Dea M Smith

Dea Was walking in the woods as he looked up at the Hallelujah Mountains. it was something that was not so big to him. After years of being here he seem like to just forget about it. He became to understand and how many things work. But he just didn't care about the things like the Hallelujah Mountains or the woods. All that was on his mind was a female Na'vi. He came with the 450 drop team and was a bit unhappy on how thing came to. But it was something that he had seen to much of and went on his own. He saw many things here and started to feel a bit of hope coming back to him. But it may be to late for any of that. This war was taking a tune on him and it seem like he no longer care about it.
Aya'qis looked around Hometree for a moment, and, seeing she wasn't needed, decided to go for a fly. Walking out to a high point, she waited for her Ikran to arrive. As predicted, it arrived a moment later, and she quickly joined with the animal, and, jumping on its back, soared off in the direction of the Halleluja Mountains. The floating lands were her favorite place to explore, and she often went there in her spare time.

As she approached the Mountains, however, Aya saw a man walking in the woods below her. Due to her heightened sense of sight, she recognized him as the Human she had somewhat befriended. Her Ikran flew to the ground, and landed slightly in front of him. A moment too late, she realized that her sudden appearance might frighten him. Too late to do anything about it, she simply jumped down from the animal's back, and, disconnecting with the animal, walked up to the man. Freed, the Ikran flew off to join the rest of its kind.

After adjusting her bow on her back, Aya'qis took a deep breath before speaking to the human in an accented English, "Wandering around alone can be very dangerous for someone such as you."

Dea just looked on at her. Nothing frighten him anymore. It seem like he was no long in the world as he kept walking but her voice pulled him back into Real life." Good Day To you Aya'qis. And Yes I know Walking around here is dangerous for me but I'm still alive.'' Dea said as a small laugh came from him. As he walked her to her his weapons clang and sway to his movement.

So Aya'qis why are you all The way over here? Something wrong? '' Dea Asked as he got close to her with a smile. she was someone he trust and was able to be him self around her. it was taboo to have feelings for the Na'vi so he dare not say anything to them of human feelings. But for him it was a bit of light in his dark world he calls a soul.

Aya'qis laughed slightly at his first comment, "not for long, if you make so much noise." she whispered the much used remark. It wasn't the first time she had commented on the noise he made as he walked. Compared to the People, all the Humans were extremely noisy.

Hearing his second statement, or should i say questions, Aya shook her head. "Nothing's wrong. I just enjoy flying around here sometimes, enjoying the view and such. I never quite get over the way the forest looks from high on the back of an Ikran." she said, though she knew he wouldn't understand the feeling. None of the Humans could understand what it was like to fly above the forest on the back of an animal such as the creature who just flew away.

You're Right. I do make to much noise.'' Dea said as he put his hands on the set of twin blades and the stops moving. And He sighed as she Talked about flying over the woods. To us humans we lost that part of life as we took to the air along time ago.'' You may be right. But Not all Humans are not as bad as you think.'' He said as he looked around.'' Sometimes we just forget to stop and look around us. but........''He stop and looked back to her.'' Why dont you show me then?''He asked as he smiled at her. He was someone that laugh at death and many other things. but he wanted to see the world from her view somehow.

But as he said this he tuned around and started to walk away.'' Never mind. I forgot I had to do something. It was nice to see you again Aya'qis.'' He said as he walk farther into the woods. But it was a slow walk. it seem like he didn't want to do what he was paid to do. This world he was on started to feel like a home to him and it hurt him.

Kal'torac mentally guided her Ikran partner into a light bank, narrowly skimming past the peak of one of the Hallelujah mountains. She breathed in the fresh mountain air, thankful that she could come here without fear of humans coming in on their Steel-Dragon-Ships and disturbing her peace. She descended in a shallow spiral, taking her time before emerging out of the mists to scan the forest floor below. A flash of blue caught her eye, and she looked down to see a human walking away from one of her people. Her eyes narrowed as she dove down, releasing the bond and jumping off her Ikran 20 feet above the ground. She landed in front of the human and folded her arms, "And by what right is a human able to breath as Na'vi?" She spoke in a heavily accented English, then turned to the Na'vi, whom she recognized as Aya'qis. "Be careful with whom you walk, dear sister. How fare you?" She spoke in the Na'vi language simply to spite the human.
Sometimes we have to show our spirits, and other times we have to show our hearts.

