OMG... Radio... that was such an epic movie.

Another two movies along the same lines: Remember the Titans and Glory Road.  Basically the same two stories, but Glory Road is Basketball.  And Remember the Titans is always more epic.

Hmmm... Still, no movie has ever made me so emotionally moved as E.T. did (except Avatar).  Maybe I just have a thing for aliens...

There is only one movie I've seen more times than Avatar, and that's Ace Ventura - When Nature Calls. But the only movie that can compete with Avatar for awesomeness is the Lord of the Rings trilogy (yes, that's 3, and should be watched in one go).

And since you're already comparing to Pocahontas and stuff, I thought I'd show you this ;D

Putting aliens in randomly at the end is like total cheating!

I'm still mad at the last Indiana Jones movie. But I own it and have seen it a million times, so, not TOO mad!
