Yes I know, there's still almost a month and a half until November, but it's best to start planning (and networking for a support group) early, so I thought where better to begin a little writing club but here on the forums!

I will be doing NaNo again this year, barring any sudden illnesses like death or two broken arms (and even the broken arms might not stop me!) and this year I'm planning on going with a Na'vi theme.

So...anyone else entering the insanity with me? :-*

And just in case all the above was Greek to you...here's what I'm talking about:

Be strong, ma tsmukan!  As long as you can manage 2k words a day, NaNo is easy!  It's sticking to your guns that'll get you through!

Ooooh long Avatar fanfics..... ;D ;D ;D I was just talking to my sister (who does NaNo, I do NOT) that I'm really looking forward to November because that's when Avatar fans will write Avatar NaNos. ::) Come December I'm guessing there will be a lot more Avatar fanfics posted on FanFiction.net.

Can't wait! ;D

Amaya

hehe I suspect November itself may be a bit of a dry spell of posting of fics since often people wait until they're done NaNo before fussing with such complicated  ;) things, but yes, I'm sure there will be a surge of fic!  I just hope we can make ourselves a little support group in here!  >.> and I suspect that whatever day I get the extended edition mailed to my home, my NaNo count will suffer...just a little. ;) ;D

Puvomun

I'm doing Nano as well, but I am not writing Avatar or Na'vi (already writing fanfic here)...

I'm doing a Na'vi NaNo this year, but my purpose of posting here was partly for that and mostly to get a few of the wonderful people on here to help push each other, so no matter what you're working on, I'd love to keep the group of us pushing each other and such

In aid of that, the website is up and running for this year, and this http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/38894 is my profile.  Any of you lovely folks on here can add me as a "buddy"

I think i might do this, i've had a story in my head for the longest time... non avatar related though
Also a member of the podcast known as Avatar Nation.  Come listen to our stuff! like us on facebook and chech out our blog at Avatar-Nation.net.

NaNo really is one of the best possible ways to get that story out and just play around with it.  After the NaNo you can look at what you've written and edit as necessary but the really good thing about NaNo is it forces you to just...write. :D

I'd love to see a good bunch of folks do this.  The more the merrier!~

I'm so doing this. I won last year, and I plan to win again.  ;) Luckily I have experience on my side this time around, and have already started all that planning and worldbuilding so I don't have to worry about it later. It's not Avatar related, though. (But it is about first contact in a sense.)

oh a winner huh? what was the story and do you have a link to it?

Naniwrimo is a lot of fun and a challenge. I'm in it for the 4th year now. :)

I suddenly got this wicked idea in my head for a sequel to my fanfiction...
And here I was, thinking I had my plan for Nano laid out.
I may have to revise that thought.

tsaheylu made! ;D

Hopefully I'll get my normal fic to the point where I want in order to jump off to my NaNo...time to get working!

So many people are doing this nanowrimo that I know personally, it is really rather interesting.

I am starting to wonder what the point of it is ultimately.

I will be contributing an original work.  My hope is that my muse doesn't kick me to the curb again, like last time.

I believe the point of it is to loosen you up so you can write faster and easier. :D Not necessarily an endeavor to create a novel that you could sell, but more of a practice thing.....
