Once again, anyone inspired to travel to a new world because of this movie really needs to look into travel our own world. You'd be amazed how different other countries are. It really is like being on a different planet sometimes.

Quoteelaborate on your drug theory there so i have a better understanding.

People get depressed, and to temporarily cure this depression, they dose themselves with something Avatar related.
People get withdrawals, and to temporarily cure the symptoms, they dose themselves with their chosen substance.

It's not good, but, I can see how some people have no choice.

As someone who is starting her psych degree I can say I disagree with this statement. There are always alternatives to allowing yourself to substance abuse.

For the person suffering, it doesn't seem that way, which is what I meant.

Okay, read your earlier posts and must agree. The CD may be nice for a little pick me up, but if it seriously uplifts you from depression than it probably isn't healthy. It's just avoiding the problem at hand. Finding someone to talk your feelings out with is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Poor asian man. I wonder if the last thing he saw was Neytiri...he would have died happy.

Tìng Eywatikìte'e

It said that he died a few days later, not like in the movie theater...which would have been terrifying.

I can see it now...

You're at the love scene of the movie. Next thing you know, the guy next to you is coughing up blood into his giant bag of popcorn... You think he is throwing up because he thinks the movie sucks. You get offended and call the bouncers. They realize he is already dead and blame it on you. They say you put something into his drink...

woooh...hold everything...i just meant that listening to the soundtrack made me happier when coming to terms with the fact that it would be almost imposible to achieve a Pandora like world anywhere in the near future.  Nothing to do with substance abuse...dont know where that came from.  Didn't say nothin about suiside either...

sorry. i was just making the connection to how the soundtrack helped me get over my depression. it was then used as a simile for substance abuse. it didnt reflect onto you as much as it did on me.
