Nice (start of a?) story.

A small note, I would suggest using a few more commas in your writing. (They're cheap. )

E.g.: "That'll be me soon Kura mused" reads easier as "That'll be me soon, Kura mused."

Also sentences like 'I don't know but I'm going to' Kura answered joyfully. work better when written as  'I don't know but I'm going to,' Kura answered joyfully.

Final little remark: I don't know if you are going to use Na'vi in your text. If you do, it would be better to use "double quotes" for spoken text, as otherwise things can become confusing when you also insert single quoted Na'vi glottal stops.
E.g.'Hello, ma 'eylan.'

(But maybe I am taking this too far, so please don't feel harrassed. )
