Ideas just come to me, some fit nicely into an avatar 2, some would have to be in 3 coz they wouldn't fit into 2.

And that stowaway has a lot to answer for, having them in allows some flexabuility, but also pushes the plot in places too.

Both these scenes were going to be part of scene 7 in my notes, but I feel they need to be a separate scenes.

Max is alone in the link room, he is looking into the ambient room, there is no one in there either. After a moment Jake enters the ambient room from outside.
Jake "Cindy said you wanted a chat."
Max "Yes. People seem to be calling all humans that aren't here, those of us who stayed behind, Earthling's."
Jake sits down on the end of one of the gurneys, tail straight out behind him
Jake "I thought it was kind of funny."
Pause.
Max "They'll be back."
Jake "The Earthling's. Of course. They're not just going to walk away from all this Unobtainium."
Max "They're going to be pretty sore."
Jake "You bet."
Max "I need to know, will they bring nukes?"
Jake "It wouldn't make any sense for them not to bring nukes."
Max "Will they use them?"
Pause.
Jake "If it was up to me I'd send a team to negotiate, promise to play nicely, stay in the existing mine complex maybe, but warn that the
         nukes aren't there just for decoration, in case anyone fancies being a hero."
Max "Think that's how they'll play it?"
Jake "It would be good PR back home. Plus you couldn't fit enough non-nuclear hardware into an ISV's hold to be sure of holding down the
         natives."
Pause.
Max "But they'd use nukes if we fought back."
Jake looks at max, then at the floor, sighs.
Jake "Earth's dying, they're desperate." pause Jake looks at max "How long have you been here?"
Max "I came almost straight from CalTec. 12 years here, 6 in cryo. 18 in total, Earth time."
Jake "Things are getting worse there, especially in the last 5 years, before I left."
Pause.
Max "Your going to be top of any list of people they want dead."
Pause Jake looks thoughtful.
Jake "No, they'll want to take me back to earth, stand trial, treason or crimes against humanity, or something. Need to make it look,
        procedural."
Max "As far as anyone on earth is concerned, you're still a human with a Na'vi avatar."
Jake "They're in for a surprise."
Max "We could use it to our advantage. Give you a human avatar, then daisy chain it to another Na'vi avatar."
Jake "Pretend to be a human playing at being one of Na'vi."
Max "Precisely" pause "Well?"
Jake "What happens when they get back to earth?
Max "Just assume you didn't survive cryo, it's not as common nowadays, but it used to happen more much often."
Jake "I suppose it might give us an edge."
Pause.
Jake "Pity we buried my old body."
Max "No actually, it wouldn't work, an avatar needs...."
Max hesitates, looks awkward.
Max ".... a few, tweeks. Your old body wouldn't work."
Jake "Kehe?"
Max "Trust me it just wouldn't. You said 'Kehe', instead of 'No' . "
Jake with another smile"Did I?"
Max smiles back and nods.
Jake "OK then, it has to be need to know only, the more people who know more chance the Earthlings will find out."
Max "True."
Jake "How many do we need to include?"
Max "Four. You, me, Bill and Cindy."
Jake "Think they'd be up for it?"
Max "We're just waiting for you to say 'yes'. And a sample of Jake Sully DNA""
Jake "Is it doable,  in six years?"
Max "We can refurb' a couple of old avatar transit modules, they're not in short supply, easily modify one for human work. We can crank up
        the accelerated growth, no problem. It's daisy chaining I'm worried about, linking from one avatar into another, in theory we should be
        able to make it work, but we don't know for sure, it's something no one's tried before."
Jake "If it doesn't work?"
Max "We can use the bodies to fake your death."
Jake "You've thought of every thing."
Max "I doubt it."
Jake "I hear your going to make avatar's for Trudy and some others."
Max "We all want one Jake, even Maurice. You don't know how lucky you are, there's roughly 120 billion humans? Only 31 avatars have
