How about some before and after pics of Hiroshima?

Maybe some pictures of Vietnamese child victims of napalm and agent orange birth defects?

Yes, it's not important, which photo you could use.
Every war is crazy and terrible. :(
Napalm is great example, how we all love Nature and each other.

Napalm is NOTHING ma tsmuk, you ought to see the photos taken of Dresden after the Firebombing attack.

Just following up with this...

Quote from: Taronyu Leleioae
"Damn....  Not again..."

I'd have to go check the film to see what Grace actually said in the finished film, but from the script...

Quote
GRACE
                   Aaahh, crap. Not again.

He looks over at Grace and freezes. She is looking down at a
BLOODY HAND. She clutches her abdomen, covering the
spreading stain. Looks at Jake, wide-eyed.

                             GRACE
This is gonna ruin my whole day.

                             JAKE
                   Hang on, Grace.

My interpretation is that Grace likely had been shot in the school building trying to protect the children...
Interesting find - I'll try to check movie too this weekend. I didn't notice this comment before, it always surprises me that new moments can be found in the film.
According script - I have printed it for a looong time, but still didn't read it whole, what a shame.....
Interesting find indeed. As far as I can remember, Grace only says "Crap. This is gonna ruin my whole day" in the movie/this scene.

I agree, every war is terrible, every weapon is terrible, especially those which ruin nature and people's life for decades, if not centuries, such as the nuclear s*** mankind had to invent for whatever reason they thought would justify such bulls***.

Rotobull cz

Napalm, nuclear bombs... It's terrible.
I know about bombing of Dresden. It's my favourite city. I saw several photos. Scary...  :(
This ugly weapons are horrible. War gases... >:(

I want to watch Avatar at the weekend too, because I didn't see it for a long time. (Full film).
But I can't. I won't be at home.

I agree war is terrible. However those atomic bombs were dropped to shorten the war and minimize casualties.
Probably somewhere around 250 000 were killed by them.
If the US and allies had made a conventional invasion millions would have died, estimates range from 25 000 allied dead and 5 000 000 Japanese dead to 3 500 000 allied dead and 30 000 000 plus Japanese dead.
Japan is militarily a nasty prospect to attack, mountainous, surrounded mainly by cliffs. Invasion by sea would be virtually impossible, parachute invasion a logistical implausibility. The Military planners anticipated a couple million soldiers ready to fight to the death, a militia of twenty eight million, plus a 'fanatically hostile' civilian population.
Way more would likely died on the first day of such an invasion than in the two atomic bomb blasts combined.

Tsu'tey

For me, the death of Tsu'tey, to date, the worst scene in the entire movie! I find it still very difficult scene to watch without crying! I am such a big fan of him, that it is very hard to bear when the idol dies!

Ich bleibe in Erinnerung. Ich habe mit Toruk Makto gekämpft. Und wir waren Brüder. Und er war mein letzter Schatten.

I know about use of nuclear bombs in WW2. I don't like it, but I understand the reasons of  their use in the WW2. I don't like them now. :)

I checked that scene in all (three) versions of Avatar I have and it sounds as you says.  "Not again" part is not used anywhere.

When I'll be at home alone, I'll watch the film on Blu Ray. I'm really looking forward to it. :D

Do you have a 1080 line TV to watch it on?

I have got blu ray recorder and I watched several films on it and it was great.
And our TV is compatible with BD.
720p is normal HD and 1080p is full HD (or blu ray), but I found 1440p - it's relatively rare.
And new technology is 4k - 2160p - I hope, that they will make Avatar on it, but 4k TV is expensive. :)

1440p, nice! Is it 3D?

Don't worry, by the time Avatar2 is released on disc, 4k TV will be fairly cheap, probably be much the same price as 1080p screens are now, 8k TV maybe on the market, for a premium price (a sharp insider has hinted 8k TV launch maybe 2018).
;)  ;D

I strongly suspect Cameron will have been watching 4k with interest, I'd be genuinely surprise if Avatar2 wasn't available in 4k for those movie theaters capable of showing it, and 8k wouldn't astonish me.

Standard 4k TV is 2160 lines × 3840 pixels, where as 4k movies are 2160 lines × 4096 pixels I wonder if/when TV's with this resolution will be offered?
8k TV is going to be data hungry, doubly so for 3D, 52x blue ray player anyone?

My connection is unable to run that without some buffering, and my graphics card can't handle it either.

That's a pity. My computer is old and it can't play it fastly (or normal).
It has problem just with playing a 1080p video, but 1440p in the trailer is great.  :D 8)
By the way I really like scene, where Neytiri shows Jake Seze and then she flies.
In there is a final part of ,,Pandora"- bonus score of Avatar. - http://youtu.be/0r-zbvCtR3c
Very good score. ;) it's normal HD (720p), so maybe you can watch it, ma Archaic. ;)

I'm watching Avatar now, because it had birthady.

And I'll see it early in 3D in our cinema :) They show it every Christmas since release in 2009. How nice tradition :)
