Hi, this mod has existed for long, but on another forum's gaming thread it has got a lot of popularity lately, it is also a great game and it costs NOTHING. It is on Steam (www.steampowered.com), I am not entirely sure if you need a source game to play it. EDIT: No need for a source game, just download and have fun FOR FREE!

Discuss, possibly recommend other games that are both free and decent/good.

Alien Swarm, brilliant game!
its a kind of Left for Dead, a co-op for 4 players.
you need to survive hordes of aliens when you need to complete some tasks.

its not easy, i died in easy mode :-[ (many times)
oh, some advice keep the engineer alive! its a must! without him, your mission wil fail!

and btw, if you complete 2 co-op games (achievement), you will get a FREE hat in Team Fortress 2  ;D ;D

The trick to get past the first map is not to have a noob engineer. I played public with a friend yesterday, and we died 3 times on the first map, then I went engineer, and made it :P

Try to play on normal, not too many noobs there.

Finished on normal this morning, currently got to the very last part of Timor Station on hard.

Should have that cracked pretty soon.

It will probably not be until tomorrow...

A) I'm going to play it single player for a bit so I can get the hang of it
B) My internet is rubbish... the later it gets the slower it goes