        ever been made. Selection is tough, you need at least one phd to even be considered, you need to make a proposal that really shines,
        there's psyc evaluations, and health checks. If you're accepted, you get 18 months intensive training, then you have pass a
        review, there are 20 in a group, only 2 will get avatars, those two get another 18 months further training. But someone just walked up
        to you and said 'here, have an avatar, you leave for Pandora in the morning'."
Jake "It was most of 3 day's but that's pretty much it, yeah." pause, looks at the floor in thought for a moment, looks back at Max "No
         wonder people were a bit funny when I showed up."
Max "Mmm." pause "We're confident we can make 24 of the old tanks go again, if we double up that's easily enough for every one."
Jake "Can..."
Jake is interrupted by the sound of the door at the end of the corridor opening, followed by the footsteps on the metal grid floor, both Max and Jake look to see who's coming. It's Trudy who steps into the link room. Wearing pyjamas under a med bay gown, an eye patch, and bandages here and there.
Trudy "Kalti Jake."
Jake "Kalti Trudy, good to see you up an about again."
Max looking straight at Trudy "She's shouldn't be, she's supposed to be resting for a few more day's yet."
Trudy "I'm bored, stuck down in the med bay. How's life as a blue stripy?"
Jake "Awesome. Best thing that ever happened to me, apart from Neytiri. How are you?"
Trudy "It's starting to seem real, I'm going to be a Mom, Norm's going to be a Dad."
Max "Decided on a name yet?"
Trudy "Not yet, loads of maybe's, but nothing definite. How's Neytiri?"
Jake "She's fine, but I can tell she's jealous of you."
Trudy "Well, she's welcome to the scars, the bandages, cream that smells funny, and being stuck in the med bay. And the eye patch."
Max "Looks good on you, very..." pause "....distinguished."
Jake "Turns out, when one Na'vi lady gets pregnant, other Na'vi women start wanting kids too, just like humans."
Max and Trudy exchange a glance.
Trudy "But I'm not Na'vi."
Jake "OK, so what are you two not telling me?"
Max and Trudy exchange a glance.
Max sighs "Avatars are grown from mostly Na'vi genetic material. With just enough of the drivers DNA to allow the psyonic link to work."
Jake interrupts "I'm a mongrel hybrid, and therefore sterile?"
Max "Maybe. You're in uncharted territory, no one expected avatar fertility to be an issue. If anything the ethics comity would be dead
        against it, can you imagine the trouble if 2 avatars had a child together?"
Awkward silence
Trudy to Jake "How was your cheese burger?"
Jake "Did Norm tell you?"
Max "Cheese burger?"
Trudy to Max "Norm smuggled a cheese burger out of the airlock."
Max, smiling "So, how was your cheese burger?"
Jake "Disgusting, I guess Na'vi taste buds are different to human taste buds."
Max "Sure are, your internal organs are different, body chemistry's different, blood is different, incompatible genetics, axons don't have
        myelin sheaths..."
Max tails off as he realize Jake and Trudy are looking at him.
Jake "I get the picture."
Trudy to Max "I nearly forgot. Message from Cindy, 'she found some', said you'd know what she meant."
Jake and Max exchange knowing glances.
Max "Er, no, actually, I'd better see what she's on about."
Max hurries out of the link room in the direction Trudy came.
Trudy "What was that about?"
Jake "No idea."
Trudy "What are you three up to?"
Jake looks at her with his best attempt at an expression of total innocence.
Trudy "Fine, don't tell me. Norm's been acting kind odd, is he in on it?"
Jake "No, he..."
Jake stops, looks at Trudy, who has a look of triumph.
Trudy "So what are you not telling me?"
Jake "Don't ask."
Trudy "IVF?"
Jake looks awkwardly at the floor.
Trudy "No, something else."
Jake looks at Trudy, stands up, walks over to the window between them and looks her in the eye. Say's, in a serious, yet almost pleading voice "Really, really, don't ask."

