I want to buy Blu-Ray, but my PS3 is broken ( ''Yellow Light of Death'' problem ) and that is only that I have that can play Blu-Ray! Now I just have to hope my PS3 will be back soon, or else I have to buy the DVD

Still in theaters over here. But the movie did come out over three months ago. That seems to be a normal release schedule.

Already pre-ordered about a week ago.  Decided to go with the Blu-ray version, which my movie store is doing a midnight release so I get to miss school to see Avatar for 20 of 24 hours!  LOL

2 hours, 42 minutes. It's the true run time, but that's without the extentions that'll make Avatar better.

On bol.com ( which is a Dutch site ) has it avaible 21.04.10 ( day comes before month in Holland ) Thats 1 one earlier then the american release! And it also has a runtime of 162 minutes , so no extra scenes. Or it would be at the bonus area, thats its not incluced in the film??? Im gonna wait until its out and then ask somebody that already has it, maybe one of u guys, and if it has the extra scenes.

When i asked to pre-order my avatar, i was asked about the regular or extended edition. The extended edition turns out to be the bluray version though. Funny thing, a bunch of my friends found put i was pre-ordering avatar, so they all threw money at me and said to pre-order the dvd. So i ended up pre-ordering like 20 copies. The guy behind the counter was like... WTF?

In 2011, the 2D version is gonna be on TV. RTL4 ( dutch tv channel ) has bought the rights to show it first, im so lucky to live in Holland!

but thats ok.  Its still in the top 10, over 1000 theaters, STILL selling out (although, on 3 showings a day) and with the summer rerelease (can they rerelease something thats still in theaters?? That would be hilarious!)... I think Ill exist quite fine for a little while.

i pre-ordered mine a week ago. I bought the standard edition, as i figured this was just the basic release and that the extended version would be released later this year.

unfortunately, if the bluray version is extended, i'll have to buy myself a bluray player and get the bluray version.

So, if you buy the DVD, it will only be the movie? No bonus features? Because i do not, and have no intentions (yet) of owning a blue ray play, so there's no point in buying the Blue Ray. I know there is an even more extended version coming out in November (which will probably have more features then the BR will anyways, but I'm just hoping there will be a few extras on the DVD now.
