The light of the sun is naught when once compared to light as strong as she does tend to be.
Though she doesn't even once considers herself that way,
she's light personified, an avatar of joyous, silent glee.
Though to herself, she's dark, she's less than gray.
I don't think I  am the only one, that thinks of her like this.
But when I find that no one ever talks of her, as longing as I do now
I find that things are wrong, that it's the world that is amiss,
when someone great as her, beautiful, and how,
is not the one that all who look at her simply covet, hope to closely love.
Regally, though alone, she wanders through the world, trying to help those around,
sacrificing herself, for others or a noble cause, when push comes to shove.

Not quite poetry, but eywa mokriyä gave something in french into skype chat, then translated it to english.  So I translated it to Na'vi.

The grammer probably is wrong in numerous places, because I don't know how to do compound sentences.  It would probably come out as a run-on sentence.  But here it is.  Also when I contructed trr-ri, since the rr followed by r seemed like too much tongue acrobatics to say, I opted for the theoretical ì between the two that we've seen in some places.

Le-'aw-a trr-ì-ri nga-l p<ay>awm oe-ti ftxey tìrey oe-yä fu nga.  Oe-l s<ay>i san-ti tìrey oe-yä sì nga-l tx<ay>ìng oe-ti hu-ri ke omum tìrey oe-yä nga lu.

One day you'll ask me to chose between my life and you, I'll answer my life and you'll leave me without knowing that my life is you.

Sìltsan tsmukan!

You are my hero. :)

This flows so well when I read it out loud.  Amazing.

Your poems are all awesome!

My Na'vi isn't very good yet, but once I got better I will post a poem too.

Tirealì'u

Barely poetry, and likely with plenty of grammatical issues since it was written at 4am, but...

Oel kameie ngati.
Rutxe nari si.
Ngal oeti kame srak?

Set oel Eywati hu,
slä ngari txe'lan kea kerusey lu,

Kehe, krr layu ke ftue,

I see you.
Please look.
Do you see me?

Now I am with Eywa,
but your heart is not dead,
while I live in your mind.

No, time will not be easy,
but do not fear.
We will be together again,
but now, live.

Tìng Eywatikìte'e

All of these are so awesome! Great job everyone.

Ma aysmukan your poems are fantastic.

I hope i will get the inspiration to write one of my own.

Pxay irayo (that written rght?).
Personally i don`t take the Na`vi as alien because i think i understand them.

When I look on the news and see what horrible things are happening around the world I can`t help but wonder what is the source of them and therefore my own race is becoming more and more alien to me as time passes by.

Does that make any sense?

Bravo, its wonderful how much feeling you can put into such few, simple verses...

Great Tirealì'u, it was really heartfelt :) I love simple poems, they put so much into so little.

Regally, though alone, she wanders through the world, trying to help those around,
sacrificing herself, for others or a noble cause, when push comes to shove.
Her eyes are unlike any other that in this world ever could be found,
yet she has two of those amazing portals, into a kind and gentle mind and soul.
I find that she is quite above and higher than those simple mortals,
thinking of herself as less, incomparable to the whole.
She tends to try and strain herself to make herself as high as she thinks we are,
when in reality she's more, and in trying so, she makes us poor.

Another wonderful bit Lì'uyä täftxuyu, I enjoy how even with such a limited selection of words to choose from, you still manage to get in a lot of detail and feeling.
