This isn't flaming, it's sporking. This kind of thing is actually very common. There are sporkings of actually published books as well as fanfiction (although the later more so). Have you ever watched Ramasy's Kitchen Nightmare? I'm like Chef Ramasy. I may insult you but in the end I'm trying to help you. Sadly, to take a page out of Ramasy's book, so many authors have their head so far up their ass that they don't listen and just complain.

The point is: I may insult you, I may even curse you out on occasions, but I'm trying to help. That's the goal: to make people who read the story laugh and to get the author to see what he or she did wrong. I mean, if you don't learn to laugh at yourself then your life can be  made miserable (well, at least when compared what it could be).

I still find this quite stupid, you can help him get better without making fun of it, you're idrectly flaming it too with saying how crap it was...I beg to differ, I liked it.

If you are so proud of it, why don't you do it with your own account?

What, exactly, makes you think I'm Zelenal? Is it because s/he has the same username on some other site or something? I ran across the name on some site forever and a day ago, I think it was called Hylian Shield. I liked it so when I went to make an account on this site I remembered the name and thought "Why not?" Besides, very few usernames are truly original. Whether someone else just thought it up or someone did it like I did.

Here's the thing, I need to make it funny for other people. The only way to do that in these situations is to mock it as much as possible. Another this you can compare sporking to is Mystery Science Theater 3000, In fact, another name for this is MSTing. If you think it's stupid then get over it. A lot of people don't.

I see that it's popular, trolling people, mindlessly insulting bands/movies/whatever is also popular on this hellhole also known as the internet. This forum is one of a few sites which is almost cleared for trolls and flamers. Your work is in vain, if you so much want to help, do it in his comments' thread politely or by PM to him. This is fun for the random hateful soul that roams the internet, but here, it is not. It's as unfitting as writing Na'vi on www.ultimate-guitar.com.

If you are here just to spork a fanfic, then you do not see the point of this site. This forum is small compared to other sites and you'll be known as a douchebag. Fìtsenge lu sutefpì a new lìfyat lena'vi nivume.

He is trying to write his first story, he got to finish it, noone are born pro in english. It is like expecting a newbie guitarist to play a shreddy riff. Saying this is common knowledge is like asking a non-musician about what a Gsus4 chord or and Arpeggio.

Please, your post is appreciated by very few here, because this place is not /b/, nor is it youtube, nor facebook, nor a fanfic site. If you are having trouble seeing that, then this is not the site for you.

And I am just expressing my opinion, and it is that this is pointless and an effort that is in vain. This is rude insult to the author of the story. Show me some creativity yourself and write something.

If you have been here long enough to actually know Duma (the guy you are insulting), you would know why he censures, but you do not care, because you're a hater.

Why do you think I hate it, the movie this awesome language came from is hated by many, my favorite bands is hated by many, I have the unpopular opinions. I have faced haters every day almost and I thought this place was better, and in fact, it was before you came in. Kä.

EDIT: Took a look at your last posts, seems like they're only sporking this story. You are either:

1. Another user who know the people here and do not dare to have his/her username behind it.
2. Someone looking for stories to spork, who came here solely for that reasson.

I believe more in the first, because this site is NOT known elsewere for having fanfics on it.

Well hello there, Mr. Hypocrite! You're flaming me for doing things when I don't know Duma yet you're basing my entire personality off of a couple of posts. Also, I highly doubt that you speak for the entire site.

I did come here for more then this. I liked Avatar and thought that learning the language would be cool. When I saw that this place had a fanfiction section I decided to give it a look. When I noticed Duma's fanfic I showed it to TI and we decided to start our sporkings with it. We were planning on doing it to a fanfic for a while and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

On another note: Asking a person, who's first language is English, to be able to do better than third grade level grammar is not the same as asking a newbie guitarist to play a DragonForce or Steve Vai song. Don't compare apples to oranges. I know of several people who's first language isn't English and they can do much better.

I'm not a hater. I like a lot of things that are rather unpopular. I'm a member of several fanbases that are very broken yet I take neither side. I like pretty much every game that the fandom covers.

Everybody does things in their own unique way and this is the way I chose to help him. I'm not calling myself perfect. Hell, my spelling is terrible. The thing is I notice my mistakes and move to improve myself. We're pointing out Duma's mistakes now it's up to him to improve.

If you don't like it then get over it. You're not going to stop us.

There are better way's to help people learn, than by bullying them and, please, do not mention 'tough love' to me.
Neither my spelling nor my grammar are top notch, as I am only too well aware, but I do not appreciate this form of lecturing, whether aimed at myself or another.
By the way, it should be "I am not a major Grammar Nazi" or maybe "I'm not a major Grammar Nazi"

Try to see if you find more sporkings on here, you see? It's like Jake Sully reaching out his hand to the clan leader in the movie, quite normal and polite to him, but the people saw it as a threat.

Duma is just trying to write his story, noone is born with good grammar, it comes from practise. Help him instead of bullying him, this forum has a quite polite standard. He gets the story delivered and the grammar does never confuse you, so it's decent.

You say, not to judge you by these posts, well, what other posts have you made to prove that you're a nice person?

I know the people here at the forum way better than you and such rudeness as in your posts is close to unheard of.

its true because "sonicwolf9" is also on strange lands, a RP that i am also on...and he rarily posts and is not, at all, on the story. thats how i know who he is.

Did you not read that? Besides, the Internet is a very big place. It is rather common to have a username that someone else has on another site. Also, after a bit of browsing on this site, I have found out that Zelenal was a member on Hylian Shield, the very site I got the name. So he is the person I got the name from.

You name isn't original either. IIRC, "Duma" is the name of a Bungie employee and "Vadamee" is the last name of a character. Can't be bothered to remember which though.

As some one who presents a relatively poor standard of English in their posts, I feel it is inappropriate that you should be lecturing others on theirs.
I have already stated my opinions on what you are doing, so, rather than repeating myself, I will instead simply recommend that you better spend your time improving your own standards.

I am very aware of the Avatar hatred, but as you know, Avatar haters don't come here, nor do people come here for the fanfictions.

I liked Duma's story, allthough it's not perfect, it is interesting to me and I would like to see a new chapter soon.

As said earlier, some things that are appropriate on other sites and forums are kind of innparopriate here.

As I said much earlier, I only nitpick about grammar in stories and then only ones I think are aweful the way they are. Do I think Duma's story has potential? At this moment, I would have to say"no" but I have a feeling that when I get further in there will be a lot o f potential for a good story. Please, don't make me out to be the bad guy here.