Scene 10

Omatakaya encampment.
All dialogue in the following scene is in Na'vi, with subtitles.
Neytiri "You can hunt, fight better than any warrior, you can fly ikran, and toruk. Your Na'vi language is improving. And you're even starting to ride pali better," laughs " you're a long way from being good, but it's a start."
Jake, softly and affectionately "Where are you going with this?"
Neytiri "We are a 'hunter/gatherer' people. Mother say's you need to learn the gathering part."
Neytiri takes 2 long baskets made from closely woven strips, each has a strap that go's from the base to the neck, hands one to jake and slips the other like a quiver, Jake does the same. Neytiri takes a gourd with a wide neck and a lid that ties on with a thong from a small pile of them, she gestures to Jake to do the same. Neytiri checks hers for visible damage, closeness of lid fitting, looks inside for anything that shouldn't be there, and gives it sniff inside too. Jake copies sniff's and looks at Neytiri unsure. Neytiri sniffs Jakes gourd.
Neytiri "That's how they should smell."
Jake looks at her puzzled.
Neytiri "These are for Teylu, They can climb out of even a tiny hole, or chew their way out of most anything if they can not find a
             hole. But, they don't like the taste of this, so they stay inside."
Jake looks amazed.
Neytiri takes one of several more or less identical small objects that hang from a pole that is stuck in the ground, it has many branches all cut to around one Na'vi hand span, on each are hung these objects, some well used looking, some just completed, some in various stages of manufacture. Neytiri slides the outer piece (which serves as a lid and is clearly tight fitting) off the inner, and takes a gentle sniff at the contents, then hold it up for Jake to smell, Jake takes a breathes in deeply.
Jake "Urgh."
Jake cradles his nose in the inside of his elbow, with an expression of shock and revulsion.
Neytiri smiles brightly "I know, but this is the secret of collecting teylu."
Jake "Seriously?"
Neytiri smiles and nods "Come."

