Ah, definitely play through AC2, I thought it was much better than the first. Once I got to Venice, I basically did the entire rest of the game in one go, including the Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities. (DLC)
(Although I will say that I hated a couple of the Bonfire missions.. the ones that play like Splinter Cell or something, where you can't be seen or you fail the memory)

For me its Altaïr, that why I play as Altaïr in AC2 :P I love AC (1) but the setting in AC2 is much different and better. Although I loved running around with guards behind me in Jerusalem :P

Hard question... Altaïr was trained to be an assassin, but Ezio is... laid back :D he uses the crowd much better.
If they were brought together to fight each other (same equipment), i think Altaïr would win...

I'm not psyched about Brotherhood... i'm psyched about AC3... ;D :P

BTW, there was an AC topic... it became forgotten :'(

I was reading over the other topic on this game. Thought I'd like to ad on prices, I bought AC for $20 preowned from EB games, it was also this cheap as there was a half price sale going on

Nearly a year after AC2 was realised I went into the shop after finishing the first (Whitch was last weekend) to see that the game is still $110, but luckily it had a half price sticker on it ($55 brand new is pretty good). When I got to the counter the clerk said they had a White Edition copy out back (which comes with an Ezio statue and exclusive in game content) but the thing was it was $100 and not on sale. Luckily for me the clerk said he's sick of going out back to see that huge box there so he sold it to me for $50.

I'm surprised that the White Edition at full price is $10 cheaper then the game by itself.

Anyways, in AC2 I'm supposed to be in Tuscany going to all the spies and finding out info on where my next target is, but there's so much other side stuff to do like expanding the villa or searching for tombs and codex pages. So I'm currently clearing Florence of all the codex pages and syncing all the viewpoints

I haven't played AC2 yet...
Going to complete the first one first.

And finally get my brother to shut up and admit he isn't that good at it as I've done every objective so far in half the time it took him (Including side ones :D)

Do you get any ranged weapons other than throwing knives?
Only mostly AWOL.

Hawnuyu atxen

In AC1, no
In AC2, yes, a hidden gun... you have really few shots before you need to go to a merchant though ;D still, it's fun.
Than maybe you can call smoke bombs and sand ranged weapons, but... ;)

damn.
I'm a sniper... with no sniper like weapons...
Balls.

The hand-musket blows. You need to be reasonably close and it takes around 6 seconds to gather enough aim to ensure a hit, during which time any blending that you may have had active is disabled.

Besides the gun "training" memory, I used exactly one bullet the whole game, on that mask mission in Venice. Generally, if you're in a good enough position to use the gun, it'd be easier to just walk up to the person and stab them in the face with your hidden blade.

Also fun: Getting into a giant melee with a bunch of seekers (The ones with polearms) and brutes (Full platemail with 2H swords and axes)
You can grab the seekers and assassinate them right off. Then steal their halberd and use it to counter-kill the brutes :P
(You normally can't counter-kill brutes with a sword or knives)

I like stabbing people... It's... funny watching them wonder who the hell killed their friends...
Only mostly AWOL.

Hawnuyu atxen

Than you'll like the double hidden blade ;D
4 guards... 2 guards... no guards :D

Sadly, at times like this they don't have the time to wonder...

I'd still kill them one at a time on principle.
I even let them run. Its more fun stabbing them as they try to flee... They never get far.
Only mostly AWOL.

I did that a lot for the pack of guards in front of every building with a codex before I figured out that it was just much easier to just distract them with thieves or courtesans.

I'm trying to spend as much money on courtesans as it's worth a PSN Trophy once you've spent 5000f on them

I enjoyed AC, but AC2 is just a far superior game in every aspect.

I like to get a whole groupof guards and then take them all out

But in AC at the ending, when you need to walk past all the innocent people, I was letting my friend doing that part once and by accident and the life stayed the same, so what he did was killing another one, nothing happend, so my friend killed all the innocent people.

Yes, in the first game after one point you can kill anyone... still, in the second it's much more fun... kill a guard, than carry him somewhere... the other guards won't like that ;D

I'm playing AC again, it stays awesome, when you first get to Jeruzalem, the camera floats over the city and I thought: ''Good old times!''

And another thing, the guards, the guards..... They can be so stupid sometimes, I was like standing next to him and I killed the guard next to him and he doesn't see it.
