PROLOGUE:

You know those words that started out perfectly fine, but somehow distorted into something inappropriate? I heard it happens all the time in the English language. Like the word for a female variant of this Earth animal became a horrible insult. Or how what used to be a fairly common name is now a synonym for a certain organ that you humans don't like talking about.

Well, hate to break it to you guys, but that kind of word transformation isn't unique to English, or even Earth. We here on Pandora have our fair share too.

I know what you're thinking. "But how can a language as magnificent and flawless as Na'vi have such a horrendous construction?" The answer? Easily. Someone thinks someone else is strange and foreign, they get scared, they make false assumptions, they rant to their friends, rumors spread, stereotypes form and spread like the plague with prejudice close behind. Eventually this bigotry becomes so tightly rooted in society that the name of the group is thrown around, not just as a derogatory term, but as a general insult. To the point where almost no one remembers where it came from.

So, what's this mysterious Na'vi word, you ask?

Vrrtep.

I mean, I'm a Vrrtep. Is that a problem?

~~~
Well, I'm going to give this a shot. My first Na'vi story. I'm going to take a ton of artistic liberties here, so try not to worry about accuracy too much. Plus I've only seen the movie once, so... yeah. Prologue.
And yes, I know the narration is extremely snarky. It's supposed to be. The main character is just a big Bag O' Snark. X3 It's what makes her fun.
Does anyone have any female Na'vi sounding names that they're willing to donate so I can forever soil them with infamy to the cause? :D
I don't know when I'm going to have Chapter 1. I'm a slow writer, so don't expect it any time soon. And hopefully the vocabulary won't be so expansive next time. *rereads* Big words make brain hurt. @______@
If you're looking for names, I recommend you take a look at Taronyu's dictionary on the website.
Sorry guys, but this is going to have to wait. I realized recently that it's April, and that means Script Frenzy. 100 pages of script, 30 days to write it. It's been eating up almost all my free time (and creative juices). Hopefully as I ease into the rhythm I should be able to pump something out, but I can't promise anything. Also, I won't be on much. :( At least I know where this is going right now. And maybe by then I'll have some cool names.
Irayo for your patience.