When we get to the end, we're really back at the start.

Dea watch as the other Na'vi went over to Aya'qis And he took in what the Na'vi said. Dea had been trying to learn the language of the Na'vi for some time now. but it was a bit hard to under stand it. But was getting some it down. Dea stood there and waited for them to stop talking so he could say something to them.

Aya'qis turned her head to face the newcomer whom she soon recognized to be Kal'torac. Answering her question in their native tongue, Aya said, "Very well, my sister, and you?" Curious as to whether the human could understand them or not, the female risked a glance in the man's direction. It was then that she remembered his comment to her. "I would show you, but I fear a human such as yourself would never understand." her voice held more venom than she meant in her tone, and she imediately regretted it. She did not apologise, however, for she meant what she had said.

Kal'torac nodded to Aya, "I am well; the sounds and scents of the Mountains have rejuvenated me." She turned with her sister to look at the human, nodding at Aya's words, "She speaks truth. You humans have spent so much time among your machines and your ships that you have forgotten what it is like to be one with the forest." She added in Na'vi, " Impertinant pigs..." She turned to Aya once more and said, "I am wary; are we safe in the mother tongue? Can it understand?" She said under her breath, using 'it' to down-class the human further.
Sometimes we have to show our spirits, and other times we have to show our hearts.

When we get to the end, we're really back at the start.

Risking another glance at the human, Aya answered her sister's question "I do not know. I believe the human might understand a little of what we are saying, yet I know he does not fully understand." She looked up at the Mountains above, and smiled, remembering all the good times she's had there.

Kal'torac's eyes narrowed as she glanced back at the human. He disgusted her. He was not only human; he was a male. Males, even those of the Na'vi, had a tendency to overreact and judge too quickly, or to misinterpret things and then overreact. It was the reason she was not attracted to males; females were, except in extreme circumstances, level headed thinkers and calm negotiators, and Na'vi females held the same importance as men in society. Clearly, they were better. Kal'torac spoke quietly and quickly, "A little is too much, dear sister.....Tread carefully." She turned to the human, her voice ringing out, loud in comparison, "A question; Why is a human able to breath the blessed air of Pandora? Do my eyes fail me, or do you not have a breathing machine?" She inquired; this fact disturbed her greatly.

When we get to the end, we're really back at the start.

Nodding, Aya replied, "Same to you, sister. If anybody at Hometree inquires, I shall be back before dark." she added the last part, though it was extremely unnecessary. All of the Na'vi knew that she would be back in time to sleep. She did not, however, comment on the first part of Kal's responce because she did not necessarily agree. She had somewhat befriended the human, though she would never tell any of the People that.

Aya'qis then turned to face the human as well, curious to hear his answer to the other Na'vi's question.

It's one of the things we humans have something called Adaptation. To Become one with whats around us.It had been like that for as the human race was alive. I for my self was apart of the first to come to this world. And I do under stand a but of your mother tongue you called it. Dea Said with a smile as he looked at the both of them. He did not care what they said for he knew they were right.

But I do wish to see The woods from the sky. or am I over stepping my bonds here? Dea ask as he walked over to the two of them. His body did not make any noise this time. It was is he fix something on him.

Looking at the man in suprise, Aya'qis was shocked to find that she didn't find him to be overstepping any sort of boundries by asking such an innocent type question. "I do not know if my Ikran would allow it, but if he will, you may fly with me." She offered, dispite knowing that all of her People would frown upon it.

Then I'll Take you up on that offer And come with you. If Thats okay.Dea Said as he smiled. He was trying to be as nice as he can. He wanted to show the Na'vi That not all humans were as bad as they are. He wanted this war to come to an end. But he dare not show any signs of of falling in love with Aya'qis. it was hard at times but he can hold out for a bit.

Dea run up to her and The Ikran and jumped on behind her and nodded to her to go when she was read. Dea Had has Camera out and ready for anything to get on some film. Okay when your ready lets go. Dea was happier then normal. It was the first time he got to spend some time with her.