Forrest
Jake is following Neytiri. She is looking carefully at the ground most of the time, but looking up and around at the slightest sound. Neytiri stops to examine a bush.
Neytiri "Here, see how the fruit has been eaten, a slot cut in near the top, all the pulp eaten, but from bellow the fruit looks untouched. only a few beetles eats this way, and only one eats this fruit."
Neytiri follows the branch to the stem, follows the stem to the ground, and finds a small, but noticeable animal path at the base. She squats down next to it and points to it with a stick.
Neytiri "We follow this path back to their mound."
Neytiri walks to one side of the path, other branches join it, she is careful not to step to close to them. Occasionally a beetle runs along the path.
Neytiri "They are semi social. When they have young to look after they come together and build a communal nest, which they all defend. When the young emerge from their chrysalis, the adults become solitary, until next year.
Jake and Neytiri come to a point a short distance from a large bare earth mound it looks around 3 feet across and a foot high (proportional to a Na'vi) in the middle, it looks baked.
Neytiri "If we go any closer, the adults will attack, their bites are very painful. But, we have this," Hold up the bamboo pot full of stuff that smells bad " the adults go crazy for it."
Neytiri squats down and empties half of the contents onto the path at what appears to be a main junction of the path network. Then stands back with Jake.
Neytiri "Now we wait."
A beetle runs along the path, stops at the pile for some time, seems to be eating it, then much more slowly continues to the mound,
Neytiri "Watch this."
After a few moments a huge number of the beetles run from the nest to the pile neytiri left. Neytiri waits a few seconds, then walks up to the mound, still careful not to step on any of the paths, jake follows both squat down"
Neytiri "The first one normally stays behind in the mound" hold up the stick "in case he is still in the mood to bite."
Neytiri hits the top of the mound with the side of her fist it makes a clear dull thud,
Neytiri "Nantang know what this sound means, if any are near, they will be here soon, we need to work fast"
She hits the mound again, this time a sizable chunk breaks away, she lifts one edge to reveal the inside is a heap of dried leaves and twigs,
Pointing to a large number of small orange and brown grubs on the underside.
Neytiri "Where there are teylu, these will be there also, they are not edible"
Neytiri sweeps of the top layer with the stick and uncovers the teylu, A beetle is holding the end of the stick firmly in its jaws. Neytiri holds this up fir Jake to see.
Jake "He was in the mood to still bite."
Neytiri jams the stick in the ground beetle end up, takes the gourd, un-caps it and scoops up the larvae, when full she puts the lid on and lashes it down care fully, Jake fills his gourd and ties his lid down, Neytiri replaces the broken away section of baked looking mud, pulls up the stick and lays it on the top of the mound with the beetle right way up.
Jake "What about the rest of the teylu, there's so much left."
Neytiri "Take too many and you destroy the balance of life. Now we leave, before any viper wolves come."
Jake follows Neytiri for some distance, over a stream. They climb up a half fallen tree which provides access to the canopy.
Jake "You believe that's why we killed our world."
Neytiri changes to speak in english, Jake follows her lead.
Neytiri "You tell me. I have never been there, I do not expect I ever will. I have only seen 2 pictures of Earth. And Jakesully was the only sky person I ever really knew."
Jake, puzzled "Was?"
Neytiri smiling "He is not a sky person any more."
Both laugh.
Neytiri leads jake along several branches, they come to a large pod hanging close to their brach, it is the same color and texture as the trunks of the trees.
Neytiri reverts to speaking Na'vi, Jake again follows her lead.
Neytiri "This one is not ripe yet."
They continue, another pod, this one is starting to shed chunks of bark, showing it's blue and red/brown mottled and smooth underneath.
Neytiri "This one will be ready in 4 or 5 days."
They continue, they come to a leaf skeleton version of another pod.
Neytiri "Around 64 days ago this was harvested, it will fall soon. Never walk below one of these vines."
They continue, another pod, this one has the same color and markings as an Ikran.
Neytiri "Now you can see why they are called Ikran fruit. This one will be ready tomorrow."
A little further is another pod that has split open, Neytiri inside cautiously. Jake looks at her inquiringly.
Neytiri "Things that bite and sting like to hide in there some times, nothing I can see this time."
Neytiri slips her hand in carefully and breaks out something inside, she brings out a cream colored flat disc, like a giant lentil.
Neytiri "This is OK to eat now, but it will not be when we get back."
Neytiri breaks it in half, hands one half to Jake, and takes a bite of her half, Jake takes a bit, it is nice.
Jake "Mmm."
Neytiri "That is it's best, tomorrow it would be black slime you can not eat"
Neytiri continues eating enthusiastically, but jake is a little hesitant for the next few mouthfuls, Ikran fruit lentil finished. Neytiri breaks out the remaining discs, one at a time, filling first Jakes basket, then her own. tying a thong over the top gently to stop them falling out.
Neytiri "We take these back now."
On the forrest floor now, Something flies round them. Brightly colored undersides to the wings, but the rest is a dull dirty grey, Miniature Toruk in shape, around the size of a pigeon (proportionately).
Neytiri "She has a gift for us."
The creature flies a short distance, then waits for Jake and Neytiri to catch up.
Neytiri "Come see."
The creature leads them this way a distance, then lands on the ground, and starts biting and pulling at a dried twig on the ground, Jake looks puzzled, and not overly impressed.
Neytiri "Very hard to see with out her help."
Neytiri follows the twig back to where it comes out of the ground, then cuts the moss, and peels it right back, the stats scooping the dry sandy soil away with her hands, jake joins in more from solidarity that anything else to start with, they uncover a roughly spherical object, around the size of a beachball (proportionately), with a growth on one side, 2 to 3 times the size of a Na'vi fist, Neytiri carefully cuts this off, shows Jake the inside, it is crawling with bright green grubs. Neytiri empties out the grubs onto the ground half way between the beachball root and where the creature has perched, she then takes 4 grubs and places them back in. Returns to Jake and the root,
Neytiri "We return 4, its another balance of nature thing, the rest are for her, we get the root. She has a different deal with viper wolves."
She binds the cut off lump back onto where she cut it from, then cuts away the half of the root ball away from the the worms nest chamber, then cuts that in half, then breaks the pieces into it's thin segments, she paces 4 strides away from the root ball, buries one segment, returns, paces out and buries anther, at roughly each compass point,
Neytiri in english and dripping with sarcasm "The Nar-vee are beginning to develop rudimentary agriculture."
Neytiri lashes half the remaining segments and sling them on to her shoulder, Jake lashes the rest together, with a little difficulty, and gently slings them over his shoulder.
Neytiri happy, and again in Na'vi "Home."

