Lulz yeah it took me a few viewings to get that. Not quite 35, but it took me like 10 I think.

It was one of the things that I spotted first time I watched. I does make me smile, even now, but i've never laughed out loud to it.

Oe mllte.  I grinned the first time I heard it, but it's not exactly a guffaw-maker.  Nothing like, "Hell, yeah!"

'Oma Tirea

Maybe you simply had a different first impression.  I kinda did too.

Although I am familiar with the blinding threat made by moms to their sons  ;)  my first thought was playing with or damaging the tswin would make him "blind to Eywa".

Me too.  It fits IF it was one Na'vi to another.  However, coming from one human to another, I find the other meaning to be more likely.

Not sure if members of the avatar program ever got to tsaheylu. I don't think it is said one way or the other in the movie. Project 880 has them do so, but Avatar, not sure. :-\

(Whispering: everyone knows but me...what's Project 880?)

Cameron wrote an 80-page scriptment for avatar way back. Technology didn't exist back then to make it, so he put it in a draw and kind of forgot about it.
That script is known as project 880.

How would he go blind? Does their optic nerve go from the eye through the tswin and back to their brain?

Neither.  IN the case of humans, it's a joke.  In the case of Na'vi it would be figurative in the sense that they might mess up an ability to have connection to Eywa.

Everytime i see that scene i think of when i was at the orthodontist and was playing with this light thing and a lady was like "dont play with that youl go blind" and im like "screw you this is fun"

I noticed a certain kind of ironic double entendre in your response. :D