Aya'qis let out a small laugh at the sight of the man sitting behind her with a camera out. "You might want to hold on. In case you haven't noticed, there are no seatbelts." she smiled as she told the Ikran to take off. Deciding to give the human a flight to remember, she asked the animal to do a series of fun, yet slightly frightening, stunts. Soon they were flying around the Mountains, flipping and rolling to avoid crashing into the forest around them.

Dea Laugh. It was like he was in a jet again but with out any weapons on it. it felt more free and fun. He moved His camera. He was trying to get some good shoots and see many things but everything was moving so fast. He saw the Hallelujah Mountains in a better. It was like he had wings of his own. Is that all? I seen better flying from birds.! Dea said laughing and having a good time. it wasn't every day he got to let go and had fun. The last time he had fun was five days before that fateful day of death on blood. but he forgot all most everything from that day. But when he was with Aya'qis he some how find it better to forget everything and think back to his old life.

It's authorized by my self. it's something I'm doing on my own and I doing it for my new book i'm making. I see no reason to get mad now is there? Dea had to make something up so no one will know about his days with Aya'qis. it was hard to hide it from everyone but he was able to so far. Besides I have a high level to do what i want. so you should be happy I'm here. I Can help out a bit. Dea said with a smile as he started to walk over to the boxes and looks over them. He had to tune things his way and make some time up so that Aya'qis and the other get out of here. so where do theses boxes go?

Grace's response was scathing, and she was unmoved. By now there were whispers from a lot of the soldiers, who knew about Grace's alarming temper.

"A high position person such as you should be doing something productive! A book indeed. Perhaps I should speak to the general about his picture taking captain who should be managing his troops? Don't touch that!!!" Grace fumed, shooing Dea away from the boxes, "I don't need any more idiot soldiers touching my stuff. Now, you go stand somewhere you won't get in the way."

Grace gave Dea a light shove on his chest to get him out of the way and then glared at the soldiers, "Well, get moving!"

The soldiers hurried to do so.

Dea started to laugh at her remarks. It was funny to him and did as she said. Now now. Ma'am you dont need to be all cazzy over things like this, And the general cant do anything, I'm on other orders from much higher ups. Besides The more the marry right? I want to help too. I'm board and want to see what your up to. I may be of some help. Dea was havering fun as he talked to her and want to see what she will do after herring him say all this. but Dea had more on his mind and wanted to be with Aya'qis. But then something happen to dea. He started to have a sharp pain in his head and then he saw something in his sight but it didn't make any sense to him
Flash Back
As the pain stop he looked around and went over to a tree to set down and think,

Grace's eyebrows rose in disbelief."Higher ups? Orders from someone higher up to take pictures?"

Grace scoffed, looking balefully out at everyone. At Dea's second statement Grace quipped, "It is not the more the merrier. I do not need more idiots with guns. Where's your hovercraft anyways? Did you really just leave it?"

Huh? What? Come again? Yea it's on the other side but a tree fell on it so i'm here to stay if you don't mind. Besides I'm not an Idiot with a gun. I'm an Idiot with blades too. Dea said with a laugh as he rubbed his head and looked around. Be sides I want to know what you're doing up here so I will hang out for a bit. and see what will come. Dea got up and looked around and smiled as he tuned around and made a small sighed hopping his lie will get him pass this and everyone will just move on. But as he thinks back the little pain in his head may him think about who he was or in this case what he is.

"You've got to be joking." Grace moaned to herself with another exasperated sigh, "Let me get this straight. A tree fell on your hover craft. In the Hallelujah Mountains. Where trees are sparse."

Grace paused a moment, narrowing her eyes at Dea. It wasn't that she didn't trust him. She was just exasperated. She wasn't here to baby sit a captain that was stupid enough to get his hovercraft smashed by a tree. Still, he was human, and Grace wasn't about to hurl him off the edge.

An explosive sigh came out of Grace as she finished, "I cannot believe your luck. You just sit there and stay put.

aaww Don't be like that. I can be some help. I mean i was trying not to smash into things but I never did know how to fly one. I guess I'm just lucky in a way. So now can you tell me whats going on and why your up here. I did tell you why i was here . Dea said as he followed her and wanted to now more. it was a shame that dea couldn't be a part of the Avatar job. He could have been able to tell Aya'qis how he felt about her. but he didn't make the cut or he didn't know anything on how to enter it. But he didn't let that get to him. So how long are we staying here?

