Your personal Game of the Year

So Batman, Portal, and Skyrim (Skyrim in particular) seem to be dominating the GotY awards this year. I own and ADORE all 3. Portal for it's amazing character (and characters) and excellent design. Batman because, well, it's Batman, it has EXCELLENT graphics that run smoothly, simple yet deep combat, and excellent story. And Skyrim because it's simply the greatest role-playing experience out there, has a huge and beautiful world, and it's incredibly moddable drastically increasing it's replay value.

Personally I feel that Skyrim just has WAY too much content for the other games to compete with (over 300 hours including side quests).

I just passed the 300 hour mark on Skyrim, so I'd say Skyrim.

3 times I've been to the cinema in 2 weeks and 3 times I've seen the live-action Skyrim trailer on the big screen.

Over 600 hours on Portal and Portal 2 combined, and BTW those are my only 2 Steam games

...almost a month of testing, and still can't seem to stop testing xD

my vote goes to Portal 2, it's the only game I played from that list.

I know that Skyrim is an excellent game too! But i haven't played it so I can't really vote on it, right?

I hate having to pick between Batman, Skyrim and Portal because each is a completely different type of game and each is absolutely amazing. Portal 2 is one of very few single player games I continue to play over and over.

I, like you, ma 'Ite Atxur, have a hard time picking my absolute favorite. My choices are Skyrim for the fact that it gives the player great ability of choosing freely what to do, amongst many other things, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception for it's completely awesome graphics and attention to detail, it's incredibly well made physics and effects, nice Indiana Jones-style story and it's many extra thrilling moments, and Gears Of War for it's brutally fun gameplay, goofy dialogue, well made story and entertaining multiplayer.
