here from a very great hight.
They take a good look, before now running back towards the compound.

Forest.
The humans are in retreat, a collection of camouflaged troopers fleeing from the on coming Na'vi assault.
Ikrans dive, arrows fly and humans fall one by on, the humans reach an area now littered with the arrow the ground warriors shot earlier.
The Na'vi warriors pause to pickup arrows, they fill their quivers, and lash three to the front of their bows.
now arrows come from behind and above, more humans fall.
The route continues, the camera sweeps up to above the tree tops, we see that Hell's Gate is not far now.
But there is gunfire from the watch towers, the Ikran riders dive bellow the canopy, and must weave between trees, and each other.
Now thee is a line of humans on the ground with guns, they open fire. and are met with the hail of arrows from two directions. they stand their ground at first, but as the Na'vi approach, they loose their nerve, turn and flee also, as arrows take out human after human.

Pandoran Human base.
Control room. Trudy is again watching the battle unfold on the 3D projection table. She keeps looking at here watch, she is anxious.
The door opens, one of the junior aircraft maintenance tech's put's his head round the door.
"Your ready to go, just fueling her now"
Trudy "Finally."
Cut to the C21, now ready looking, panels back on, hatches closed, missile pods fitted and loaded.
One of the tech's on hooks the large diameter fuel hose from a port on the fuselage. He drags it to one side, and hooks it into the side of a trailer.
Gives a thumb up to the driver and is pulls away. He latches the port's cover hatch down and thumps lightly on the side to let her know she's ready to go.
Engines start and spool up, trudy tries the controls, rotor blades spin up.
Trudy "Tower this is Rogue 1. Request permission for go."
Cut to the air traffic control lady as she returns to her station "Rogue 1, you are cleared for take off, hover taxi directly to hanger door 1 for north departure. Go kick some butt girl."
Trudy lifts her head and smiles happy surprise, this is not what she expects to hear from her.
We see Stan looking out of a window into the cavern.
Stan activates his throat mike, "Please, do try and bring it back in one piece, this time Trudy."
Trudy smiles "I'll do my best."

Hells Gate perimeter fence.
the humans have fallen back and are now in the open between the tree line and the fence. The continuous, razor wire toped, double electric fence.
The watch towers at each end of this side are manned and firing into the trees.
Two of the C21's and the samson come in to help out, but the C21's are low on missiles, and the Samson is fresh out. All are primarily using machine guns. 
Among the trees there is practically a fog of bullets, Na'vi are sheltering behind tree's and rocks, further back the Ikran riders are also sheltering behind trees, their Ikran hanging from the trunks of trees, tucked in.
Skimming the tree tops comes a third C21. It opens fire on the fleet, missiles away. This far from the flux there is no possibility of them missing. The humans on the ground scatter, as all three human aircraft go down in flames. One takes out a big section as it goes in.
The towers have already opened fire on Trudy's ship, but they stand no chance against the missiles she fires back at them, the ground troopers use the sizable gap in the fence to re-enter the Hells Gate compound

Hells Gate Detention section.
Two troopers burst in.
First "We need Jake, right now."
The guard looks at them blankly "This is most ..... "
First guard interrupts "Now, damn it."
The guard gets up, uses his tag to open Jakes cell, Jake wheels out and the door is closed.
The guard goes to sit down again.
First trooper "Out side, on the double."
Guard "But ..... "
First guard is already gone with Jake. Second trooper is leaving.
Second "Colonels orders, outside now."
Guard gets up and follows the rest out.