Location: Hallelujah Mountains

« Grace Augustine »

"Oh heck no. You stay away from my stuff. And we're staying here for three weeks, maybe more. You on the other hand, are staying until the base is set up. Then I'm shipping all the idiots back to HQ" Grace said, her voice filled with spice. She wasn't quite snapping anymore, but she was still irriated, there was no doubt about it. And she sure wasn't afraid of making things clear. The rest of the fighters weren't staying, and he wouldn't. There would be a single guard though, an altered. Dea was not going to stay.

Oh I bet I can stay if I make a call or two. Dea said as he laughed a but. and took a seat on the ground next to one of the boxes that where off loaded and watch as everyone was working hard. Besides I just walk from one side to the other or run in this case but i may be of some help to you and your work. And I want to know more about this world. Dea said as he got up and walked over to a tree and started to climb it. Besides if your stay mad like that your face will get old and winkle. And we don't want that now do we?

For a moment, Grace was speechless. This captain, he had spunk. And a desire to die. Say that to any other of the females here, and they would punch the living daylights out of Dea, captain or not. Grace however, wasn't vain. She was happy with being smart. So instead of doing what most people would have done, she simply replied "Yeah. I can make a few calls too. You do your job Mr. Captain, and I'll do mine. You learn more about this world by reading books, not by hanging around and getting in the way. This is something that researchers spend five or more years training for, and I don't care who you are and what you want. You're not staying."

Grace angled herself towards Dea while she said this, a wry smile painted on her face. That was her final say. She never had any soldiers around save a single guard when she went out on expedition, and this was not going to be the first exception.

Oh Come now. I have done things that you wish for. And reading books does not take you to places like this. Dea yelled as he reach a branch and sat on it looking around. besides this place make me feel warm and happy. what do you now about things like this. Dea said in a low tone so no one can hire him. it was a bit sad that he could not stay but he was going to stay not matter what and there was nothing this old hag can do he thought. If I told what what i was up to will you take me into your crew? Dea said as he yelled down to her and smiled.

Grace scoffed at Dea as she tilted her head up to look at him, "That's unlikely."

Grace rolled her eyes at Dea's next statement, "Dream on Captain. You've got your duties to go to, remember?"

Grace was not particularly adept at reading emotions, but she caught a flash of rebellion in the Captain's face. It was an unbelievably childish reaction, and Grace's lips lifted in the merest shadow of a sneer. It was an automatic response, something Grace rarely ever checked. In fact, she almost never held back her opinions.

What taking photos? Ha! thats funny. Dea started his way down and run up to Grace. As he went up to her he pull he away a bit and talked in a low voice. What if i say I didn't come by hover craft. You did see some Na'vi Hunters on your way here right? Dea said as he steeped back as to see what she wood do.

Grace narrowed her eyes ever so slightly at Dea's comments, although she rolled her eyes again at his picture statement. She jerked away as if electrocuted by his contact, but allowed him to speak. "Go on..."

Grace's mind was churning. If he didn't come here by hover craft then....?

I dont want to talk around others and I did say to my self i wont tell others but. Dea walked up to her and in a low voice said. I befriend one of the Na'vi and i was ridding with her up here. And she was showing me around before i saw your team here. I didn't want them coming this way and starting a fight. Dea said as he step back and looked at her and handed her his small black high-tech Camera. Here Take a look if you want to see if I'm telling the truth.

Ignazio stepped onto the landing platform, his hair whipping around his face as the hovercraft landed noisily onto the platform. His face was blank of emotion as he observed the pilot clambering out and doing some checkups. The hover craft was quickly refueled, its weapons okayed.

Then Ignazio stepped up to the craft, nodding to the pilot who saluted back. Ignazio strapped in and then the hovercraft took off into the pristine skies. Ignazio took a deep breath. He had been assigned to protect a certain research base, last minute, which was why he would be arriving late.

Ignazio mildly wondered why he was being sent on this. Still, it wasn't a strange order. Although he was squad leader for the altered, it was a loose position. All the altered were technically capable of belonging to more than one squad. So even as leader, Ignazio could be called on missions such as these.

