Looks like Puvomun/PaganPaul is writing two novels this month. ;D

HRH - I have found that 50.000 words in a month is not much of a challenge for me anymore, so I doubled the target for myself. ;)

My last fanfic (which died), first post November 25, 2010, 03:38:16 pm last post November 09, 2011, 03:16:25 pm.
According to an online copy and past word counter it consists of 77661 words. An average of 6753 words per month.

I sucked at this.

You did most certainly NOT. Not many people know or understand that writing is a LOT of work. It is not merely the typing, but also the thinking, keeping things in place and coherent. That is what most folks forget.

You, ma 'eylan, did not suck. Believe me. I know. I write too. (And 50.000 words a month is a lot. Many people don't finish it.)

I kept a page of notes. Which the counter say is 2272 words long (I included this in the 77661 total above)
Don't forget research.

I made a rod for my own back, and no mistake. :(

As I said, writing is a lot of work.
Also: not everyone is a fast writer. It took George Martin 10 years (!) to write part 5 of the Game of Thrones series. ;)

I think it's time to revive this thread now that Camp NaNoWriMo is coming!
Anyone else thinking about participating?

I'm not doing camp. I'm working on several books at the moment and am already wondering what to do for nanowrimo itself when it comes...

Srane. The 11th book is now with my editor. Hilda is my big hit, and she's so great to write! I'm also doing a scifi now, in English and Dutch simultaneously. That's hard as I never wrote a book in Dutch before. But a challenge is good. :)

I'm hoping to read them all one day!  ;)
I'm really eager to write something for Camp, but I have no idea or plan,  :-\

What subject or genre do you like to write? Maybe I can throw you an idea.