Hells Gate control room.
Lars is in his office, rapidly stuffing personal items in a bag.
A control room worker put's their head round the door.
Control room worker "We gotta go! Right now!"
Both run out, practically jump down flights of stairs, along a short corridor, and into an airlock. They put on exopacks as the air is already changing.
The emerge as Mo'at, Neytiri and Na'vi Jake is on a gurney are being moved to the shuttle craft.
People are running onto the shuttle.
The sound of gunfire is close at hand now.
Promethius's first officer walks down the loading ramp as:
Lars,
Human Jake in his wheel chair, with armed escort,
Mo'at, Neytiri and Na'vi Jake, also with armed escort,
Converge at the bottom of the shuttles loading ramp.
First officer "I'm sorry but there is only Cryo space for 2 Na'vi, one has to stay here."
Magnus is running up, as the sound of gunfire is getting closer.
Lars "The shaman stays, she's not on the list."
Two of the armed guards move her to one side.
Lars "Scorched earth."
The two start to move her to wards the wall of the building.
Magnus, his voice almost casually dismisive. "Cancel that order." pauses, to Mo'at "I'd run lady."
Mo'at looks across at Neytiri and two Jakes.
Neytiri and Human Jake both shout back in Na'vi "RUN!"
A stray bullet whips past.
Magnus comes up to the group, looking like he's in the mood for a fight as Neytiri and both Jakes are loaded.
Lars "Who the hell do you think you are? You will not interfere with my instructions, you will not countermand my orders."
Magnus "As commander of Sec-For at this installation, these are my men.
Magnus walks up the ramp, Lars backs up it.
Lars "And this is My installation, I give you your orders."
Magnus grabs Lars by the collar and slams him against the hull of the shuttle.
Magnus shouts into the face of Lars, spitting very slightly, as he shouts.
Magnus "I know what happened in that clearing earlier today, and I have no stomach to watch it play out again here!"
Magnus drops Lars, he's gone pale and very quiet. every one on the shuttle has stopped what they are doing and gone quiet. The moment ends as a burst of bullets smacks into the wall of the building.
The fight is close at hand, more troopers  run up the ramp and now squat at the top of it and fire out.
The engines fire up.
Trudy's C21 appears.
Magnus is it the shuttles cock pit with the pilots.
Magnus calmly "We gotta go now."
One of the pilots "But ..... "
Magnus interrupts, put his pistol to the back of the complaining pilots head, and in chilling tones "Right now."
The shuttle lifts off and the tail ramp closes as the last group of troopers runs in to wards it, to late to go home. We hear angry shouting inside until it seals shut.
Na'vi warriors surround the rear guard left behind. Arrows aimed.
Trudy fires her mini guns on the shuttle and gives chase, but a C21 cannot keep pace with a Valkyrie class shuttle. It pulls away from her, and is gone.
Trud watches it go until it is out of sight.
Trudy now lands on almost exactly spot where the shuttle had been. Mo'at and the Female leader of the Eastern sea tribe are deep in conversation as she touches down.
Trudy unplugs and leaves the cockpit, a moment later she opens the side door.
Assorted wounded, from both sides are loaded, along with Moat and a few warriors to keep order.
Trudy  closes the door , and after a moment reappears at the controls, she fires up the engines they spool up, the rotors spin up and the C21 lifts off, and flies out.
The rear guard left behind watch it go as they are herded away by Na'vi warriors.
Some are on Pa'li including Tsu'tey, he has bandages on one leg, red is showing slightly in places.

Scene 32

Hospital clearing.
Trudy sweep in and lands.
The wounded and others disembark. Trudy and Mo'at look out, but remain inside.
Trudy "So what do think of her." as she pats the hull.
Mo'at "I prefer Ikran," pauses a moment, "but it is not as bad as it looks." smiling.
Trudy closes the door, enters the cockpit, plugs in and when the engines and rotors are up to speed, she takes off and flies out.