From what he had been briefed on, Grace Augustine had gone to the famous Hallelujah mountains to do last minute research. The agency was afraid that tensions with the Na'vi would bring her under danger. Although she wasn't much loved, she was important enough to be sent a guard.

And Ignazio was that guard, like it or not.

Dea looked over to the left and thought he had herd something then he went back to look at Grace and waited to see what see will do. it was a bit sad that he had to say all this just to stay but he had to do it.

Grace Augustine was not happy. At all. The very moment Dea stopped speaking Grace exploded. She threw Dea's camera, sending it skidding across the grass and ending up dangerously close to the ledge. Grace looked terrifying, and once again, all the soldier's stopped their tasks to look at this spectacle, "You befriended a Na'vi? What do you mean, you befriended a Na'vi? What are you doing around the Na'vi in the first place? Do you have any idea how much danger you were in? No, I could have cared less. Do you have any idea about how badly you could have ruined diplomatic relations?"

All of this was miraculously in one breath, and Grace still wasn't done yet, "This is exactly why I loathe trigger happy soldiers. You have no brains! No idea of how delicate things are! All you see is what you want to see! God!

At this point, Grace had stepped almost uncomfortable close to Dea, shouting in his face. However, she kept her voice low enough that it would travel far, seeking not to draw attention from the Na'vi. But there was no doubt about it, her mild irritation had busted into a full grown anger, and there was no getting away from it now.

Now now now. It's not what you think. it's just some alone time one on one. in away. but I did nothing to upset the diplomatic relations with them. And besides it's nothing to worry about. Dea said as he hoped over to get his camera and sigh as he looked at it to see if it stilled work. Besides it's a nice thing right? I think she's still here i dont know.

Kasa'li had nodded when she was told that the other Navi were landing. It disturbed her a bit to see a Navi and a human apparently so friendly with each other but she didn't complain. Instead, she directed her Ikran to a different part of the mountains, especially after seeing the humans helicopter. She landed and desided to wait. Maybe some of the Navi would want to talk to her, probably not. She broke the connection to her Ikran and reclined in the grass on the mountain, this was where she wanted to be when night fell. Slowly, gently she drifted into a light sleep. Alert, yet dozing. Her Ikran looked at her for a moment then took off, it would stay nearby but wanted to be in the air. it was used to her rider's unusual behavior. Kasa'li dozed and thought about nothing, reveling in her closeness to the nature she loved so much, hating how the humans seemed to not appreciate it. It struck her as odd that the one human was riding an Ikran, could he possibly be different. Her thoughts dissolved a bit.
take a look inside

Dea had stop and waited to see how Grace wood act as he took a seat on one of the boxes and looked at his camera as he went tough it. it had a lot of photos and some of Aya'qis. he looked at her and smile but that smile faded away. it was something he could not have no matter how hard he tried to be nice. the humans made a bad name for them selfs here and it may never end.

Seeing the hovercraft, Kiutre grimaced. More humans. Kiutre was about to turn around just as he heard, "Hello, what brings you all the way out here, and with a... human, as well?" Kiutre turned around and saw Kasa'li on her Ikran. Kiutre wasn't hostile towards humans and acted as a translator, but he didn't exactly like them. Sure, he accepted them and acknowledged them, but he would rather them gone.
Once Dea got dropped off from Aya's Ikran, he ran, faster than an average human – which still was pretty slow in a Na'vi's perspective. Kiutre saw the human run towards the hovercraft and shouting out a greeting to them. They responded immediately, by turning their guns on him. Seeing it was a human, the people in the hovercraft lowered their weapons, but didn't completely lower their guard. They asked him something and Dea responded with his name, nickname, rank, and what he was supposedly doing. Kiutre scoffed quietly. He'd seen Dea's camera, but he noticed that Dea didn't even take any pictures or video. He knew that that contraption could freeze an instant in time and store it somewhere on the device, or could make a replay of sometime in the past. Kiutre saw the female human yelling at Dea and saw the people behind her whisper quietly with each other. Maybe this human's temper was short. The human seemed in charge, but Kiutre wasn't totally sure, because she seemed to boss everyone around. Kiutre saw Dea laugh a little, then looked around and sit by a tree. Kiutre wondered what had happened. The other human didn't seem notice and continued yelling at Dea.
Kiutre turned around for a moment to see Kasa'li turn and go. He wondered if he should follow her. He decided against it and decided to see what would happen with Dea. Still flying a short distance away, he turned back to the two quarreling humans. This was entertaining – seeing the two humans fight with words.
Dea went to a box and sat down and looked at his camera. Kiutre winced and expected the woman to start yelling at him again, but she didn't. Dea smiled for a moment, then seemed to think of something else. His smile disappeared and became somber.
Kiutre turned to see if anything else was there, and was surprised to see another hovercraft coming in the direction of the other hovercraft. The second hovercraft was still a long way from here, but Kiutre still wondered if it was worth the risk of going or staying. After a few moments thought, he decided he would choose the latter. This was going to be entertaining.