This is pretty much what I had in mind when I fist thought of PaSHa. Hair is wrong, too young to really, but otherwise ...

I have an idea for a short story to follow A3 also, it wouldn't make another film, just a short story.

Ah, good - I was hoping I hadn't missed something...

Only stuff you might have missed was what they did after vaporizing the real Steve the cleaner. And after the maintenance was finished, what went onto the shuttle, but didn't come off again.

OK so here is a rough draft of scene 11, a montage with voice over, I still can't decide on who's voice to have, but I am leaning toward Jake.


Scene 11

(Six years pass)
Montage with voice over. You still do not see the stowaways face.

Stow away putting paint onto the (now in primer) hinges of the aft emergency airlock.
Voice over "It didn't seam like six years, seemed pass too quickly, We all got on with our lives."
Max, new batch of avatars in tanks, all 2 avatars per tank, Trudy (now noticeably pregnant) and holding hands with human Norm, is looking at one, the size of a domestic cat.
Voice over "The white coats made avatars for each and every human."
Max alone in another space with two tanks, one containing an avatar, the other is different, different color liquid, and a human baby.
Voice over "Plus some more they kept secret."

Early construction of new base for Pandora humans, mining equipment carving out tunnels and chambers.
Voice over "The construction team found a good site for the new human settlement, work started as soon as the locals gave permission."

All human women, Trudy, looking very pregnant, Cindy, Air traffic controller, a few others, including an aircraft tech and a site maintenance worker (both in overalls) in Hells Kitchen all talking about something in hushed tones, with lots of laughter.
Jake being fitted for a suit, Trudy approves and Human Norm agrees.
Later, the human women, looking smart or smart casual, the two maintenance tech's looking very different, are back in Hell's kitchen, drinking hard. A tanned muscular Sec-For trooper (the only trooper to stay behind) in uniform turns up, a stripper!
Avatar Norm, Jake the other male Avatars plus Max in an exopack are in the avatar compound dorm. Blue stripies are drinking something from a large gourd, Na'vi home brew. Max is drinking something else, human alcohol, using a straw that passes through a fitting in his exopack.
Norm and Trudy's wedding, Jake (in an endopack) is best man, wearing a suit! ceremony is on the maintenance bay, external doors closed, Navi are in an area with an all glass wall, so they are part of the congregation (friends of the groom). The other Avatar drivers and Max are groom's side, with the Na'vi, but out side the Pandora atmosphere section. The other humans are Brides' side. Photo's, Trudy throws bouquet, over the group of hopefuls, Neytiri catches it, Neytiri looks at Jake with a smile, then throws it into the group of hopeful women, this time it is caught by the female site maintenance tech, she looks at one of the male site maintenance tech's, the other tech's around him laugh and point at him, he blushes.
Voice over "The wedding, was talked about for years. Still is occasionally"

Na'vi are exploring other potential new home tree's, Tsutey and Mo'at reject one after another, finally a suitable one is found.
Ceremonial lighting of fire pit, (with a fire plow). Tree of souls encampment emptied, nothing is left behind that wasn't there before the encampment. Everything moved to new hometree.
Voice over "After much searching, the Omatakaya chose a new hometree."

Trudy gives birth, a baby girl, then tucked up in bed with baby, Max fills out something on screen, he blocks our view of it, camera zooms in, he moves away, showing that it's an on screen birth certificate:

We cut to the Na'vi, meal time, Tsu'tey has Peyral beside him, Jake and Neytiri are on one side, Mo'at is on the other.
Voice over "The Omatakaya got used to life with an Eyktan and a Tsahik who were not a mated pair."

Stow away taking a book from the ISV's library, climbing up, ship stops accelerating, stowaway becomes weightless, now floats on - where ever they are going.
Voice over "We knew earth would send more humans to retake pandora, but we did not know what they would bring with them."

Science types continuing lab work, someone in an exopack watering plants in a poly tunnel.
Norm is continuing the study of tree roots and signal transduction, taking samples, examining them under microscopes, analyzing results on a view screen, discussing onscreen data with several different humans including Max and Stan.
Voice over "The science types continued with their research."
A C21-dragon hover taxi's into Hells Gate maintenance bay, lands. Getting out is Trudy, without eye patch, but with a big smile on her face (as well as an exopack) human Norm, also in exopack, welcomes her back with a hug and kiss (both press lips against the inside of their exopack visor), both turn to see Cindy with Esparanza (looking around 2 years old), both at a window waving, Trudy and Norm hurry to an airlock near the window, to reunite the family.
Voice over "Stan and the team completed the first C-21 after 28 months, and had the second completed inside 22"

Pasha is giving another archery demo, followed by a Q&A session. When the group leave, she slips on an over sized lab coat and exopack. Pasha in a lab doing science, looking down microscope, making notes. Bethany is working on something else on the far side of the lab and several other scientists are working here too.
Voice over "Many of us wondered about earth, and what untold events would unfold in our absence."

A frost covered view screen on ISV Promethius bridge shows her traveling toward ISV Venture Star on what appears to be a collision course.
Stowaway, finishes another book, floats to the library, takes another, floats back to an escape pod. Inside the cramped cabin, two tool boxes and a canister (nearly 2 feet in diameter by roughly two and a half feet long, obsidian with dull metal end plates, one end is featureless, the other has lights and what appears to be some kind of computer hook-up point) are carefully strapped onto seats.
The frost covered view screen on ISV Promethius bridge shows her passing ISV Venture Star at great distance, outside view showing one ISV in the foreground slipping slowly past the camera, in the far distance a tiny ISV flashes past in the opposite direction.
Voice over "From time to time someone would wonder what would happen to those who returned on the Venture Star."
Deep space. Reverse fly through of debris field, nuclear warheads, boxes of ammunition, some spilled open, arrow prof body armor jackets, pieces of stereo lithography plant and everything else the stowaway tossed out Promethius's aft airlock. Clears field, camera turns around, focuses on Venture Star, approaching fast.
Voice over "We felt sure we could guess."
Venture Star colliding with debris, front shield absorbing most small items, a larger piece penetrates, doing damage to parts of the ISV, but miraculously missing all the important bits.

