I've been playing the classic a load over the last couple of days and I want to know...
Is the new version a lot better?

The Alpha verison is spectacular, honestly. Well worth the £9- whatever it is.

Some of the stuff it generates really is amazing; like floating mountains, giant caves, waterfalls of lava, etc.

And the stuff you can build can get even bigger, more spectacular and complex, especially at the rate Notch is pumping out updates.

Awesome...

I will get it then...

I made this up today and tbh... I'm pretty proud of it so I'm gonna attach it to this post... It's a castle with a moat, outer wall, watchtowers, boats, secret tunnels, random houses, flag and a pair of catapults...

EDIT: There might be a few glitches with the stairs... I haven't encountered any but according to someone else who tested it some of the stairs don't work

It's not just me that plays then! :D
Looking forward to SMP!
I've been considering using obsidian (which is almost indestructible) and the red stuff to build anti player security, it might even work!