AaaaaahDea yelled as he got up and started to walk to the path he came from and wanted to get away from this landing zone.I'm going for a walk. I 'm going to take more photos. dea said as he enter the path and went into the Hallelujah mountains. as he went far into it he started to get a shape pain in his head again and fell over as his air mask fell off and he passed out has the pain became a flash to his past.
Flash Back
As the pain fades away Dea gets up and looks around but he soon sees that his air mask was off and he was fine. he did not under stand thins and tired to think but as he did he started to get the shape pain again and went back but fell over a few times from the shape pain.

Grace scowled fiercely, her eyes sharp as she watched Dea retrieve his camera. She hissed, "One on one time? With a Na'vi? And how, pray, did you get to know this Na'vi? You obviously had to contact her while your relationship was unclear! And you therefore could have upset diplomatic relationships? Has it crossed your little mind that your relationship" Grace spat the word out like a curse, "isn't making things worse for the diplomatic side? Imbecile!"

Grace struggled to calm herself, visibly shuddering once in pure effort. She deliberately refused to look at Dea, her eyes skipping over him. She spoke to the pilot, "I want him out of here when you leave."

Turning to the soldiers, Grace gave them a meaningful look and they all jumped back into work, eager to get out of Grace's range. Grace saw Dea about to leave for a little stroll, and she struck. Although she no doubt was not a soldier, at that point she didn't care. She grabbed Dea by his shoulder and hauled him back, "Oh no you don't. I'm not letting you out of my sight, captain."

He felt Grace pull him and sigh as he rubbed his head. look. now see here little miss I want to go for a walk and I'm not in the mood to listen you. You almost made me lose the most lovely thing i have. Dea said as he waved the camera around and smiled. And what i do out there wont hart anything. god Thats why i like going out by my self.

Ne'tiq held very still, her eyes wide and unblinking. Her breathing was quiet and steady as she slowly notched a long arrow to her bow and gently pulled it back, the expert craftsmanship allowing this movement to be silent. The noise from the surrounding forest masked the slight noises that Ne'tiq made, but these were so slight, a human wouldn't have been able to pick them up.

Ne'tiq watched her prey intently, waiting patiently, as a good hunter always does. The "leaping one" (Hexapede) continued to graze calmly, not a care in the world. Occasionally its ears flickered, rotating around to listen for predators. Ne'tiq grinned at her success; obviously she had not been detected.
Ne'tiq continued to wait, when suddenly, the leaping one moved into the position Ne'tiq needed. There was no hesitation. Ne'tiq let the arrow fly. It slipped through the air like silk, making little noise and struck the leaping one. It did not even have time to cry out, and fell to the ground.

Ne'tiq crept towards her kill and murmured a blessing and a thanks over its corpse, "Thank you sister, for your sacrifice. Your spirit will remain among us, and your body will nourish us. You will become one with the world, and we shall join you when the time is right."

As soon as Ne'tiq finished, she pulled her arrow out. The slight movement caught the attention of a Thick-skin (Hammerhead Titanothere). It bellowed out a challenge, pawing the ground. Heart pounding, Ne'tiq stood into a half crouch and bared her teeth, hissing, dagger in her hand. She advanced a step, and the thick-skin charged, bellowing again. Ne'tiq yelled out her own challenge, standing firm.