Pandoran Humans base.
Aircraft cavern, The C21 flies in and lands near the airlock. Stan comes out as the engines spool down. Mo'at and Trudy exit.
Stan finishes walking around it as trudy closes the side door.
Mo'at walks away to the airlock purposefully.
Stan to Trudy "Welcome back, and congratulations, there's barely a mark on her."
Mo'at approaches enters airlock, puts on endopack mask and goes in. The air traffic control lady is walking past.
Moat to her in english "I need to see Max."
Lady "Follow me."
She leads Mo'at along a corridor to a room full of mostly running link machines, Max is nowhere to be seen.
Lady "Well he was here."
Mo'at "I think he still is."
A section of the end wall opens to reveal another link machine, still running, it has been lengthened, with visible, but neat joins.
Links are all open, except one, clearly longer that the others, and still running. Max has just opened the door.
Mo'at, in native, 'Hello' in english "That was easier than I dared hope."
The oversized link machine powers down and opens, Jake gets out, clearly a little freaked, "They've got Neyiri." in Na'vi, 'Hello Mo'at, have you told Outcast?'
Mo'at in Na'vi "No need, he already knows."
Max Patel "You in the cooler then?"
Jake "Yes."
Max Patel "How was Neytiri doing?"
Jake "Freaked, but She's OK."
Outcast enters the link room.
Mo'at to Outcast "You can look like Tsu'tey, sound like Tsu'tey. But you can't move, or act like Tsu'tey, and you were still wearing your own beads, not those of Tsu'tey, not very convincing."
Outcast "But convincing enough for the humans, Jake too it seems."
Jake, clearly confused "What?"
Outcast "You saw Tsu'tey gunned down, right?"
Jake "Right."
Mo'at "Wrong. You live with us, you learn from us, for how long? And still you do not see."
Jake looking puzzled.
Outcast "The person you saw shot, who's beads were they wearing?"
Jake "So that was you, why?"
Outcast "There's a list of all those they wanted dead, Tsu'tey is right at the top of that list. They wanted you taken alive."
Jake and Max exchange knowing looks.
Outcast "Neytiri is a complication I hadn't foreseen."
Jake "So, how far can the link reach?"
Max Patel "If we boosted the output, and it would be risky, then maybe, just maybe 50,000 miles or so. But not the 26.4 quadrillion miles back to earth."
Mo'at to Outcast "How long would it take you to get there?"
Outcast "If I had my own transport, and I don't, around 14 hours each way."
Mo'at looks at Outcast intently.
Outcast "I can't build one."
Mo'at looks at Outcast intently, now completely in control of the conversation. Showing herself to be the natural leader she is, "How did you make the arrow heads?"
Outcast "Well, OK, I suppose, in theory I could build one, but it would take years."
Mo'at "You have 5 years, 9 months and 29 days. That's when they reach earth."
Outcast, mind blown, "OK, I'll try."
Mo'at looks at Outcast intently. "You need to succeed. You may not put much value in the life of my daughter, but I do."

Cut to montage of flying over parts of Pandora, with credits superimposed.

I have a problem for the next installment. I can't work out how to end it.

I have three different endings all running round in my head:
One is very bleak and a bit preachy.
One is the ultimate tragedy and I would so get lynched.
One is all too happy, and I hate it so much.
Unfortunately they are mutually excluding, so I can't mix them together.

Each ending would pretty much need different setting up, almost from the opening scene.

I need to find something completely different.

I would actually be very happy to see it as a movie. You did a nice job on this one, that's for sure

As for the ending you asked about, i have to say that ending it in all too much happiness for the Na'vi, would spoil the story, and make it too much like a "girls story" (and they lived happily ever after... Yuck!).
But also, having them completely destroyed, would do the same. Balancing between "good" and "bad" ending, favouring the Na'vi, might do the trick i think.

It obvious that i don't know your next story, so i can't go into datails about how or why it should end. Just wanted to give my contribution and thoughts to it

I would be very happy if you could find the time to look at my own story. It's far from finished, and maybe not as good as your story, but it's my first. So i kind of need all the feedback i can get

in my opinion, some tragic contents are always helpful, they fill the story with far more emotions. i already made this experience with my own works, where some readers seem to have started crying while reading them. so i would rather recommend you to use the second possibility for an ending that you have listed, just let it not be all too sad, jake, neytiri and the most of the na'vi on pandora should survive
