HDD: 50GB
Video: Nvidia GeForce(highest)/AMD(Highest)
VRAM: 2.0GB
DirectX: DirectX 10
Input device(s): Joystick, mouse, keyboard

Recommended System Requirements:
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i7 3.4GHz/Quad-Core CPU/Dual Core 3.4GHz
RAM: 6-8GB
HDD: 50GB
Video: Nvidia GeForce(highest)/AMD(Highest)
VRAM: 2.5GB/3.0GB
DirectX: DirectX 11

I guess this game will be developed for next-gen computers

That will have at least a CPU up to 20GHz(overclock), the RAM up to 25GB, VRAM, up to 5GB
And maybe there will be developed a new DirectX version, DirectX 12
and after, several games will be available for Windows 8

There is now existing computers with CPU at highest to 8GHz. There is existing RAM at 16GB, and VRAM up to 3GB

This is the possible system requirements for Star Citizen:

There will be a lot of optimization in the next 24-months, plus the usual fast pace of technology, so it is hard to say absolutely. At the moment you will be able to play it on a 4GB dual core PC with a GTX 460 or greater, but not with full fidelity. If you're running an i7 2500, 2600, 2700 or better with a GTX 670 or greater you will get the full experience and we will only scale up from there. You will need a dedicated GPU. Since the game is built on CryEngine, their system requirements will stay roughly the same as ours.

There were asked questions to Robert Space Industries, so take a look at this:

Q: Is Star Citizen "free to play"? A subscription game?
A: To play Star Citizen you need only to buy the initial game. There will never be a monthly charge for usage. Some in-game items may be available as microtransactions, but we will NEVER sell anything that can't be acquired through honest (and fun!) gameplay.

I have that:
i7 2600 @ 3,5 Ghz @ 0,684/1,12 Volt
Corsair 8GB DDR3 1333MHz
Gainward GF GTX570 Phantom @ Standard

I think I would need a newer graphics card  ;D