At the last possible moment the thick-skin grounded to a halt, blowing and tossing its head and flaring its beautiful multi-colored ruff. It hit the ground hard with its foot and Ne'tiq, but a foot or two away, stepped back slowly. She bowed to the thick-skin, and retreated slowly. The thick-skin snorted, and trotted away. Ne'tiq grinned, showing off her teeth and returned to her kill.

Ne'tiq loved the thrill of being alive.

Okay you got me back what do you want? Dea said as he popped a pill in his mouth and smiled as he looked at her. so what do you want to do as we look around here.? And you dont need to be so mad with me you know. Dea said as he started to sing a bit and looked around as he waited for her to say something.

Kal'torac turned and directed her Ikran towards Hometree, alighting on the wide branch that served as a meeting place for Ikran-hunters. She let go of the Tsa'halu(bond) and murmured a thanks to the Dragon-bird. Quickly, she ran down into Hometree, running out into the wilderness in search of a hunt. She slowed down and carefully passed a Thick-skin, noticing the scent of a fresh kill nearby. She slowed down, drawing her bow and nocking an arrow. She crept toward the scent, raising her bow as she stepped around a tree....to find one of her sisters crouched over a freshly slain Leaper. She watched silently for a bit, then slung her bow over her shoulder and spoke quietly, not wanting to startle the one she now recognized as Ne'tiq, "Greetings sister, and a congratulations on a successful hunt." Kal decided to let her sister acknowledge her before joining her in transporting the meat.
Sometimes we have to show our spirits, and other times we have to show our hearts.

When we get to the end, we're really back at the start.

Dea tried to understand why Grace was so mad. it was in a humans mind to make friends and try to build a good friend ship with them and better them selfs with other kinds of people of beings. Dea thought it was okay to befriend one of the Na'vi and maybe fall in love with her. It was something he was trying to do. it seem like Graces way of doing things was a pain and slow. and it was time to take a better step in things.

Ne'tiq
Defender of the People

Ne'tiq had just returned to her kill when she heard the tell tale footsteps of one of the People, light and soft, like the whisper of the wind in the trees, but earthier, full of life. Ne'tiq turned to see Kal'torac, just as she recognized her faint scent. Ne'tiq smiled, and spoke, "And greetings and thanks, sister. What brings you about?"

Ne'tiq liked the older Na'vi, and shared her dislike for humans and Avatars. Ne'stiq's body language told anyone that she was relaxed and happy. She loved the hunt, but the transportation was a little tedious. No doubt she was glad that Kal'torac had come along to help.

Dea's compliancy somewhat cooled Grace's temper, but she was still angry. In a sharp tone she said, "I want you to stay put. I don't want you messing with the Na'vi anymore. And I'm angry because you could have messed everything up terribly. How the heck you got a na'vi to trust you is a mystery to me, but just by seeing you for a few minutes I know there's no way you're ever coming in contact with the Na'vi again if I can help it."

{Dea}

Dea laughed a bit and sat down. He wasn't going to let some nut case of a doctor of trees going to stop him from being with her. He was thinking of a way to do something about it and what he can do. You know something doc? your just jealous of me. That I was able to befriend one and well you cant. And besides I got my own work to and you cant stop me. I over rank you in every way. So I'm going for a walk now and have some fun. Dea said as he got up and walked away as soon as he got far from the landing zone he took of his mask and looked around. As he did this he started to look around and take photos. He was wondering if Aya'qis was still here or not. he wanted to see her again and talk more about things thank he does not know about this world. he then came to some unknown flowers and took some photos of them and kept going. it was fun and dea was happy. Dea was wondering if Grace was mad or flowing him But he didn't care.

Ignazio
Distilled Warfare

Ignazio thought he saw several Na'vi flitting around where Grace Augustine was making her new research base. As long as they didn't interfere, there would be no problem. Turning his head slightly, Ignazio breathed in the Pandorian air without problem.

The hovercraft swooped low and then the engines were cut, the blades slicing through the air as it settled down in the ground, bending the stalks of wild grasses and sending grit flying everywhere. The soldiers were diligent though, and worked well, even through the mini dust storm. It seemed they were in quite the hurry to leave.

