I know how to move Na'vi ears!

Exactly what it says. This morning I was bored in class, not really doing much but getting my brains beating out of me. Same stuff every day. My mind kept on wondering off, (mostly to avatar. oh-rah! ), to different subjects that wasn't what was put in front of me.

Then my ears started to bother me for no reason whatsoever. I couldn't scratch cause I'd look stupid, so they kept twitching. at the same time they twitched avatar came to mind.

I suddenly realized how the Na'vi's ears moved. There's a muscle right next to, or close to, the ear canal that allows the person to move their ears, if only slightly. by moving that muscle the Na'vi can have the ears perked when not in use, and when used the ears can go down or flatten completely against their skull's. They also flatten when the person is angry. Now I can't help it when i use the muscle and imagine my imaginary ears quivering slightly in a direction.

I thought this find was f***ing awesome and wanted to see what others thought of it. please comment on what you think.

Yup, they're vestigial or absent in humans, but still prevalent in many other mammals.

Thats really cool... now I cant stop thinking of how to make that a possibility for the costume I plan to do. Not sure I will be able to master it.

My grandpa could twitch his ears!  sadly I can't, though...although I can make them move a little if I have glasses on.  Trouble is I'm still not quite sure how I do it...

its kinda like pulling them back with your hands...just not with them.

I can do it. 

I've been able to do it for years, but It just struck me several weeks ago that I was moving my ears and not my eyebrows.
If you can't do it, try to yawn without dropping your jaw, it's hard but if you can do that, it is the closest you can get without actually doing it, if you're going by how it feels.

i can move my ears  not move them out, but up and down. i sometimes move them downwars when im angry or sad, but the movement is so small you wouldnt be able to tell. i wish we had ears like the na'vi so much! and tails. i'd play with it for ages lol

I can move my ears, but its weird, my whole ear just goes back and foward, i wish i could perk up my ears and flatten them. But it would probly look wierd with our ears anyway
