Woo, new behind-the-scenes video! From: http://www.avatarmovie.com/avatarprogram/exclusives/_vol14/

Is that some more canon Na'vi I spy with my little eye?

Tewti!

I see what they mean about the unused footage being "unfinished"... But boy howdy, there's some great new Na'vi phrases!

That looks like first generation texture mapping from the 90's.  It is probably great for fast processing even if it looks ugly.

That was released with the 3 disk set announcement... Those exclusive things are starting to get less and less exclusive...

Considering the vast hours of footage in the exclusive I think it'll still be worth the money.

"That's some damn good teylu" ... hehe...

I think they should have left part of this scene in the movie - after all, Neytiri doesnt get introduced until Grace is making Jake run through the names a bit later in the film - would have made for a better introduction I think. *shrugs*

Say what you want about the "unfinished" graphics.
Still it's amazingly cool that is what you would see if you looked at the director's viewfinder. That's what Cameron saw generated in real time as his view of the scene.
THAT is immensely cool
Down the road when computing power has advanced a magnitude over today's machinery these scenes will be quaint. Till then I'm grateful we can do what we are doing.