Ignazio unstrapped himself and stepped out, signaling for the hovercraft pilot to wait a moment as he scanned the base. A few of the soldiers shuddered at the sight of him, but most kept it well hidden. Good. Ignazio knew there was something wrong. Grace Augustine would not have left soldiers to work if something hadn't come up. Tilting his head ever so slightly, Ignazio listened very carefully.

Then he stepped across the grasses to hear Dea's last statement. Ignazio stepped next to Grace, seemingly undeterred by her mask of fury. In a smooth voice he inquired, "A problem, Ms. Augustine?"

Grace turned towards Ignazio, saw who he was, and still scowled, "Just get Captain Dea out of here. I can't stand him."

Ignazio nodded once, and then set out to follow the Captain. There were few places to hide in a place like this, and soon Ignazio had come across Dea, still fiddling ith his camera. Without smiling, or without threats, Ignazio said, "I have orders to remove you from this vicinity, Mr. Smith."

Aya'qis flew on the back of her Ikran, heading toward hometree, when she spotted the forms of Kal'torac and Ne'tiq on the ground. Landing beside them, she spoke in her native tongue, "Greetings sisters, I see you are hunting. May I join you?"

Ne'tiq
Defender of the People

Ne'tiq heard the sound of beating wings in the air. They sounded small, but one could never be too sure. Alarmed, Ne'tiq looked up. A tuloc couldn't possibly make its way down into the undergrowth, could it? But the brief moment of unease passed when Ne'tiq recognized a Ikran. It's rider hoped off, and a smile stretched Ne'tiq face. Not much made Ne'tiq smile these days, but her twin sister always did. They had always been relatively close in their childhood, but they had grown further apart as they aged. Still, it was good to see her, "Greetings Aya'qis. Still ever in the air, I see. You are welcome to the hunt. Kal'torac?"

Aya'qis returned her sister's smile. "As you know, I practically live in the air." she confirmed her sister's statement. Nodding, she was then silent, looking around cautiously.

Kal'torac smiled at Aya as she appeared like a ghost from the treetops, having left her Ikran behind, "Of course, another pair of hands is always welcome." She smiled as the sisters smiled at each other, uniting once again. Every female Na'vi was 'Sister' to every other, but the bond the twins shared was special. It connected them in a way no Tsa'hilu could ever replicate.

Grace huffed an irritated sigh as she watched the hover craft finally take off, blowing dust everywhere and bending the blades of grass. But it wasn't long until it was naught but a little spot in the sky, and all was at peace. At last. With Dea and the rest of the idiots gone, Grace finally relaxed, her irritation flooding out of her. Turning around, Grace's eyes alighted on her single guard. Ignazio. Hmm. He was a strange specimen for sure. Altered.

Ignazio felt Grace's inspection and his eyes flickered up at her, meeting her eyes and holding them. Grace had to work to rip her eye contact away. She scowled and turned on one of her crew, "Well don't just stand there, get in!"

"Er, yes ma'am!" The researcher returned, rather lackluster. But he moved fast enough, disappearing into the metal building. Grace turned to Ignazio, her tongue sharp as usual, "Stay there. If you want to come in, or if there's a problem, knock."

Ignazio nodded slowly once, but Grace had already turned on her heel and left, disappearing into the makeshift building, leaving the quiet perch on the strange mountain silent once again.

Ne'tiq did not smile again, but instead returned to her crouch on the forest floor. With a sudden liquid movement, Ne'tiq hefted the leaping one on her shoulder. She seemed to be taking the weight well, but it was heavy enough that her speed was slower. Nodding at Kal and Aya, Ne'tiq signaled for them to take up guard positions. There was a reason that Na'vi hunted in pairs. Pandora, as the humans called their planet, was indeed a dangerous place. The slight smell of prey would bring predators coming round, which was why Ne'tiq had not cut the leaping one open on the spot. It would be unwise to go looking for trouble.

Kal'torac nodded as Ne'tiq motioned them into guard positions, drawing the bow on her back and bringing three arrows out with it. She nocked one arrow, looking around for any hunters that might have been attracted by the smell already, then gestured forward, walking slightly ahead of Ne'tiq. AS they were following the other two, Aya'qis was enjoying the time she ws spending with her sisters. Bow in one hand, arrow in the other, Aya followed the other two, keeping an eye on the sky above them for any other whomight be approaching.
