A movie that I remember very well, despite not seeing it for years, is Ben-Hur.

It was super long, but very moving. I was sad about the fact that so many horses had to die, though.

I don't like Ben-Hur. I thought it was super boring. :P

But I like another film that is often described as super boring...2001! ::)

What can I say? I like super-long movies! Gone with the Wind is good, but I can't say I felt sorry for Bonnie whn she died. What a brat.

What's 2001 about?

Kxeyo

Space. It's the movie that combines pictures of planets and spaceships with classical music.

Fact: The film is mentioned in "The Art of Avatar". :P

2001 captures the tedium of space very well.

I feel for those who had to take care of the people in cryo. I cannot begin to imagine 6 years floating in space. Ayyy...

Besides Avatar, the other movies that had a huge profound impact on me would have to be E.T. and Toy Story, specifically the third.  Because even non-Na'vi aliens and toys have feelings.

Dances With Wolves is a big one, as is Braveheart, Gone With The Wind and probably Clan of the Cave Bear.

Ahhh, you refer to "2001: A Space Odessey". Srane, that is a magnificent movie, although it is indeed one that can be boring when watched while in the wrong mood.

One of the most inspiring movies for me (don't think i'm some weirdo psycho killer :P ) is actually Silence of the Lambs.  That movie is actually the reason I got into my psychology major in the first place.  I am oddly drawn to studying weird mentalities such as those of serial killers.  I want to get into their brain and see what makes them tick.
