Kaltxì, ma frapo! Ngaru lu fpom srak? :)

I haven't posted here for a while (although I do read stuff occasionally), and I wanted to do something different. This, combined with the fact that I've been playing way too much Dwarf Fortress recently, gave me the idea to suggest we play a Succesion game.

If you don't know what Dwarf Fortress is, read this. All of it. Heck, read it anyway. It's epic :P. If you don't know what a succession game is, then read this: the general idea is that we play a game of Dwarf Fortress and take turns to do 1 year (or whatever) each, post what happens here. Hopefully, we should end up with epic tales of... something. Kind of like the above link.

If you're interested, reply - you don't have to be any good at the game to join in, by the way ;D. If we get enough people (at least 3/4), we can decide on some details. We totally need to find some way to Na'vi it up.. or something.

I'm in! ;D If people are fine with me taking the second go, I'll do that. I'm a good player :)

Also, if people don't want to play but want to have a dwarf named after them, most succession games do that - just remember that your dwarf can and likely will meet a nasty death at some point :P. Myself, whoever starts, I'd like one named after me, preferably a mechanic or weaponsmith if possible :)

If you want, you can take the first go :P - It's probably a better idea to have someone who really knows what they are doing start :D
(Although saying that, I only know what I'm doing at the start in the first place :P)

As for naming dwarves - of course! (I forgot about that :P)
I'll make a list so I don't forget, not that that is a problem right now.

Ok, I'll wait and see if we get some more players. Any particular ideas for start in terms of biome, loadout, challenges?

I was thinking about a thick forest/jungley biome to make it like Pandora, or something. Other than that, I haven't had too many other thoughts  :-\.

Although, just now, I had the idea of only using Na'vi style weapons - so spears and bows.

Bows would be a pain to do (without modding, anyway) as dwarves can only make crossbows and bolts; no bows/arrows, they have to be bought from elves and humans and collected from the remains of goblin sieges, although crossbows might fit too.

Yeah, I realized that after I wrote it :p

I never said I had any good ideas :p

Although it could probably be stretched into spears, swords (knives), crossbows (bows), possibly axes, and unarmed.
