If you love GTA, then but the date November 8 to your calendar

Game Informer is releasing 18 pages of Grand Theft Auto V on that date

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/10/26/december-issue-featuring-gta-v-to-launch-digitally-on-november-8.aspx

December Issue Featuring GTA V To Launch Digitally On November 8

We announced our new cover back on October 11, and today we can share with you the release schedule for our December issue featuring Grand Theft Auto V.

In the morning of November 8, we will reveal the cover art and give you a break down of the issue (hint: the story is huge - over 18 pages in print - and full of details and screens we can't wait to share). Then, in the afternoon (US Central time) we will release the digital edition of Game Informer to iPad, 10-inch Android devices, and PC/Mac. Print issues will already be in the mail and should arrive to subscribers in the weeks that follow. Newsstand is November 16.

Game Informer Digital subscribers have access to all three digital editions, or you can purchase the individual issues on iPad or Android for $4.99 (or subscribe directly to those devices through the appropriate storefront for $19.99). Game Informer Digital is available worldwide if you have the appropriate credit card and email information.

The tablet app itself is free for iPad and Android and you can check it out now (including a free copy of the Gears of War: Judgment issue).

Digital subs can be purchased directly online through us (via GameStop) or by visiting a GameStop store location, but it can take up to 48 hours to process (we know it's dumb and are working on it). Please subscribe early if you want access to all the editions. This is the only way to access the PC/Mac editions. Otherwise, iPad and Android are available for purchase instantly. The issue will also be available through Google's Play Magazine app as soon as possible. This supports all Android devices, but currently isn't part of our Game Informer Digital subscription and must be purchased separately. If you are looking for single print issues internationally, please contact [email protected] (rates depend on location).

So if you live in the US, go vote on the 6th, spend the 7th speculating and getting excited, and then grab your digital issue on the 8th! Everyone else in the world can skip the voting.

Rockstar Games confirms the release date. The other pages have right afterall. It is coming in Spring 2013

Thank you R*, thank you so much for this wonderful news :)
So this means, GTA V will release about 4 to 6 months time on PS3 and Xbox 360. There is not said something about a PC release, but there is normal for Rockstar to tell it later. It will probably release sometime later after the PS3 and the Xbox 360 release.
It is available for pre-order on 5th of November, monday next week

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/45951/grand-theft-auto-v-is-coming-spring-2013.html

Today, we're proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond – from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean.
Starting next week November 5, 2012, Grand Theft Auto V will become available for pre-order everywhere and fans can expect a host of new information to become available in November.

Look for downloadable desktop versions of the brand new artwork above coming very soon.

Miles beyond? This might indicate that the map is very large, a lot larger than the IV map. maybe 5x larger, or 7x larger, who knows

Dan Houser says it will be the biggest they have ever made

Take Two Interactive Inc. talks about the upcoming release of GTA V, which will happen between april-june next year, in 2013, which R* confirmed yesterday. About the Fiscal Year 2014
Also, they will host a press conference 4:30 p.m Eastern Time, today

http://ir.take2games.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=86428&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1752068&highlight=

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) today reported financial results for its second quarter fiscal 2013, ended September 30, 2012. In addition, the Company updated its financial outlook for its fiscal year 2013, ending March 31, 2013.

For its second quarter fiscal 2013, GAAP net revenue was $273.1 million, as compared to $107.0 million for its second quarter fiscal 2012. Non-GAAP net revenue was $288.0 million, as compared to $107.0 million for the year-ago period. GAAP net loss from continuing operations was $12.4 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, as compared to $47.3 million, or $0.57 per diluted share, for the year-ago period. Non-GAAP net income was $10.2 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, as compared to Non-GAAP net loss of $39.4 million, or $0.47 per diluted share, for the year-ago period.

The strongest contributors to net revenue in the second quarter were Borderlands 2 and catalog sales led by Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption. Catalog sales accounted for 28% of Non-GAAP net revenue. Revenue from digitally delivered content grew 108% year-over-year and accounted for 20% of Non-GAAP net revenue, driven by offerings for the Borderlands franchise, particularly digital sales of Borderlands 2, the Grand Theft Auto franchise, the Sid Meier's Civilization franchise, and Max Payne 3.