Construction of new base for Pandoran humans/Avatars continues. Fly though, showing extensive tunnels with chambers leasing off, some small, some large. Finish in a huge chamber. A group of humans, Max, the construction team chief, senior site maintenance tech', Stan, Trudy, Bill and a couple of others, all are discussing some paper plans, spread out on a pile of construction materials.
Voice over "Things pretty much just ticked along quietly. Until Norm tried to contact the dead."

Trudy + Esperanza (looks around 4 years old)
Norm, Max, Stan, Cindy in lab, sitting round a console, it's access panels off, cables all over, extra equip plugged in and piled up, something has been hung together.
Norm in headphones, holding coffee, plays around with controls, finishes coffee, plays around with controls again. Stops dead, frozen, hearing Na'vi voices, laughter.
Jakesully wedged in corner and wearing an endopack, "The voices of the ancestors. They live, within Eywa."
Norm looks at Jakesully in wonder.
Norm sits bolt upright dropping his cup, plays frantically with the controls, moves plugs around from socket to socket,
"Sorry, can you [pause] can you say that again?"
Grace Augustine laughs, in a friendly voice "I said 'Hey there, you guy's'.[pause] I like what you put on my head stone."
All look at each other...

He's good at voiceovers, if his voice for the movie doesn't lapse into the Australian accent like it did a few times in the movie.

That's odd, I never noticed that :/, perhaps because I'm not American.

I did notice Mo'at sounds Welsh in one scene (I can't remember which line but it's in the scene when Jake appears as Toruk Makto). Though she's not actually Welsh so it must be the accent she's putting on sounding Welsh to my ears :p

EDIT: It's actually "she must pass through the eye of Eywa" in the grace body transfer scene I was thinking of that sounds Welsh, I'm pretty certain that was the line, but I'll check when I finally get the movie...

