I'm definitely a "newbie"!!  Hello.
On the avatarmovie.com site there is a series of challenges for badges.  One of questions concerning Pandora's location in the universe asks about what galaxy Pandora is in.   I answered Milky Way.
The challenge told me I was wrong, and that Pandora is in Alpha Centauri.   Alpha Centauri is not a galaxy; it is a star system within the Milky Way which happens to be our nearest neighbor at 4.7 light years away.   The question is either presented wrong, or they simply made an error.
I have been unable to find a way to communicate with the administrators of the site.
Has anyone noticed this.......or am I "last one to know"?

Kamean

You are right. Solar and Alpha Centauri star systems are both in Milky Way galaxy.

People are often wrong on the internet, correcting them has become a bit of a sport for some people.

Go to various international scientific websites to find out the most current astronomical data.

The movies Cannon borrows from reality, not the other way around.  This is partly why it is so popular.

yes ACA is a solar system, in milky way.
most people confuse between a solar system and a galaxy. even game developers.
i have just played this game that states the environment is a single star system. but it clearly shows multiple star! so it must be inside a galaxy