"Take-Two's second quarter revenue and earnings exceeded our outlook, driven by the breakout success of 2K's Borderlands 2 and robust demand for our catalog and digitally delivered offerings," said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two. "Our business continues to fire on all cylinders, led by terrific early results from 2K's NBA 2K13, and the outlook for our upcoming releases such as BioShock Infinite is stronger than ever. As a result, we continue to expect to deliver revenue growth and Non-GAAP profits in fiscal year 2013. Moreover, with Grand Theft Auto V slated for spring 2013, we are poised to generate substantial revenue and earnings growth in fiscal year 2014."

Rockstar Games:

  • Announced that it plans to launch Grand Theft Auto V worldwide during spring 2013 for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.
  • Announced that it plans to release Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for a wide range of iOS and Android devices in the fall to celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of the top-selling games of all time for the PlayStation 2.
  • Announced that it plans to release Rockstar Games Collection: Edition 1 in North America on November 6, 2012. This box set features four of the most critically acclaimed titles of the current console generation including Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City and Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition.

*Hopefully* GTA V will be released for the PC. :)

Possible some time later after the release on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Some 1-4 months after May next year. So PC release, will possible happen in autumn next year. Who knows, but think, only 6 months now till it is releasing :)
I am gonna play GTA V all days. What I am gonna do, is to take that beautiful new Cheetah car, and drive through Los Santos. Gonna drive down to Santa Maria Beach, into downtown, Grove Street(if it exist), and out to the countryside and check out there. And then start the missions :D

They said that this will be the biggest game they have ever made. The map will be "For miles beyond" as they said. That says that the map is gonna be extremely big :)

I hope, GTA V will release 6 month after the console, and I wish, that GTA V will work on PC not like GTA 4 at the release...

Looks like GTA V maybe will get DLC's, like GTA IV have
http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/gta5/news/gta_5_dlc_theres_going_to_be_a_lot_of_interesting_stuff_teases_take-two_ceo.html

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has suggested that Rockstar has "a lot of interesting stuff" planned for Grand Theft Auto 5's DLC, but that it is "way too early" to begin discussing it.

Responding to a question regarding the potential for GTA 5's 'digital content' during Take-Two's investor call last night, Zelnick said that it was "way too early to discuss those plans, and of course those discussions will come from Rockstar in the normal course".

He continued: "I think you can safely assume that Rockstar, as the label that led the charge in downloadable content with Grand Theft Auto 4, I think you'd have every reason to believe, purely because of the ground-breaking nature of the title itself and the multiplayer in the title, that there's going to be a lot of interesting stuff. But I'll leave that to Rockstar to announce."

More information on GTA 5 will be revealed next week, although that likely won't include any of Rockstar's ongoing DLC plans.

In the same conference call, Take-Two also confirmed that GTA 5 would not be launching until at least April 2013.

The game, which was announced for release during 'spring 2013' earlier this week, "is now a fiscal year 14 [title]", the company's chief financial officer Lainie Goldstein confirmed. "We've announced that it's during spring 2013 release time period, and not in this fiscal year."

Zelnick further confirmed GTA 5's FY 2014 release date, saying: "As a result, we continue to expect to deliver revenue growth and non-GAAP profits for fiscal year 2013 even without a major new release of Grand Theft Auto, and we're positioned to generate substantial revenue and earnings growth in fiscal 2014."

He added that the game was Take-Two's most eagerly anticipated release "without question".

Take-Two's FY 14 begins on April 1, 2013, and ends March 31, 2014. Combined with the prior knowledge that GTA 5 will release during spring, expect to see the game ship during April, May or June 2013.

But why hasn't Take-Two announced a specific release date for GTA 5? Zelnick explains:

"With regard to the date for Grand Theft Auto 5, spring 2013, we make those announcements based on what we think is best to market the title, and we think that's the right way to describe it, and we're thrilled with the way that is shaping up."

Great news everyone :)

Rockstar Games has confirmed a 2nd trailer of GTA V is coming out in just a few days, it is mostly coming out next week
The 2nd trailer was actually going to come out today, but was delayed, because of the hurricane Sandy. Rockstar Games have their office in New York, where the hurricane was. They lost power, and couldn't continue to finish the work of the 2nd trailer.

This is what Rockstar Games said
you find their comment at this link(http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/45951/grand-theft-auto-v-is-coming-spring-2013.html)

We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon. It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay.
