I just read that MW3 will have zombies...
Notice in the beginning his scope changes from a normal sight, to red dot, to a normal sight again

Okay I'm feeling slightly more optimistic about it now

There are several changes I saw there that I like but there's a few I don't. But still not gonna pay more than a tenner for it.

Watching COD XP live now and they said one of the hosts is going to host a panel about zombies, but they said it was zombies from Black Ops.... so... it was too good to be true

The graphical jump from COD 2 to 3 is fairly large, as is the jump from 3 to 4. I can't speak for 5, 6, or 7. COD 8 (at least to me) looks like the jump from Bioshock 1 to Bioshock 2: Not huge, but noticeable.

If you're talking about gameplay then yes, I agree that the series hasn't really evolved at all. But the game is good as far as FPS's go. Halo Reach is what you get when you demand too much change.

Also, when COD 2 came out it was a console launch title and graphics like it had never been seen before. You could argue that it even had the best graphics of any game to date.

Seriously, CoD2 is the only game in the series that I like (I've never played the first thogh).. CoD3 was console only so it's bad by definition, CoD4, well, it got too many weapons and variations of these and many of them felt OP.

CoD4 had only 4 useless/completely redundant weapons.

why? because the MP5 was flat out better.
(It also shares ammo with the G3. Which is handy if you almost always use a G3)
but other than that they were all OP together.
(Arguably the M21 is also useless as the draganov/Barret are better for power and nearly as accurate. but the M21 does have a handy lack of recoil for a sniper rifle)

Personally I think COD4 is the only one they got the campaign & MP right but I've not played the older ones much so I can't really comment on the gameplay.

Hey now don't hate on the Skorpion, with nearly zero recoil you can do some incredible things with it on most maps. And on Hardcore servers you can dominate nicely with it.

Or you use the MP5, which does more damage and has a bigger clip. It also looks cooler.

And on hardcore the Deagle is king.

I'd like to express my views on MW3:

While i don't think it's the best game in the series (In fact, i think it's probably the worst, at least out of all the COD games i've played and finished, which are all but COD 1 and 2.), i still think that MW3 is a pretty good game overall, in turn meaning that the COD games IMO have a quite high ``lowest level´´, so to speak. The campaign was pretty decent, even though the ending was kinda over-the-top. As usual, the multiplayer is quite flawed and has the same usual problems the COD always have, plus some new ones, but i still think quite decent, although i'm not sure if i'm motivated enough to go through all Prestiges. Special Ops is more varied this time around, with more dynamic scenarios, although one might argue that Survival Mode is just a rip-off of Firefight in the Halo games and Horde in the Gears Of War games.

I could go on and on about this, but i'll keep it short since i'm feeling a bit sick and i therefore don't feel like i have the mental capacity to write a post much longer that this  .

And BTW: I don't get why many of aynga write posts in this thread when you don't even like COD in general  . That, to me, just seems like you mostly just write posts here to talk trash about COD  . COD, like everything else in multimedia, wasn't made so people could hate on it, it was made so that people could enjoy it (Although some things seems to have been made only to provoke, like the Innocence Of Muslims movie  .).
