It's funny, I've taken so many different languages (Russian, French, Spanish, German for 2 years, and Latin for 2 years) in school but I never really tired to learn any of them. And yet I'm doing by best to learn Na'vi on my own time. Irony.

Take me for example.
I can study Russian and finally make sense of what other people are saying around me... Or I can learn Na'vi.
Such a difficult choice, isn't it?  ;D

This is exactly the same with me i learnt  german for 2 years and french for 3 and hardly learnt anything whilst in High school. And with Na'vi i am learning it im my own time and learning lots more than i did in 5 years of school.  :)

Nr1. BRAVE TO ADMIT IT!!
Nr2. A adore you! This is avsome and sad in two ways. I Adore Avatar as much and it would be terrable wrong to cut of my long "avatar-braid" that lays down my back and but. I would feeel insanely empty without it. My boyfriend has the same and all of our friends are trying to connect them to each other. We only get pissed of then ::)

I cosplay a lot as various characters from video games and such. So "dressing up" is nothing new to me. Doing it in public is second nature because I don't consider my costume as anything different than what anyone would consider "normal clothing." Sure, I got a lot of weird looks and reactions at work the other day, but you'll be surprised that i met like 10 more people who are learning Na'vi as well. I directed them to Learnnavi.org so hopefully they will show up. But if anyone thinks i was bothered about the experience, far from the contrary. Even the idiots who said something inappropriate didn't bother me. I just called them Skxawngs.

That is seriously awesome! My boss would probably either force me to take it off or just plain fire me  :(

Parents think I'm nuts too  ;) They've even seen it and they liked it, but I guess their priorities are skewed (LMAO)  ::)

Just remember the best thing about an unpleasant retail job is there is always one next door

I wish that was the case. I'm actively looking for a second job to no avail. Admittedly, I'm not trying as hard as I did for my first job after I was fired, but still, not many places are looking for help that didn't already deny me.

The place below us is hiring. (My store is in a mall, on the second floor). But i wouldn't recommend them. They seem to go through people very quickly. I knew a friend who i referred there and he quit an hour later, saying the manager called him "incompetent" out loud in front of several customers and coworkers. I do know that when they saw me walking around with the tail during break, the manager jeered at me calling me a smurf. I ignored him. From the people that i know work there, they say it really sucks. I'm fortunate  my boss is enthusiastic about my fandom of Avatar. He even put up Avatar wallpapers on the computers in the office. And he made "Wear a tail" day where if you're brave enough to come in with a tail on, you get a $25 gift card.

Seriously, I want to call your work, that'd make my day.
Avatar is a movie about a guy with blue balls running through the forest chasing tail.

I have a script I have to read when I pick up the phone  :(. "Deli department! Ben speaking! How may I help you?" Yay, fun. Wanna trade bosses?

Orz?  ??? No clue what that means.  ;D

I'm willing to wear a tail everyday really. It's not that uncomfortable. At least the chairs in the food court (where i get food on break) are open back. So i just thread the tail through the back of the chair and sit. I remember seeing a kid in the food court staring at my tail wide-eyed. He turned to his mom... "He has a tail mommy! Just like the blue guy in the movie you took me to."