Scene 12

ISV Prometheus
Close up of closed eyelids, camera pulls back slowly, muscles in the face contract, a momentary expression of discomfort, the eyes open slowly, the face is Hegner's, floating in front of his face water droplets, a sound of the cryo unit unlocking, then the tray slides open.
The cryo vault is dark, and cold. The moisture in Hegne's breath condenses in the cold, making his breath visible. Hegner shivers, rubs himself to keep warm.
The person on the other side of the tray says
Other person"What the foxtrot?"
Hegner "Malfunction I guess, we must still be in cruise. I'm Hegner, I didn't get your name."
Other person "Lieutenant Hurwitz. Engines have shut down."
Hegner "So what now?"
Other person, now identified as 'Lieutenant Hurwitz', "Recon and asses the situation."
Hegner and Hurwitz start to unstrap them selves. It's hard, with fingers still numb. Hegner manages first, slips round to help Hurwits.
Hegner "Lets find out what the frick's going on."
Hurwitz floats himself to the view port, after a moment "We're there, in orbit around pandora."
Lights come on, a warm blast from the ventilation ducts.
Both look around in surprise, then look at each other.
Hegner "Someone's reprogrammed the cryo units, and wanted us to wake up 6 minutes before everyone else? Here they come."
All the other cryo units unlock at the same moment, then all the other trays slide out together.
Hurwitz "This gets odder and odder."
Hegner and Hurwitz attend to the others. One by one, many gather at the view ports, after a few moments someone floats up to the crowd, taps someone else on the shoulder gently,
Messenger "Chief, one of the escape pods is gone."
Chief "What?"
Messenger "Better come take a look."
Camera follows the messenger and the chief  to the row of open  escape pod access hatches, one is closed, the missing escape pod.
Chief "Oh jeez, that's going to need some..."
A second messenger floats up and interrupts "Chief, some one has been at the aft airlock hatch."
Chief "What do you mean 'been at' the aft airlock hatch?"
Second messenger "You need to see for your self."
Chief, to the group around the closed hatch "I want a full report on the escape pod, ASAP."
Camera follows the messenger and the chief  to the Aft emergency airlock. A pair of legs is hanging out of an access panel next to the hinge side of the inner hatch. A large number of parts are floating in a tethered net bag,
Chief see's hinges "You got to be kidding me."
Owner of the pair of legs ducks out just enough to see the chief.
"Someone made a real nice job of this."
Chief "What next?"
A third messenger floats up and interrupts "We have freight missing."
Chief "I'd better come see." to the group at the airlock "Full report. Yesterday."
The first messenger floats up and interrupts "That'll have to wait. Captain wants everyone by their cryo for a roll call, right now. The PA is down."
Third messenger "I'll inform personnel in cargo." and floats off, presumably back to the cargo holds.
Camera follows everyone else back to the Cryo vaults, woman gives them looks, then begins calling out names.
Cut to crewman pulling himself along a corridor as fast as he can, round a few corners, in to the cryo hall, perfectly timed as the woman calls
"Rockwell!"
Rockwell, Panting a little "Here! Sorry I was in the tail."
She gives him a very nasty look before continuing, as rockwell takes up position in one of the only two gaps.
"Rothemburg!"
Rothemburg "Here!"
Roll call continues...
As it comes to an end the first officer floats in, he waits until she is done, floats up whispers something into here ear, she looks at him in surprise.
"ISV crew to your stations. Sec-For, cargo holds. Librarian and avatar drivers, library. Stock take, right now."
All file out Hegner hangs back a little, and is only in front of the woman because she clearly wants to make sure no one is left behind.
Camera follows Hegner as he floats to the library, only the librarian is there ahead of him, but they are joined quickly by two others. The two new comers look at Hegner not recognizing him.
One of these two, a young skinny, nerdy looking lady introdues herself.
Janice "Hi, my name is Janice, I'm an avatar driver."
The other a more muscular, young man, the less nerdy looking of the two.
Ralph "My name is Ralph Bernstein, and I'm an avatar driver."
Kyle "My name is Kyle Murdock, and I'm a Librarian."
All three now look at Hegner expectantly.
Hegner "Hegner, can we get on with the stock take now?"
Janice "I heard stories about the early days, there was a driver called Hegner."
Hegner "I heard the a lot of those stories too, most of them are more or less true."
Ralph "Those fairy stories are all lies to keep you from going astray."
Hegner "I don't think so."
Ralph "How would you know?"
Kyle "Same Hegner."
Ralph is stunned, and Janice is surprised too.
Hegner "Stock take?"
Kyle "I have two screens, so we pair off. Hegner, shall we?"
Hegner looks serious, and gives a single firm nod. Kyle holds out the second touch screen, Janice takes it.
Kyle "We'll start that end, you start the other, meet you in the middle."
Ralph and Janice look at each other for a moment, then go to the book at the left hand end of the top shelf of the first bank. Ships tech' manuals.
Short montage of books being checked by both pairs, Hegner and the librarian have completed five shelf units as Ralph and Janice finnish their third
Kyle "Find anything missing?"
Janice "No, did you?"
Hegner "No, nice to know we weren't wasting our time."
Ralph "I expect Captain was hoping for some insights into the stowaway's psyche."
Hegner "I think the captain wants us out of the way, our new douche bag can't blackmail Jake and Na'vi with stuff if they know it's been trashed or dumped into deep space."
Janice, slightly embarrassed "I thought that too."
Kyle "I'm with Janice."
Ralph, deflated "So what now?"
Kyle "Read a Book? I think there's enough to go around."
Cut to the four quietly reading. Janice has nearly finished Grace Augustines book on Pandoran botany. Ralph has nearly finished 'Percy Jackson And The Sea of Monsters' Kyle is trying to read 'Dune Messiah', and give Hegner evil looks at the same time, he hasn't read much of his book. Hegner is reading 'The Na'vi' (from Avatar1), sniggering at bits of it, crossing things out, making notes in the margins and occasionally laughing out loud, all things that librarians hate.
Hurwitz pokes his head around the entry hatchway.
Hegner "Let me guess, all the things we aren't supposed to know about have been hidden, so it's safe for us to come out now."
Hurwitz "You're putting words in my mouth, but yeah, that's about the size of it. Oh, and food substitute is now being served in the mess."
Hegner "Anything else you can't tell us?"
Hurwitz "They're scouting around Hells Gate as we speak, they want you 3" hesitates a moment "in position, soon as."
