The notice came yesterday, while I was out at the Earth Day meet-up... I picked the plates up today.

Here it is, I am now officially Chevy Makto.

As for necroposting: I think that is a rather foul question. Blame the DMV for taking 10-12 weeks to get plates in. And as for stating that people should not be able to post interesting comment after say... ten days, is a death knell to he forums. MOST of the LN members were not here when topics started, therefore they are ALL necroposting. Finally, the issue of necroposting has a: driven many many members away with its overt negativity, and b: has been hashed, rehashed, and decided upon officially months ago, making that question about necroposting techincally a necropost.

There should be a new rule (as if we don't have enough here already): NO FUN VACUUMS! This used to be a fun place where people actually liked each other. It has soured over the months. This discussion does not help, so after writing my response, I shall place this in a spoiler.

The license plate has been "corrected" so the word is now as it appears in the dictionary. It seems that "someone" has made a bluish-black smudge over the I. We also have reports of this post being partly responsible for a LN member ordering IKRAN, so, if there is ANY truth to that at all, huzzah! (ni Na'vi naturally), and we should have MANY MORE members registering license plates(C'mon! show your Avatar love!). In California it is just $40. Some possible combinations you may want to try (please feel free to add your own suggestions) are:

There really are a wide variety of plates available. I have purposefully not listed a few because people have told me they "might" get them, and so I do not want to jeopardize their ability to (eventually) get them while they are still deciding.

P.S. I love the fact that San Diego, which has more military bases with 100 miles than (almost?) any other city on Earth has a rock station (the oldest station in San Diego in fact) that is called KGB! And we love it!

I was going to comment on that. Whenever I see a Texas LP out here I think "Texas TRUCK." I think they actually have license plates that say "Texas Truck" and whatever the letter/number combination. I forgot to mention it, but I am certain at least 50% of the yocals will try to make it somehow say truck.
